The new rules apply only to carry-on baggage and NOT for checked-in baggage
Liquids, aerosols and gels purchased AFTER you have passed through the screening point are permitted.
However, this applies only to direct flights. On flights with stop-over's you have to go through screening points again and therefore surrender all liquids, aerosols & gels according to the regulations below.

If you wan to take any liquids, aerosols or gels through the screening point follow this regulations:
What are liquids, aerosols and gels? Drinks, creams, perfumes, sprays, gels, toothpaste, lipstick, lip balm and similar substances
What can I take with me? All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce (100ml) or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces (100ml) or smaller.

All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size (20x20cm), zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size (20x20cm)
, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
When you get through the screening point, you will have to surrender any liquids, aerosols or gels greater than 100ml
INCLUDING DUTY FREE ITEMS.
If the duty free area is BEFORE the screening point put your purchases in your check-in baggage.
You may still carry prescription and non-prescription medicines, baby products or special liquids or gels for a passenger with disability or medical condition.
These items are subject to additional screening and proof of need may be required.
Present these items for additional inspection once reaching the X-ray.
