SongKhla Zoo
Songkhla Zoo was established in May 1989 by the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand.Located in Khao Roob Chang sub-district, Muang district in Songkhla, the zoo covers area of 911 Rais.
Roles of Songkhla Zoo
1. Animal breeding and conservation of wildlife.
2. Source of wildlife research, information and preservation.
3. Provide recreational backdrop for the public.
Songkhla Zoo also shall serve as a breeding center for Tapirs, a rare species of animal found in jungles of the Southeast Asian region.
