Mr Roger Boot 2008-04-20 until 2008-04-24	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay We arrived by boat in Bang bao from Koh Maak - The arrangment was to phone the hotel on arrival at the pier to be picked up - they would send a car to meet us - fine. When we arrived, we phoned....the hotel phone wouldn t work! The up shot of this was that I left my wife standing with all our luggage while I proceeded to walk for about 2km down a rough dirt track (that no taxi wanted to go). It was extremely hot and when I arrived, the lady behind the desk simply said phone, no work - I give you my mobile number . -If you want to stay at Nirvana and need to be picked up ENSURE YOU HAVE THE RECEPTIONISTS MOBILE NUMBER FIRST!!!!! - Otherwise d be prepared for a long walk!!! Providing you don t mind the mosquitoes (there was an outbreak of Dengue fever while we were there) and the tiny ants (they didn t bite) sharing your bed, it could be considered quite nice. For someone who perhaps just wants to stay a couple of nights to chill out away from the hustle and bustle, it could be appealing. Bang boa fishing village isn t far away - it reqires either a very slow bumpy ride on the dirt track courtesy of the hotel transport or a stroll along a debris stewn beach/building site and through the local s back yards to reach the pier. The LAN internet was ok (when it worked) and the dvd/tv/audio system in the room was good. Food was average - beware,though,that if you ask for a second cup of coffee at breakfast you will be charged 50 bahts a time which appears on your bill when you check out. A much better alternative place to stay for the same cost is the Nisa Cabana which is close by.	Excellent
David Gurganus 2008-04-19 until 2008-04-25	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay This is a great place to stay if, like us, you re looking for solitude and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was fantastic and was more than adequate for our week s stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were able to book and pre-pay charters for us that wouldn t accept credit cards. The restaurant (Tantra) is fabulous. We tried to sample each of their local dishes (ask for Thai spicy) and were delighted each time. We ll stay here again if we re able to return to Koh Chang.	We were not disappointed with this service. It saved us some money as opposed to booking direct and everything was as advertised. No problems at all. We d definitely use this service again.
Anders Croon 2008-02-17 until 2008-02-28	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay Great hotel. We really enjoyed our stay at the Nirvana Resort, Koh Chang. The service and the restaurant was perfect and so was the bungalows too. We will hopefully come back.	Great.
Anthony Scott 2008-02-01 until 2008-02-08	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay The resort was fantastic and exceeded our expectations.It is of the beaten track and one does need a scooter or a car to move around.The beach front studio was big and inviting with a balcony which overlooked the port.The food was great and the service was brilliant. We had a minor problem with the restroom but we got moved to a another studio.The cleanliness could have been better. The WiFi did not work in either of our rooms but it was functional at the reception. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would definately return if given the opportunity.	The booking service was efficient and easy to use.
sheila petersen 2008-01-27 until 2008-02-01	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay We are a family of five who stayed at nirvana resort in january 2008 - We stayed for five nights, and really had a good time. The children loved boths swimming pools (the rock pool is very deep - more than 2 meter). We had a beautiful view over the sea from our beachfront villa, but you cant swim at the small beach: the water is not clean and there is a lot of broken glass. The food in the restaurant is very good, but there is room for improvements on the breakfast. The little fisherplace Bang Bao - which is only fifthteen minuts walk from the resort is a really charming place to spend the nights - very good seafood restaurants :-)and not so many tourists (remember a flashlight for the walk cause it is a pretty dark walk.) Remember to see the sundown from the rockwalk at the resort it is a very beautiful view. The staff at the resort is very friendly and effective. We had some problems with the water the day after we arrived and they had someone to fix it very quickly. Overall - Nirvana is perfect if you want a nice and quiet stay with few other tourists.	NO problems with Sawadee.
Michael Snell 2007-12-20 until 2007-12-28	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay In a beautiful location at the end of the island 10mins footpath walk from a fishing village. Restaurant food exremely good & well presented by pleasant staff. Apart from food menus there was no other info in the room re trips etc. Reception never seemed to smile!	Fine - easy and payment simple & everything worked as booked
Herbert Kunz 2007-04-22 until 2007-04-29	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay A wonderful get away. You are really away from everything, so you might enjoy your stay in the jungle. And whithout private vehicle you are almost lost in the jungle. So far, accomodation is excellent, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Some of the offered facilities did not work, but the friendlyness of the Nirvana-team made us forget some umconveniencies.	First class, efficient and ready to fullfill extraordinary wishes. Thank you, made an excellent job
Kirsten Holst-Eklund 2007-01-09 until 2007-01-16	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay Indeed a wonderful resort. Some 12 bungalows and densly populated although we visitied in the peak-season. Walkingdistance - 15 minutes - to the Bao Bang pier with nice restaurants. We filed a complaint when Hotelmanager invited her female Thai-friends with Swedish(?)spouses/noisy children to the Pool-area!!!	Works very smoothly - as usually.

Gary Dicks 2006-07-03 until 2006-07-06	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay Great bungalow,fantastic pools (mountain fresh water pool is the best) all set in tropical garden ideal getaway. only a few problems Internet in room was LAN connection (wall socket) and it did not work for the whole time I stayed at resort nor did the pool side wi-fi. I had to drive for 20 minutes 1st gear all the way up and down mountain roads to nearest town to find restaurant. hotel food was good but you may like a change of menu if you stay more than few days. Would stay again if I wanted quite get away	very good service and excellent price from sawasdee.com
Jilly Evans 2006-06-17 until 2006-06-24	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay A really wonderful, tranquil, natural place. The freshwater pool is gorgeous. Not much of a beach but the snorkellng is pretty good off the rocks to the West. Restaurant makes great (hot!) Tom Yum - the seafood restaurants in Bang Bao are also worth a few visits. Blue Cafe Dive Shop on the pier at Bang Bao are a very safe and friendly outfit with a fab boat - ask for Mike. Rooms have natural decor and a cosy feel. Very quiet during both day and night. Only minor irritation of the whole week was the noise from the televisions the staff watch constantly in the pool bars. We had to keep asking them to turn it down. Otherwise highly recommended as a perfect retreat from the rat race!	Once we got over the fact that we couldnt pick up the phone and speak to a human being it actually went quite smoothly and our email queries were responded to in due course. Would still prefer the option of asking questions over the phone - it would have put our minds at rest about things like the ferry transfer etc...
Cheung Ching Kwan, Jania 2006-06-17 until 2006-06-19	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay A very ideatic resort for family. We are very happy & impressed with our bungalow with 2 bedrooms for 5 of us. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Good facilities like posch TV, sound system, fully set up mini bar & toiletries but NO HAIRDRYER!! Hotel staffs are very friendly with prompt service when we need helps. However, there re no staffs at the reception after 10pm, even we called the emergency number that shown at the reception, but no one answer the phone. Will visit again and look forward for improvement.	Very efficient. But not understand our original request on 15-17Jun cannot be confirm, as the resort was almost empty when we arrived on 17Jun.
Kardinaal 2006-05-11 until 2006-05-14	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay we stay for 3 nigth in the resort and it whas incradeble good, this is the most beautiful resort i evver see,verry nice staff , nothing is a problem for them,houses are verry beautiful,big tv whit great sound system. i been in sharaton for olmost 180 euro a nigth but not so nice like this,in pattaya the have olso a hotel i am sure i go to there olso next time,only the food whas verry expansive ,i am sure i go to this one when i vissit Koh Chang	great as usual, no problems at oll
Phillip Johnson 2006-02-26 until 2006-03-03	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay THE BEST We absoultely loved this place. At first we were concerned that we would be isolated, but we were so close to Bang Bao that we were copletely satisfied with our location far away from the major tourist areas on the north-west coast. Peaceful, beautiful and much more; close to many restaurants and getaway adventures, Nirvana Koh-Chang is as good as it gets. My wife and I thought that 5 days would be too long, but it was not long enough. The next time we go to Koh-Chang, we will stay at Nirvana for 10 days or more. The staff are all so polite and helpful, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and although things seem subdued, the options are endless. The rooms are perfect, bathrooms, etc. and the room service is beyond comparison. I just hope that nto too many people read this reeview and over-run this place as it is perfect the way it is. We would love to go back right now! If you are looking for the tourist destination where you are surrounded by tons of other tourists, look elsewhere (white sand beach). If you are looking for peace and tranquility as well as the oppurtunity to do anything else you please, Nirvana Koh-Chang is the best of the best. I love this place and will return. To Consider: The only way to get to Nirvana besides public/arranged transportation is a pre-arranged car (truck) from the Nirvana rsort. The driver we had both ways to and from the airport in Trat was very professional and delivered us before unyone else could could have dreamed, he drove so fast, especially on the small, mountainous, hairpi-curve-filled Koh chang roads that we were scared absolutely shitless on our ride. Good luck to any of you who use that method of transportation; it is fast and furious and will definately get your blood flowing. Overall, we just loved the whole experience and could not reccomend better accomodations on Koh-Chang!	Sawadee.com was great; no problems, but if you are booking from the USA, you need to wait a day for a responce.
Thor Hellenes 2006-02-06 until 2006-02-11	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay Great Hotel and great service. Just a bit boring this area, but if you really want to relax, this is the place! Rooms are fantastic, just like they are in Nirvana hotel in Jomtien Beach, Pattaya!	Always good service, no problem.
J. Fletcher 2005-12-23 until 2005-12-29	Nirvana Resort Koh Chang, Bang Bao Bay Nirvana is just that! The bungalows are large and very luxurious with huge beds, nice bathroom and are beautifully decorated. The staff was also really nice and helpful. The second pool was up the hill in the jungle and no one seemed to know it was there - nice and quiet. It seems that Nirvana is still being worked on, though, as projects were underway but no major contruction that would be bothersome to guests. Be sure to get a bungalow away from the generator.	No problems at all, but bookings should be at least partially refundable if ever there are changes to be made.

The facilities were superb, the surrounding island was beautiful and the resort staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly be back! Keep up the good work.	Very fast and handled very easily.
