The Garden Lodge is situated on the idyllic beach of Ban Tai wish is conveniently located between Tong Sala and Haad Rin, near the fishing village of Ban Tai on the serene south-east coast of Koh Phangan. Our Bungalows and Villas are building in unique styles and will give you a sensation of wellbeing in a totally private atmosphere, making it easy to rest and relax under palm trees or on the swimming pool inside of our quit and beautiful tropical garden.
All our well-maintained and spacious 5 Bungalows and 2 Villas come with air-con and European-style Bathroom with cold and hot water as standard. The décor inside the rooms is pleasing with soft cotton sheets and a range of furniture. Each room has a private terrace with deckchairs. Every room has full services which Mini Bar, Cable TV and DVD Player, Lounge Area and coffee or tea making facilities.

About the hotel:
My friends and I stayed in the Garden Villa, a 2 bedroom villa, with kitchen, adjoining dining room and bathroom. It suited our need because of the 2 bedrooms and was the main reason we stayed at the Garden lodge. All the great prior reviews sealed it for us. It was great having the comforts of 24 hour wi fi, a/c, decent bath/shower, tv/dvd and comfortable beds. The owner and his staff of one were helpful and friendly. Its just a short stroll to near-by bars/restaurants as well as the beach (just a minute away). The beach has hammocks, a shower, bar/restaurant and despite what I had heard it is possible to swim here even if it can be a bit shallow (down to knee high for us at times) when the tide is out. The Garden Lodge would be perfect for people seeking peace & quiet but we were left disappointed by this very aspect of it. Haad Rinn is definitely a more happening place and the beach is more lovely and places like Haad Yuan have that quiet vibe that the Garden Lodge enjoys while being more beautiful to boot. One complaint is that some guy was working on cutting foilage around the hotel from morning to afternoon everyday, which was quite a nuisance but then again I guess these things have to be done sometime and I didn t complain so naturally I can t expect there to have been anything done about it. All in all, our stay at the Garden Lodge was a pleasant one. Koh Phangan is beautiful. I will definitely be back but ill stay elsewhere next time.

I spend 2 weeks in Thailand. Staying 2 the garden lodge pushed my stay bejond expectation. perfect to relax. enjoy coastal living with all the luxury. Definatly my recomendation.

We stayed at the Garden Lodge for 2 weeks and l must say it was a beautiful place to stay, very peaceful and quiet if thats what you are looking for. The rooms are very comfartable, clean and spacious with a lovely outside balcony overlooking beautiful well kept gardens and pool. Frank the owner was very helpful and a nice guy. We stayed at The Garden Lodge for 2 weeks and it was a wonderful stay. It had beautiful garden surroundings with a pool. It was rigt next to Ban Tao beach which was also a beautiful beach with hammocks. Frank the owner was very helpful, we hope to return again next year. what a great place, i have travelled s/e asia alot, this was just a 2 week holiday in thailand, my girlfriend and i spent 10 days at the garden lodge and it was lovely. Frank is a good lad, helpful and rents motorbikes, the superior room is brilliant, to may reviews on this site are by people with no concept of thailand at all. for £30 a night you cant go wrong, huge bed, hot shower, good sports channels and films on the sky tv, sliding doors just 10 foot froom the pool,good air con and comfy seats, really private, no worries about peopke at the pool, even when full there is only 7 rooms and hey it s pang nang..everyones always out and about doing stuff, i fully recomend rzzing to had rin and back. if i find myself back on pang nang, i ll stay there again.. really nice..perfect for getting away from Chavs.

Lovely place to stay. Really near a stunning beach with a great bar for food or a quite drink. The guy running it is very nice & helpful & we ended up staying an extra night! It was great being able to rent his notebote for the night to book flights etc We stayed for the full moon party & it was close enough by taxi but far enough away so we had peace & quite too.

Garden Lodge is a very beautiful and private resort, it s very clean and the staff is very helpful and so is the owner himself - everything is first class. We stayed at the villa which had everything you needed. The pool area and garden is very beautiful. The free coffee, tea and water was very much appreciated by us. We really recommend Garden Lodge as a first class place to stay in Koh Phangan.

About the hotel:
Stayed at the Garden Villa. It was huge enough for the 4 of us. The Garden Logde is a very private setting and as there are only five (or six) villas in the whole resort, we were ensured with full privacy and safety. Even though there is no restaurant or breakfast, fear not, coz we found everything and anything at the nearby resorts and around Ban Tai. By the way, the kitchen is complete with microwave and toaster ovens. Full fridge and freezer to store all the booze!!!!! This is very hard to find in hotel rooms. Frank, the owner, personally took care of our personal needs. Really saves us the trouble of finding motorcycles, food, advice etc. The Garden Logde is a place to stay in Phangan as it made our vacation truly felt like home-stay. Thank you so much, Frank.

About the hotel:
We originally booked a few nights here as we traveled to Koh Phangan for the half moon party which is situated closer to Baan Tai than Haad Rin. When we arrived to Koh Samui we discovered that the date of the half moon had been changed. This meant we had to amend our booking at the Garden Lodge and could only stay for one night. I emailed Frank, the owner, and he was very prompt in responding. I was able to amend the booking but had to pay a large cancellation fee for the nights that we did not stay. We were fine with this as the cancellation fees are stated when you book. The taxi driver dropped us at the top of the driveway and we needed to carry our luggage all the way down till we reached the lodge. We stayed in the Thai Garden Villa. This Villa was fantastic, there were a few ants in the bathroom but apart from that the kitchen has great facilities and there is plenty of space to move around. This place is perfect for families. Next time we travel to Koh Phangan we will stay in Haad Rin though, Baan Thai was a little to quiet for us. If your coming to Phangan to party I wouldn t bother with the half moon party unless you plan on attending the full moon party aswell. Phangan Beach resort is right next door. There a cute little bungalows here and there is also a great restaurant and bar. The beach is quite close by, beware of coral in the shallow water though. We were very happy with our stay here but suggest this place for couples, families and those who are after a more secluded beach.

The long beach at Ao Ban Tai has long been a favorite of many returning visitors to Koh Phangan and is part of the long unbroken stretch of white sand beach that runs from Ban Kai right the way up to Tong Sala.

Most of the land along the coastline has been farmed as coconut plantation and the area takes on a dreamy desert island feel with palms leaning in to the calm emerald sea. Ao Ban Tai has a broad beach that is protected from the high seas by the rich coral reef and harmless marine life and is a great place to go snorkeling.
