The hotel is set on the waterfront and conveniently close to the pier for ferries to Samui, Koh Tao and Chumphon. Within walking distance you will find the shops, market and restaurants of the island`s quaint little township.

About the hotel:
We had 3 nights accommodation at this hotel, we arrived there to find mouldy curtains with holes in them and the carpet parting from the floor, i think maybe there had a been a leak there? There was hardly any light in the bathroom and i think something was flooding as there was water all over the floor. We left and found another place on Haad Rin to stay. The beds were fine though, If you re looking for something really basic then stay here, but it is still around 20 minutes to almost half an hour drive to Haad Rin and there are no swimming beaches around the hotel.

Pha-Ngan Chai Hotel is located on the unspoilt, picturesque island of Phangan, offering a relaxing and hassle free holiday for guests.

The hotel is set on the waterfront and conveniently close to the pier for ferries to Samui, Koh Tao and Chumphon. Within walking distance you will find the shops, market and restaurants of the island's quaint little township.

Being near the pier, the hotel is at the centre of the island's network of small roads and tracks as well as coastal boat services.

As a result, it is only minutes by land or sea from the hotel to Robinson Crusoe style beaches, lush green forests with giant flowers and colorful wildlife, and fascinating Buddhist temples. The hotel provides a well equipped base from which to explore and enjoy the whole island.

The Pha-Ngan Chai Hotel offers 59 rooms with garden or sea views. The garden view rooms overlook and old coconut plantation whilst the sea view rooms look south towards Koh Tae Nai and further towards Samui.

The Pha-Ngan Chai Hotel is just a 20 minutes from Haad Rin Nok Beach, site of the famous dusk to dawn
'Full Moon Party' that takes place every month.

Just 400m offshore from the hotel is Koh Tae Nai, a small and beautiful island which is ideal for boat trips and picnics - complete with caves, inlets, coral reefs and superb panoramic views from the 500m high summit.
From its location at the centre of Koh Phangan's land and sea transport, the hotel can arrange walking trips to the interior forests, mountains and water falls and boat trips to explore the island's beaches for fishing, diving and Snorkelling - or just plain sun bathing and the occasional swim.

** Trips can also be arranged to the Wat Kow Tahm Meditation Centre, with panoramic views and a sacred footprint of the Buddha.
