Swimming Pool, Cycling and Running Morocco’s wealthiest traditionally live in a riad, a multi-storied house surrounding an Andalusian-style courtyard. A riad offers an inward-facing sanctuary within a home, often focusing on a water feature, commonly a fountain. Here at Grand Morocc, the focus of our riad is the elegant 22 m. swimming pool, perfect for a lazy dip or for doing laps for exercise. Those looking to stay fit while on holiday, or athletes wishing to keep up their training, can also request bicycle rentals for short, or extended trips. The hotel can provide maps for a meandering ride to the local village, or for those wishing to go further afield, tourist maps to visit attractions in the surrounding area. Triathletes will find Grand Morocc to be the perfect location from which to train, as there are multiple running trails in the area and the hotel can provide route maps for distances of up to 200 km. for cyclists. |

The Grand Morocc, set at the foothills of Doi Suthep-Pui mountain rage and at the entrance to the popular Mae Sa Valley, is located 35 minutes away from Chiang Mai International Airport. Fondly called Chiang Mai’s playground, Mae Sa Valley is home to some of Chiang Mai’s prime tourist attractions. Within fifteen minutes’ drive you can be riding an elephant, visiting a tiger camp, talking with Karen long neck hill tribes, exploring the jungle on an ATV, flying over jungle canopies on a zip line and frolicking in water falls. The city center is a mere 20 minutes’ drive. |
