Pawel Jezowski 2009-01-18	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala Very good atmosphere, v. good management. Nice swimming pool and bar. Disadvantages are: Poor food, lack of good beach and old PCs, badly configured and without headphones and mic for skype. Anyway this please is worth to be recommended.	OK.

Falkenburg 2009-01-04	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala Leuk hotel op loop afstand van het centrum van Thongsala. Service is niet geweldig zeker het restaurant niet, eten is niet geweldig hebben wij veel buiten de deur gedaan. De beach bar gaat soms te vroeg dicht. Auto huren was geen succes auto ging naar een halve dag kapot en kregen geen geld terug, slechte service wat dat betreft. Kamers worden alleen op verzoek schoon gemaakt vind ik niet kunnen voor dat bedrag.	expensive for the kwaliti
Esha Nehru 2008-12-26	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala Grand Sea Resort is one of the best places you could stay at for your vacations. Having said that, it is important to know that it is about 10 kms (20 min ride by a two wheeler) from the Haad Rin beach which is the most lively beach of the island. Tha manager of the resort - Duncan - is a very very nice guy who made our stay at Grand Sea even more memorable. The hotel has one of the best views in the island specially if you have the sea facing bungalow. Would stay there again if visit the place.	Very efficient.
2008-09-16	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala Very expensive for what it offers compared to other resorts on Phangang! Were there for 4 nights with no clean towels or making of beds. Beach is very shallow and not great for swimming. One good thing is that it is within walking distance to the Mason s Arms, a british style pub.
Rosmah Sukaima 2008-05-20 until 2008-05-23	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala GRAND SEA RESORT KOH PHANGAN The room is small but nice & clean.Bathroom no problem,quite big(cold/hot shower)towel smells gd.Restaurant very thai,gd for relaxing.Own beach,if high tide it ll be very nice to swim.The bar is gd.Facing the sea.The staffs very friendly.The Boss & manager Duncan,miss u guys.They are really helpful,friendly & great.If u choose to stay here,dun worry,just ask Duncan,everythg goin fine.I recommend this resort to you guys/gals out there.Stay here like a family..	no problem at all
Emma Adlercreutz 2008-03-22 until 2008-03-27	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala The rooms were nice and comfortable. Duncan, the manager was very helpful and a great guy. The resturant had the least serviceminded staff I ever came across in Thailand! Can´t recommend it to anyone. Especially the older man was very aggressive and unfriendly toward our family. However there were quite a few restaurants along the beach, one just next door so choose them instead!	It worked ok

Its located about a 10 minute walk from Thong Sala town and about a 15 minute taxi ride to Haad Rin. The pool, staff, restaurant and bar were all great. We stayed in a superior room for 1200 baht and it was great value for money. The only qualm I had was that there was building going on while we there and it was sometimes noisy but overall thins didnt really matter as everything else was so good. Definately recommend.

Jennie Tillaeus 2008-03-01 until 2008-03-06	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala A wonderful resort nice bungalow, and the garden. The pool is just a few m from the sea and next to the resturant. They serv god food, the english food is best, thai food could be better. The maneger is lovely and very helpful. It takes about 20 minuts to walk to the city. We recomend it.	When we arrived they had no booking for us. But luckely the hade a room. So no problem for us.
ashton beauchamp 2008-02-19 until 2008-02-24	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala we weren t sure when booking this place what it would be like as there are not many reviews but when we got there we were greeted by the most friendliest helpful manager. he made our stay ten times better and the actually setup of the place is good, restaurant and bar are handy, pool is good. style of the place is great and rooms are clean. so all in all loved this place especially the manager duncan. if i came back to this island i would stay here. the only downfall is that there isn t really a beach that you can walk onto out the back at all there s just water but that didn t bother us too much.	booking service was easy as, no dramas
Glyn Alexander 2008-02-12 until 2008-02-20	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala I have been visiting the Island now for 7 years and this has to be the best place i ve stayed. The resort its self is a very lovely place and is very pleasant on the eye. The rooms are fantastic with lots of room and very clean with lovely hot showers and all have air con and satelite t.v. The swimming pool was also fantastic and it s a great bonus to have it there as many resorts advertise they have a pool but do not have a pool as good as the one at Grand Sea. Duncan was fantastic and could not do enough for me and my family. He was always available to help and also was willing to organise anything that we needed. He was a great hit with my daughter as he took her out kayaking and also out into town when ever he went in. I would recomend staying there to anyone who is visiting the island as it a great place for families and Duncan is a fantastic host. When i return to the island i will have no hesitation to return to Grand Sea and stay.	Reply was very prompt.

catherine 2007-12-28 until 2008-01-02	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala Well what can I say about Duncan that runs the place? Absolutely great guy! He really made our stay there & sorted out the teething problems we had on arrival. Firstly...Building work - Its everywhere in Thailand & no escaping it! There was building work behind our room which we d paid 3000baht a night for (V.expensive because of full moon party & season & we thought well overpriced) & this did not include breakfast either. We had a Ant issue in our bathroom & also some very loud cockerils that randomly screached throughout the night & ruined any chance you had of a decent nights sleep! This though as I mentioned is to be expected everywhere and the rooms themselves are simple but ok. They look great from the outside and the pools lovely aswell as the view of the bay. Cant walk along the beach though as the tide is in early & most of the day & I would advise strongly to hire jeeps whilst here. Koh Phangnan is certainly party town & if you want to be near the action, Haad rins the place for you but be warned, the roads to Haad Rin are mad & not for the faint hearted! I can however reccomend a great bar not far from Grand sea called The Amsterdamn bar If Amsterdamn life is for you & you enjoy taking some time out to Chill Mon then get yourself there, We had a great night there & even though it felt like a thousand steps to get there, The ambient & chilled night we had was well worth it!	No Probelmo! (Apart from time it took to get a response on availabilty!) It would be great if you could enquire to a few at a time & not just one.
John Saller 2007-10-26 until 2007-10-28	Grand Sea Resort, Thong Sala The resort like most of Koh Phangan and Koh Samui was affected by the heavy rain, flooding in late October. The staff were courteous and helpful but my Bungalow had at least 4 cockroaches and a couple of spiders. I suspect that this was mainly due to do the heavy rain. My friends had no problems with their two rooms. The resort is situated on the beach and the pool is really nice. In better weather this place would have been awesome.	The Sawadee booking service was very easy and helpful.

Loved my stay at the Grand Sea Resort and Duncan was so so helpful in telling us where to go and what to do on the island. Also own pool by the beach with lazy hammocks and all for a very good price. Definatley would saty here again when I come back to the island and thanks to Duncan for our leaving presents! AWESOME PLACE AND AWESOME PEOPLE!
