Haad Son Resort is located on its own secluded white and bay on the poplar sunset coast of Koh Phangan. The resort has been established for nearly a decade and the rich tropical gardens and wonderful natural surroundings have matured with time, harmonizing with the environment and creating a special private paradise
There are 47 rooms in total all coming with en-suite bathroom and in numerous styles providing a great variety of accommodation options. Ranging from Island style huts with fan for the budget traveler up to air-conditioned bungalows with twin double beds, minibar, hot water and UBC satellite TV for those who want to live it up a little.

About the hotel:
Beautiful bungalow in a gorgeous tropical park right alongside the beach. Great setting; wish the cleaning staff were more efficient though, especially in the maintenance of the bathroom floor. Several very good restaurants nearby. Definitely, a place we would recommmend.

About the hotel:
The staff and the general hotel was very nice. However we paid for a delux garden villa, we got a nasty room with cockroaches and no air con. The saving grace of the hotel is the communal area with tv and food, so chilled out and people were amazing. Apparently the hotel rooms and villas were nice, so if you get one of those then this is a winner. Be warned though, getting home after full moon is a nightmare, its about 45mins or so.

The Resort was great! the staff was extremely helpful and made a lot of bookings for us. has a very nice pool, AMAZING private beach and nice restaurant. we recommend not to book ahead if not on high season, as prices will suprise you for the good upon arrival. note that a taxi to thong sala will cost 150b pp, and to haad rin 200-250pp. bottom line - great place!!

My Mom and I stayed at Haad Son Resort for 5 days and have nothing but positive and good things to say about it. Our beach front room was lovely, the small private beach was right outside our door and we had a gorgeous sunset view. The staff was helpful, fun and hard working. Oh, the manager is a sweetie, she was always available to us and was able to help us with anything we needed. Their dining menu is large enough that you can find something for every preference. You will not regret staying at Haad Son especially if you like a clean, quiet (but not so quiet that it s boring) gorgeous resort.

About the hotel:
A very nice & friendly family hotel where we stayed for 5 days but we would definately have stayed longer if we hadn t already booked hotel on Koh Samui. We were there in the end of March and it felt as if we had the hotel, pool and beach, almost, to ourselves. We stayed in the beach bungalow and it was good but the shower didn,t have a curtain or something so the whole bathroom was soaking wet every time any of us (4!) took a shower.

The room was not ready when we arrived @ 4pm. Garden AC Room are good but no tv, no fridge. Very good hotel, nice swimming pool. Restaurant ok but Thai food is awfull. It s not thai more western style. Private nice beach. Don t hesitate to rent a motorbike cause nothing to do in Haad Son. All is done for staying at the hotel !!

We have stayed here twice, 6 days in feb 2007 and 3 days in feb 2008. The resort is one of the best in Koh Phangan according to us. We had an Ocean view bungalow with an very lovely view of the ocean. The sunsets are amazing. The staff is nice and helpfull, especially the woman in charge of most of the things. The restaurant have small dishes and the staff are sometimes a little confused but they are nice and friendly. The pool is great. You can lie in the pool and watch the sunset. The resort has a private little beach. If you are looking for some peace and quiet Haad Son is perfect. Just 10 minutes drive to the north with bike is Koh Ma. We would definitive recommend Haad Son. If you stay at the resort you must try the coconutshake.

About the hotel:
We reserved 2 superior bungalos with AC and hot water for 4 persons. Since my first visit in January 2005, the hotel was entirely renovated and everything was just fantastic. Everything is cleaned and relaxed. The pool is quite nice and clean. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for something quiet away from Haad Rin. Haad Yao is just 5 minutes away by foot if someone wants to go out at night or see something else.The personnel is very friendly and helpful, I will go back again.

About the hotel:
Georgious hotel and fantastic beach with very few people, wonderful water. BUT, we stayed for five days, no cleaning in the room and we had to ask for toilet paper every day, even buy it one evening as the reception closed before 9 pm. Very few guests and as the hotel have chosen to have very high prices in the bar and restaurant were we the only guests in the restaurant, and the staff were playing pool. Not very nice environment. We only dined there once. For breakfast we took 3 coffee, 2 scrambled eggs with bacon, 2 juice, fresh fruit and youghurt with honey. They charged 650 baht. At the next stop they only charged 215 baht, same standard. It is too big difference to be fair.

There are two restaurant areas at Haad Son Resort, set into the hillside and commanding stunning sunset sea views over the Island of Angthong National Marine Park.

The experienced team of chefs are equally at home cooking both Western and Thai cuisine, serving a vast range of Thai and Asian dishes and using imported cheese, herbs and other delicacies for authentic taste.

Their daily choice of fresh seafood is a tantalizing selection of everything from giant prawns to the locals favorite of Mackerel steak.




The swimming pool is impressively set into the hillside, perfect for a sunset dip with amazing sea views. It is complimented with a small children pool and there are plenty of sun lounges for those who want to chill by the pool. If you would rather see a bit of beach action, there is volleyball, badminton and even the occasional game of football -  or great swimming, snorkeling and even kayaking!

There is a beach bar so that during the day you are only footsteps away from a cooling cocktail and it is a great place to watch the fishing boats light up the night sky. The resort is also fully equipped with satellite television, internet and international telephone and fax services.

The beach of Haad Son Resort is one of a very few on the Island which has remained undeveloped and it presents a perfect picture of an idyllic desert island cove. The resort occupies the north end of the beach whilst the central and southern areas completely uninhabited, leaving a 300 meter long stretch of virgin white sand fringed with tall shady coconut palms.

A live coral reef vibrant with mesmerizing corals and amazing tropical marine life lies about 70 meters from the shoreline, providing an easily accessible gateway into the fantastic underwater world of scuba diving and snorkeling. Either side of the broad beach, huge granite formations form protective arms around the cove, cutting is off from the neighboring beaches and adding to the feeling that it is your every own private bay!
