- Snorkeling & Diving -

Explore an underwater paradise around Koh Chang and nearby islands. The west and southern areas of the islands are best for snorkeling and scuba diving. Beautiful beaches, untamed coral reefs, and myriad marine life are the main draw. Sightseeing and snorkeling boat trips to admired sites like Koh Wai, Koh Rung, and other small islands are widely available. The trip is normally inclusive of food, drinks, and full diving equipments. Some diving centers provide diving lessons with professional dive masters and PADI certificate.

- Water sports -

Enjoy various exciting and fun water sports featuring kayaking, surfing, skiing, and jet-skiing. Kayaking from Koh Chang to Koh Mun Nork is safe, challenging, and fun until the sun sets. Sailing along the canals, admiring the fireflies, will make a romantic trip.

- Bush walking and hiking -

Bush walking is another interesting recreation on Koh Chang. There are some beautiful routes to discover pure nature rainforest, clear water, and stunning views along the way. Select your desired route e.g. Klong Plu Waterfall, Than Mayom Waterfall, and Kiri Petch Waterfall for short-distance walks. Take a long-distance hike up mount Salak Petch is even more challenging. However, you need an official leader while walking in the National Park.

- Cycling -

One of the most challenging activities on Koh Chang is cycling along the rough, mostly level and sloping roads such as Dan Mai – Klong Son, and Kai Bae – Bang Bao routes. Cycling is a good exercise while you can enjoy spectacular views of seashores, the lush greenery of rainforests and mountains.

- Elephant trekking -

Elephant trekking is such an amazing activity on Koh Chang. You will love the scenery of lush jungle, and enjoy the elephant performance. There are two elephant camp operators. The Chang Chutiman Tour operates elephant trekking near Klong Prao area. Another one is Ban Kwan Chang, which is supported by the Asian Elephant Foundation. The camp is situated at Klong Son where you can trek into the northern tropical rainforests.

- Thai massage & spa -

For visitors seeking time for rest, experience and real relaxation then try the well-known traditional Thai massage and spa treatments.

- By Car -
  • Motorway Route : Staring from Srinakarin Road, access to motorway route until you reach the second toll-fee station, heading for Ban Bueng, Klaeng, then Chanthaburi, and finally Trat.

  • Bangna - Trat Route : This is another simply way accessing to Trat. Taking Highway no.365 directly from Bangna to Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Here you will see a Khao Saming District Police check point.

  • About 2 kilometres past this point, turn right to Laem Ngob at the Ban Saen Toong intersection (opposite a P.T.T Petrol Station).

  • Follow the road for 24 kilometres to the 11 kilometres milestone, which is just before Laem Ngob.

  • Here turn right into a small road leading the Naval base.

  • The first ferry terminal which you will see is called Koh Chang Ferry. Here there is a regular car ferry service to the Ao Sapporat Pier.

  • The next ferry terminal which is about 200 - 300 metres further on is called Ferry Koh Chang. Here you can also find a regular car ferry service to the Ao Sapporot Pier. The service over laps with Koh Chang Ferry, so the most convenient will depend on the time that you arrive.

When you came off the ferry at the island, turn right and head for Klong Prao Beach. GajaPuri Resort and Spa is 17 kilometres from the Ao Sapparod Pier. The resort is located on Kai Bae Beach.

Once you arriving Trat, convenience ferry services are available at the main wharfs for visitors and cars to go to Koh Chang.
 

- By Air -

  • Bangkok Airways flies twice daily from Bangkok to Trat. It should take about 50 minutes time. From airport, easily take minibus or van service to Koh Chang.

- By Air-conditioned bus -

  • Air-con buses leave from Ekkamai Station which located on Sukhumvit Road to Trat everyday. From Trat burs terminal, simply take a cab or minibus to ferry pier.

Remark: Every route you have to take the Ferry from the pier depart every hour to Koh Chang. The trip runs only 30 minutes.

  • Pier (Ao Thammachat) to Koh Chang (Ao Sapparos) Every hour from 7am - 7pm
