About the hotel: Large room, but quite shabby, badly in need of a re-furb, felt like a 70 s throwback. Food was absoluely appalling on the roof terrace, would never eat here again. Breakfast was also pretty poor, a place to stay for the convenient location for a single night, not longer and certainly to be avoided for food, it s a shame to eat bad Thai food in Bangkok

About the hotel: When we arrived at the Unico Grande and got up to the room, it smelled heavely of smoke, when we had booked a non smoking room. After notifing the staff, we got to change to another room, with promise of it to be a no-smoking room. Everything seemed OK, the room looked good and smelled as it just had been cleaned. Within a few minutes, when the smell of the cleaning faded, it began smelling like smoke again. And it smell became more and more intense. We also found an ashtray and matches in a drawer just by the door.
We went down to the reception and asked why we yet again had gotten a smoking room when we had booked a no-smoking room in the first place. We got no real answer, just a promise that they would have a nice no-smoking room ready for us in a few hours.
Upon returning to the hotel about 2 hours later, we got a bigger room on another floor than the two earlier. But as soon as we opened the door, we at once could smell that someone had been smoking in this room also. The room was, as promised, just cleaned before we got the key to it. We went down to the reception again to make a third complaint. We were then directed to speak to the manager about our situation. He wondered what was wrong this time. We told him that we had gotten smoking rooms three times. He answered that it was one of their best rooms and that it had been cleaned. We asked if they had no-smoking rooms. He then said that he would cancel our vouchers for our stay.
So we would like to inform other guests that they acctually not have any real no-smoking rooms.

About the hotel: Mycket centralt,10-15 min med tuktuk till dom stora varuhusen.Bra pool på taket,schysst gym avd.Frukost ok,trevlig personal.Rummet var bra men en otrevlig balkong,hönsnät eller väldigt lågt räcke(vi låg högst upp).

Room was disgusting and smelly! Stale smell and everything was just generally run down. Saying that the staff on reception were really nice and polite but couldn t offer another room for me so I checked out and went to Sacha s Hotel Uno which I got for exactly the same rate and the hotel is a million times better.
About the reservation service: Booking service was fine although maybe they should actually check out the hotels before allowing pictures on the website. Unico looks like a lovely hotel online but the truth is its a run down rotting hotel.
About the hotel: I have stayed here for years, but it is now getting a little run down, at least the cheap rooms. Breakfast is always the same old thing and a little tired.
Overall, its good value for the money and its a good location.

About the hotel: The only problem I have with this hotel is its Internet setup. Really pretty absurd in this day to have to trek down to the lobby for access, and even after you ve done that, it s a charge! We stayed in a suite and liked the setup a lot. Since these suites have been refurbished, everything was working and new. Completely separate bedroom with a door. Off the bedroom down a short hall was the bathroom with separate shower stall from the shower-tub. There s another powder room off the entrance. It has a kitchen, a carry over from its condo days, but no cooking utensils. Full size fridge. The management needs to get wifi setup, because the lack of useable Internet access is a deterrent to me staying again. BTW, their in-room brochure states free internet access in rooms. Yeah, right.
About the hotel: Very good staff in the lobby and restaurant. They were very friendly to our children and us!
The guy in the reception that helped us to book tours was great, very good contacts and reasonable prices.
