The Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, is a luxury hotel in the central Silom district of the city. The design and appointments express the welcoming warmth and richness of Thai culture throughout the hotel, from traditional teak dining pavilions to the most up-to-date room features.

The hotel has a total of 799 rooms including 52 suites in two wings, Shangri-La and Krungthep, and is adjacent to the Saphan Taksin station of the Sky train, Bangkok's elevated metro system.

With a commitment to provide superior facilities, the hotel is currently upgrading the Shangri-La Wings swimming pool and restaurants.  The pool and Thai restaurant re-open in November, followed by the Cafe in December.  The hotel continues to operate as usual with uninterrupted service. Disruptions are kept to a minimum, and alternative facilities are available.

The Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok comprises 799 luxurious guestrooms in two adjacent towers, the Shangri-La Wing and the Krungthep Wing. All rooms have river or city views, and are decorated with classic Thai touches, including silk and teak finishing.

Rooms in the exclusive Krungthep Wing offer garden balconies overlooking a private pool and the Chao Phraya river.

Executive River View Room

Distinctively decorated with the bed turned at an angle to face the window, Executive River Rooms include a charming combination of carpeted and wood floorings.

•  The room has rich wood flooring at the entrance, leading to a carpeted sleeping area.
•  Rooms feature in-house movie channels, satellite television, an executive writing desk, broadband Internet access, and two outside phone lines.
•  The marble-floored bathroom contains plush bathrobes, slippers, premium Shangri-La toiletries, and a separate, glass-enclosed shower.
•  The room dimensions are 34 sq.m./365 sq ft.

• The room offers a private balcony to enjoy memorable views of the river.
• Rooms are wired with digital cabling and ample power points, complimentary broadband Internet access, players and computer-to-TV connectivity.
