Remark cottage resort & restaurant is actually in Koh Chang, Trat provice. It’s far away from Bangkok approximately 315 Kilometers around 4-5 hours to reach here. The resort is a distinct-style house, created from the natural materials fit with nature in a secluded setting; resort offered only 15 special units, located on a private beach surrounding with impressive view of the sea. Nevertheless, the resort is most quiet and peaceful place, all service and amenities are provided in Remark Cottage Resort. get pleasure from a variety of invigorating activities, experience the energy in Gulf of Thailand in a canoe, determine a whole new world diving in the untouched shallow coral reef-a kaleidoscope of multi-colored fish unparalleled on Koh Chang, and only 100 meters from our doorstep. For thrill seekers, we offer adventurous speedboat trips to the other nearby island.

About the hotel:
We were initially very disappointed with the hotel because the website and the address give the impression of it being on a white sandy beach but this is not the case so beware of the very misleading photos. The beach is all rocks but there is a man made sandy area built behind a rock wall. Whoever took the website photos took them at high tide and crouched down on the hotel s 10 metre sandy area to give the impression of a sandy beach leading down to the surf - naughty naughty! The nearest sandy beach is a songtaew ride of at least 2km in either direction. Take sandals that you can wear in the sea or you will have a very painful walk over the rocks to get into the sea! Also, the sea-view rooms, for which we paid more, do not have a sea view. The rooms are small with just a tiny area to hang a few clothes, no drawer space at all so we lived out of our suitcases for a week. Those are the bad bits. The good bits are that it is quiet, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the garden area leading down to the rocky beach is photogenic and the food is excellent. If you do stay then I recommend devoting one night to enjoying a quiet dinner there. This is not a family hotel, the kids want sand and surf and things to do.

IL posto e veramente bello in un giardino fantastico peccato pero che non c e accesso al mare perche c e solo una tristissima baietta sassosa, la piscina e ridicola e zanzare a flotte

About the hotel:
This is my first trip to Koh Chang. I worried about where I should to stay. I tried to search for a hotel which have a pool, a nice room and nearby the beach, White Sand Beach. Everywhere I called to was full, finally I found Remark Cottage, the room looked nice and the atmosphere of the resort is wonderful in my opinion...I decided to book this one. When I arrived there, it is better than I think. It is so cute and natuarally.. The staff took care us very well..If you want a privacy and deeply relexing. I think this resort could offer these things for you... I will be back again..Thanks..

How to get there

Trat province locates on the east of Thailand, with its border connected to Cambodia. Its total distance from Bangkok is around 315 kilometers, about 4-5 hours to travel.

By Car
From Bangkok, take Highway No. 34 (Bang Na-Trat) or Motorway to Chonburi, then use Highway No. 344 (Ban Bung-Klaeng) Arriving at Klaeng, turn onto Highway No. 3 and proceed to Trat. The total distance from Bangkok to Trat is 318 kilometers.

By Bus
Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses depart from Bangkok's Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekkamai) to Trat every hour from 6 a.m. to midnight. From Bangkok the buses to Trat cost 169 baht for 1st class air-conditioned buses (132 baht for 2nd class) and 197 baht for 24-seat VIP air-conditioned buses or 113 baht for regular buses. The trip takes five to six hours by air-conditioned bus or about eight hours by regular bus.

Several non air-conditioned buses leave daily, starting from 07.00 a.m.-11.00 p.m. Air-conditioned buses leave every 1.30 hours, starting from 07.00 a.m.-11.00 p.m.
