Indigo Pearl, a distinctive luxury industrial chic resort inspired by the tin mining history of Phuket, has attracted worldwide acclaim within a year of opening.

The US$21 million fusion of modern architecture and Thai tin-mining tradition on Nai Yang Beach, just 10 minutes from Phuket International Airport, was recently named one of the best new hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveler (US) in its '2007 Hot List of top new resorts, spas, restaurants and nightclubs.

The range of 277 distinctive rooms, villas, pool pavilions and suites all embody the Indigo Pearl resort experience and feature surreal design underscored by deluxe comfort.

The resort, where the imaginative, playful atmosphere extends from the architecture itself to a range of unique leisure facilities, both on land and sea, allows guests to sculpt their own holiday activities. The eight food and beverage outlets, on this secluded Andaman Sea beachfront resort, range from Thai at Black Ginger and tapas served al fresco in Rebar to modern European fare at Tin Mine.

The historic infrastructure also accommodates a large Conference Pavilion for up to 900 delegates - - including a 600sq.m. Grand Ballroom and twelve adjoining meeting rooms - targeting the meetings and incentive (MICE) market.

Plantation Villas nestle in intimate settings in a quiet niche of the resort. The name of these villas evoke the lush rubber plantations that once blanketed the island. Designed to blend outdoor and indoor living, furnishings and artwork offer the ultimate in postmodern style.

Guests enter each villa through a private open-air courtyard featuring an outdoor bath, double sun lounger, sun umbrella and dining setting. A vaulted wooden ceiling tops the bedroom. At the back of each villa, the bathroom opens onto a second courtyard with gardens and alfresco shower.

Interior space of each villa is 35 square meters, with an additional 30 square meters of courtyard space, outdoor shower and bath.

Embodying the Indigo Pearl experience, the Pearl Bed Suite rooms offer a spectacular interplay of rich wood and stone floors. Postmodern accents are at work in the furnishing, lighting and art. The expansive terrace makes outdoor relaxation irresistible. Luxurious bathrooms sport walk-in wardrobes. Enjoy a private view of the garden from the stylish tub discreetly positioned on its own balcony.

The pavilion gardens sport an outdoor bath, double sun lounger, and sun umbrella, while featuring pankawalla fans that recall the region's past.

Interiors are 50 square meters with an expansive 62 square meters terrace space and outdoor bath.

Suffused with luxurious detail, the Private Pool Pavilions offer a spectacular interplay of rich wood and stone. Postmodern accents are at work in the furnishings, lighting and art. Astounding design drawn from Thai influences, modern architecture and the architects own imagination.

A cooling plunge pool awaits in the pavilion courtyard, which also sports an outdoor bath, double sun lounger, and sun umbrella.

Interiors are 50 square meter with a 55 square meter terrace and plunge pool of 8 square meters.

Modern grill concept. Indigo Pearls Signature restaurant. Fresh, simple, crisp flavours. Extensive New World wine list. Relaxed atmosphere with an element of sophistication.

Open-air restaurant / bar with views of the gardens and Andaman sunsets. Indoor and outdoor seating. Extensive selection of tapas and Japanese tit bits. The character of Rebar shifts slowly throughout the evening. Sunset cocktails, pre-dinner aperitifs, tapas dinners, after-dinner drinks, and lounge music created by a DJ and subtly evolving to match the mood.

Formerly called Tongkah, Phuket was once a global centre for tin mining. This history is recalled by Indigo Pearl's snooker hall and bar which serves a selection of whiskies from around the world. An excellent place to relax while surrounded by postmodern design that re-envisions the island history with a sense of imagination and modern style.

Cafe with comfortable seating area set in lush tropical gardens. Underground Café is next to the main pool sheltered by trees and umbrellas.
Special highlights include home-made ice cream and pastries, original sandwiches, and afternoon teas. We serve one of the best tea brands in the world. All unique in flavor and presentation.
