The City Park Hotel is nestled on the quiet area just 5 minutes from town and 15 minutes from the Airport. The City Park Hotel comprise 3 modern - Storey Wing Building with connecting by covered walkways. It includes 12 acres of beautiful tropical garden with Thai Kitchen and Herb Garden. Daily flight by The Thai Airways from Bangkok International Airport takes only 1 hours. Daily bus from Bangkok to Nan and Train from Dechai to Nan.
About the hotel: Pleasant clean room, cleaned daily. Delightful large pool in garden setting. Breakfast barely acceptable. I would not eat an evening meal here! Good food hall & Chinese restaurant nearby in Tesco complex 10mins walk towards Nan. Major problem is that the hotel is way out of Nan on highway south of the city, at least 2km further out than the bus station. The map on the hotel website is VERY misleading! as it indicates that the hotel is near the police station. In fact it is at least 3km away! Transport into Nan is possible via public bus in the mornings but no return bus seems to exist. Tuk tuk & sangthew transport was very expensive back to hotel. No complimentary transport to bus station.
I would not stay here in future. The Devarej Hotel is right in the centre of Nan & also apparently has a pool.
