Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach I stayed here for 2 nights with my family and relatives total 9 persons. The atmosphere here is all right. The facilities in bungalow is simple and natural. No compliment drinking water in the rooms. The staffs will make up your room when you check out only. The foods in the restaurant are standard. The service is quite standard. Nothing is over your expectation. Next time we visit Samui we may stay here again or not. |
Booking service is very efficient. It is easy and fast. I know the result of my booking in 24 hours. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Nice and simple place. Nice stuff except the arrogant owner. God food, nice beach. We moved to World Resort, nearby, nice resort with a pool and breakfast buffet included, for the same price. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The Free House is situated on a beautiful beach with fabulous views of the sea. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and will also help you to book any trips. The food is gorgeous; infact so nice we didn t eat anywhere else for 6 nights. All in all a marvellous place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone who wants a laid back relaxing holiday |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach We have in no way to appreciate the free house bungalow to Koh Samui. The reception is unpleasant, price lists(rates) were raised(were brought up) for little of comfort and cleanliness of the bungalow. We stayed at 5 nights and not only once the household(housework) was made. No change of towel(briefcase) either. We reserved a bungalow with big bed and warm water. We had the right(law) of credit note of the warm water that 3 days after our arrival. The manager and the staff Laughed at it while the repair of the shower set only 2 minutes. Then, an advice(council): AVOID Free House Bungalow to Koh Samui. |
The service of booking on Sawadee is completed. He(it) is clear, and easy. We reserve all our hotels by this site for 3 years. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The hotel was okay, right on the beach. The room was fine but the 45 baht charge for a bottle of drinking water for the room was exorbitant. We moved to Sandy Resort, nearby, where we had a nice place with a pool and buffet breakfast included, for much less. |
Sawadee was great, getting part of my deposit back. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach For dog lovers definetly but why bungalows look worse than dogs hut??? Dirty and stinking place. Big mistake. We moved out at once. |
Super. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Bungalows were very clean but basic (but that is reflected in the price you pay)and more than adequate. The food in the restaurant was good and the family who owned the Bungalows were very friendly. Boput Beach was a very quiet resort and at night if you are wanting atmosphere you will need to head out of Boput. |
Very easy and very efficient. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach We were lucky to come right after the rains stopped, but before more tourists came, so all the beach was ours and the sea was very clean. Bungalow was rather simple, just what we expected for such a low price, a good sleeping place with a hot shower and a fan. We were quite nervous about not having an AC at first, but in the end we didnt even use fan much. November temperature was quite comfortable as is. A good restaurant, just like everywhere in Thailand. :) Right outside the Hotel there was a shop where we bought some tours to see the island, very convenient. During the night Bophut beach is really sleepy - all shops and restaurants are closed, but we ve found a nice establishment down the road, owned by an old-school rock n roll musician from Los Angeles. In other words, many helpful and pleasant people all around the place. :) We had a nice stay there. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Cheap compared to the neighbours, but I think you could probably get better value in the village itself. Hot water in the shower was sporadic, and not available in the sink; the room was only cleaned once during my stay (10 days) and the lighting quite dim. That said, I extended twice as it has a very laid back atmosphere and is fine if you are looking after yourself and not expecting hotel service. Let s face it, who s going to sit in there room all day while on holiday? Friends called and were told I had checked out which was annoying. Check out the massage on the beach out front, they were always busy. |
No problems with the service. Don t worry about special instructions though, they don t actually get read by anyone... |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach A nice relaxed, family run hotel. It s basic, but for the price very good value. The staff are friendly, the restaurant great and the bar will stay open if you want a few quiet night caps. Beach chairs at the front, massage, etc on the beach. I recommed it if you want a basic, but relaxed breach break. |
No problem booking. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Art (manager) is hilarious. He literally cracked us up every time he spoke. The staff is very friendly. The bartender is awesome. A very quiet place to stay which was very nice. Bring bug repellant for nightime. You can easily rent cycles and jeeps. Recommended stay. Close to Fisherman s Village where there are several good restaurants. Highly recommended to rent a jeep or cycle and travel around the island. Pack light as there are several places to wash clothes for a very cheap price (30BAT/kg). The sun is scorchingly hot so make sure to pack suntan lotion. The B52 tastes marvelous from the bar. The Chef salad and coffee are good as well. Pretty much the manager Art makes it a great place to stay. |
very fast (within days) |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Freehouse is an excellent bungalow hotel. The hotel is locationed on a nice part of Bophut..actually, the nicer hotels on this beach are not always the case. Freehouse has an open area restaurant which is very calming and also social. The rooms were perfect. We rented many rooms and they were all perfect. Air-con and basic rooms were all nice. It depends what matters to you. The food is excellent! (not always the case at some hotels) It says a lot about the owners to know that they really care about dogs and there are nice pets to the hotel. Diffenately recommended!!! |
excellent! |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The ideal place for dog-lovers! Price compared to the room- size/equipment is too high, you can get better for less! NO room-service 5 days (no new towels, paper or linings, rubbish is your own thing). Wear rubber boots if it rains to enter from the main road you might get stuck in mud/dirt! Restaurant too expensive especially ALL drinks (i.e. 1 Chang-beer THB 120.-, 1 Coke 45!!!). Go 5 minutes to your left (Bophut-direction) and pay for the same in new really nice restaurant THB 55/20! Swimming between rubbish, plastics and oil-canister! Not recommended! |
O.k. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The resort is not located very conveniently but you could find restaurant, travel agency, motobike rent shop, etc., around. The beach where the resort located is great and the garden is also extremely wonderful. All people said the restaurant of the resort was delicious but I think it s just normal. Everyone is helpful and kind but the fat guy (might be the supervisor or the boss?) only had a normal attitude. The massage on the beach is great. Generally, everything is ok. |
Great. No problem at all. |
| Tim Webb 2006-10-23 until 2006-10-29 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach We were 2 friends travelling together and took the 2 bedroom bungalow. Our stay was exactly how we hoped it would be, very relaxing, great resort with the best food and absolutely no hitches. I was speaking to the owner about dolphins and unbelievably 3 or 4 appeared, jumping and playing...it was beautiful. |
Easy and stress free. |
| Mrs T Larner 2006-08-10 until 2006-08-15 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach This place was great value for money and the food in the restaurant was to be recommended. We found that the beach was clean and quiet always sun loungers available. Added bonus of the massage tables on beach suppling fabulous massage and fantastic foot scrub, mai pedi and facial I had the lot!!! Also great snacks available from beach vendors the kids had sweetcorn and fresh mangos, pineapple and coconut daily for lunch, great. The bungalows are basic and a little dark not much space to store or unpack but for the cost what can you expect? They were clean and bug free! The beds were comfy and mosquito nets supplied. I would definately return here. |
Very easy to use and found the reviews helpful. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach We arrived with the notion of only staying for 5 days and ended up staying for an additional 6 nights. This was a wonderful location, the service and food were excellent and it felt like a home-away-from-home. Each day the staff, the dogs and the beaches welcomed us. Easy-going and friendly and close to all ammenities. We had a wonderful stay and would return at the drop of a hat. We met people who will remain life-long friends and have memories that will remain with us for the rest of our lives. The rooms are basic and clean and not to mention extremely well priced. If it is variety you are after, a quick walk up the beach allows you to experience other tastes, people and music - the view is always the same, exquisite. Who could ask for more. |
Excellent |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Nice and quiet place with very kind personnel. I had to deal with a few giant cockroachs in the small cottage room, but hey, this is Thailand ! Nonetheless, the place is pretty hard to locate, and isolated : a vehicule is indispensable if you want to move around, even to reach the close (and wonderful) village of Bo Phut. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach We loved the bungalow and the location. The restaurant is was a highlight, too. We noticed that people came from up and down the beach to eat here--and with good reason. Both the Thai and non-Thai dishes were the best food we ate on the island. Bophut is away from the crowds and noise of Chaweng, but still has enough around to be interesting. The accomodations are basic, but a good deal for the price--exactly what we were looking for! |
smooth--no problems |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Friendly staff and fantastic food. Rooms basic but comfortable. Make sure you ask for a room away from the ajoining bar or your room becomes somewhat of a nightclub!! I d definitely recommend this place. |
No problems. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach We had great time at Free Hau -bungalows. The staff was the best; friendly & relaxed. Food was delicious at the beachfront restaurant. Bungalows are basic but comfortable, well located from the quiet and beautiful beach. Atmosphere with the lovely dogs was great. This place was a real find and we sure will come back next year!!! ;) |
No problems. Will use again. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The houses are very small and simple, but clean. There is no roomservice. The prices are a little bit to high for that what you get, but the restaurant- food and drinks- are very good! Many many lovley dogs live in this resort and they make pipi on the beach. It s o.k. for a short time, but i have seen a lot of better resorts. |
Quick and fast. Will use again. Everything allright! |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach Very friendly and relaxed place with great staff and the food was lovely. The room (fan bunglaow) was tidy and clean. Right on the beach it was an ideal location for a quiet few days yet close to bars if you needed them. |
No problems, quick and easy to use. |

Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The Freehouse Bungalow-pictures showed at sawadee.com are not really up to date. The garden isn t nearly as green as showed. Sandy areas with stones between sporadically spots of grass. It seems, that the management doesn t take much care of the facility. The plants weren t watered, old chairs and some waste between bungalows, dogs urinating in front of our terrace, just beside an old plastic boat lying there. The (AC/FAN/Garden) Bungalow is at low standard, blank walls, just one table, no chair and not sufficient possibility for storing clothes. The hammock was nt very clean and therefore removed after 3 days without repalcement. The rooms get cleaned 2 times weelkly (incl. bed and fresh towels). The staff is very friendly and spares no effort to keep the customers holidays at Freehouse Bungalow comfortable. The beachside Freehouse-Restaurant is one of the best we visited in our holidays, good food-quality and huge shakes at medium price level. Due to english-conversation-problems with the girl in the restaurant service we were served quite often with everything but not with what we ordered. This was not really a problem - we got used to it. In contrast to the crowds of people at Chaweng, the Bophut beach is really a nice and calm place. If your demands on the accommodation facilities an the surroundings are not so high, I can recommend Freehouse Bungalow for relaxed holidays. |
he Sawadee booking service worked well. We had no airport transfer although we booked it. |
| Chris Wymann 2005-02-28 until 2005-03-07 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The Bungalow was big, clean, in good shape and cosy. I guess they have Ko-Samuis best thai-cook employeed, we were looking for other places to eat and had to give up. Walking along the beach we realised, that Free House Bungalow is a very good place to stay. Almost forgotten to mention: The crew makes you feel home the moment you arrive. Children welcome ... |
Prepayment and Reservation caused no problems at all. The knew that we arrive and that we paieed in advance. |
| Tim & Brian 2005-02-08 until 2005-02-11 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach This is a real find. From the laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff to the delicious Thai food and excellent, quiet location right on the beach, Free House shouldn t be missed. Dog lovers and everyone who enjoys a diverse group of fellow travellers are right at home here. |
Couldn t have done it without you. Very efficient. |
| Tiffany Sampson 2005-02-02 until 2005-02-10 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach My family and I stayed at Free House Bungalow for over a week. We had a lovely time there. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food was delicious. It is reasonably priced for having easy access to the beach from the restaurant/bar. The staff are also friendly and helpful. |
It was very easy to book through this service. There were no problems and I would book again through Sawadee. |
| Anh-Tuan Bui 2004-11-24 until 2004-11-26 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach awesome place. bophut isn t nearly as nice as chaweng beach and the spot on the beach that the bungalow occupies isn t even the best part of bophut , but the place itself is awesome. cheap lodgings, really good food (the best i had on koh samui) make it well worth it. the staff was very hospitable, and the drinks are huge. however, don t expect all the trappings of modern life, you pay 10 bucks a day and that s what you get. the sheets dont get changed and the rooms don t get cleaned, so if that s what you want this isn t your place. otherwise, i strongly reccomend free house bungalow |
sucks. they didn t even know we were coming, but the manager still accepted the receipt of our reser vation so it came out ok. luckily he had a room for us, i d hate to imagine what would happen if that room had not opened up |
| Susie Jung 2004-10-18 until 2004-10-20 |
Free House Bungalow, Bophut Beach The first day we arrived, we found that the room was small with two cot-like beds. There were three dim lights: one by the front door(which was not working), the side of the room and one towards the back, near the bathroom. The floor was concrete, painted and looked like someone had mopped it badly, leaving muddy streaks. The bathroom was much the same with no tub or curtain, just the faucet attached to an electronic device which was to provide hot water, but didn t. Although a bit unhappy, I settled into the worn hammock on the front porch to drink my Heinekin and look out to the water as we had a beachfront bungalow. Turning to my left, I could see the bar and the employees watching TV. We turned in early, around 8 but I awoke to sounds of my friend vomiting, which continued and became worse. I ran towards the far end of the bungalows assuming the owners lived there but was chased back by very large dogs which claimed the area with loud intimidating barks. I found one light on and knocked on the door and the owner(I assume) came out and I told her that I thought my friend needed to go to the hospital. Kindly, she drove us to the hospital she knew we would be taken good care of (Thai International Hospital, the very best staff) at 11pm and was very kind to us. Two days later, my friend came out of the hospital but we decided to change bungalows because of our fear of dogs and our need of at least lukewarm water to shower. We would like to thank the kind lady who took us to the hospital. |
Great |
