If you are looking for something really nature… that fulfilled your life on your relaxing day with views surrounding Koh Muk. Kooh Mak Buri Hut Natual Resot gives you relaxation and impress along the natural relaxation. Colorful African style, different decorative design. Be fun and relax in friendly atmosphere., while seeing the beauty of view through the sea and the island. The beauty of nature mixed with the beautiful spiral waves. The resort is located on Banlang bay, the front side is far from Koh Kood 5 kms. And you van take the boat to Klong Chao waterfall on Koh Koon, it takes 45 minutes to get there. Koh Mak is located between Koh Chang and Koh Kood. The land on the island is full of coconut forest and rubber tree plantation. There is 27 kms road around the island. It`s suitable for walking and cycling. Koh Mak is the nearest island from Koh Chang and it takes 50 minutes to get there by speed boat and 2 hours by normal boat

werry nice hotel and a verry good family feling. Good service and verry relaxing atmosfer, verry good food a nice place to do nothing. The family took verry nice care of us and fix al they cood.

About the hotel:
Very friendly management and staff but very little English was spoken or understood! The resort is isolated - for 100 bahts each way the hotel will ferry you to another resort where there is a beach and some restarants. For 500 bahts we were given a tour of the island in the hotel pick-up whose chasis is entirely made of wood - probably one of the most photograghed vehicles in Thailand! Buri Hut has a newly built three tier infinity pool which is superb. The African Huts are basic and unfortunately have African style cleanliness, uncomfortable beds with worn out bottom sheets and a large beach towel as a top cover. Breafast wasn t included in the price -everthing on the menu is 100 bahts plus although tea and coffee is free. The food quality is very good and the chef appears to enjoy her own cooking! Unfortunately, all the time we were there, the tablecloths were not changed once and the chair cushions and backs were very grubby making us think twice about sitting on them. Management is also under the impression that playing Jazz,reggae,hip-hop and rap music incessently both in the restaurant and at the pool bar is somehow sophisticated - What is wrong with Thai music?? - or even no music? It could be an idyllic place with very little effort.

Basic and clean rooms, but the stand out for us was the staff. They drove us anywhere we wanted at any time, everything was free for guests (push bike, snorkels, ect), and they bent over backwards to make sure we had a great time.

How to go from Leam ngop (Krommaluang Chumporn pier) to Koh Mak :

 By wooden boat to Ao Nid (Koh Mak) :

From Ao Nid (Koh Mak) at 8.00 and arriver at Leam ngop (Krommaluang Chumporn pier) at 11.00 (3 hours trip). The return ticket is 500 baht/person all the year.

By wooden boat :

From Ao Nid (Koh Mak) at 8.00 and arriver at Leam ngop (Krommaluang Chumporn pier) at 11.00 (3 hours trip). The return ticket is 500 baht/person all the year.

By speed boat :

From Leam ngop (Krommaluang Chumporn pier), Trat. BY SPEED BOAT Depart at 11.00 and arriver at Ao Nid pier (Koh Mak) at 12.00. The return ticket is 900 baht/person. Everyday since November until April.

By Koh Mak Express :

From Leam ngop (Krommaluang Chumporn pier), Trat.  Depart at 14.00 and arriver at Leam ngop (Krommaluang Chumporn pier) at 15.30. The return ticket is 800 baht/person. (1 hours and a half trip) since November until April every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and special holiday.

Kooh Mak Buri Hut Resort is located on Banlang bay, the front side is far from Koh Kood 5 km.. And you van take the boat to Klong Chao waterfall on Koh Koon, it takes 45 minutes to get there. Koh Mak is located between Koh Chang and Koh Kood. The land on the island is full of coconut forest and rubber tree plantation. There is 27 km. road around the island.
