New regulations for carry-on baggage on international flights
|
The new rules apply only
to carry-on baggage and NOT for checked-in baggage |
|
Liquids, aerosols and
gels purchased AFTER you have passed through the
screening point are permitted.
However, this applies only to direct flights. On flights with
stop-over's you have to go through screening points again and
therefore surrender all liquids, aerosols & gels according to
the regulations below. |

| If you wan to take any liquids, aerosols or gels through the
screening point follow this regulations: |

| What are liquids, aerosols and
gels? |
Drinks, creams, perfumes, sprays,
gels, toothpaste, lipstick, lip balm and similar substances |
| What can I take with
me? |
All liquids, gels and aerosols
must be in three-ounce (100ml) or smaller containers. Larger
containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are
not allowed. Each container must be three ounces (100ml)
or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a
single, quart-size (20x20cm), zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon
size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over
sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use
only one, quart-size (20x20cm),
zip-top, clear plastic bag. |

When you get through
the screening point, you will have to surrender any liquids,
aerosols or gels greater than 100ml
INCLUDING DUTY FREE ITEMS. If the
duty free area is BEFORE the screening point put your purchases
in your check-in baggage. |
You may still carry
prescription and non-prescription medicines, baby products or
special liquids or gels for a passenger with disability or
medical condition.
These items are subject to additional
screening and proof of need may be required.
Present these items for additional inspection once reaching the
X-ray. |
