" Tropical Palm is located very close to Lamai - up in the hills a few minutes drive from the centre. I was so glad that we stayed away from the centre and got some tranquility! The owners and staff were all lovely and we really enjoyed our stay and found it exceptional value for money. We hired a car (1000 baht/day) to explore the island and would definitely recommend doing this too so that you can make the most of your trip. Go to the west side of the island for less touristy areas, e.g. sunset at Taling Ngam beach is amazing. "
