Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Nice Hotel would visit there again. Everything clean and staff very friendly. Nice food. Nice pools. Close to Full moon parties but far away enough to get some sleep. |
Excellent, quick relliable service |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach We stayed here for three nights - our second stay at this hotel following a trip three years earlier. From what we ve seen it is definitely one of the better resorts in Haad Rin - the staff are good, the pool is clean, and most importantly the location is excellent!! On the good side the two pools are lovely - one is located centrally in the hotel and is very quiet - the other is directly on to the beach and has a very good pool bar including a towel service. It is also an amazing place to view SUNSET, which is spectacular!! Our allocated room was on the ground floor, but as mosquitoes love me, we asked for an upper floor and were accommodated without any hassle. The tourist desk also offers a moped hire service and for 200 baht per day (about £4) the bike we hired was in perfect condition and was brilliant for travelling around the island - but be VERY careful - the roads aren t great (bit s missing, big hills getting out from Haad Rin to Thong Sala) and further north east are basically clay, but if you know what you are doing a great way to get around. On the negative, the resort appears to have nothing done in the last three years - I d describe it as a posh way of roughing it - the rooms are good in size, but could do with a bit of a freshen up and the sunloungers have definitely seen better days... Great if you want to party (close enough to walk to SUNRISE), but also far enough out that you ll get a decent nights sleep. |
As always excellent. |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach We stayed at Phanganburi in a Corner Suite for a week. All in all the rooms are overpriced. For the same price you will get a much nicer room on Samui. It is a typical 2-star resort. Our suite, room 3217, was ocean facing but had mostly tree-view. The room was ok, but the bathroom was not. Housekeeping was slow and not very good. There are two quit nice pools, but the sun bed mattresses were dreadful (200 years old and mouldy!). The beach had not the best sand and the seafloor is a bit muddy. |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Most worthwhile just for the pool that overlooks the beach. I think the best resort by far in the Had Rin area. Beautiful deluxe cottages with everything you could possibly want except a bath tub. Staff are friendly, helpful and very polite. Very close to all the action but far enough away to escape. Highly recommend the Phanganburi! |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Good location to the full moon party beach and centre. Watching the sunset by the swimming pool is beautiful as it looks onto the sea. We stayed in a deluxe room which was spacious and clean. We had no problems with towels/sheets. Massage and other beauty treatments were good. The restaurant is really disappointing! The restaurant is the pool bar and for the price we were paying per night in Thailand we expected a little more. The food is not great and after one lunch we didn t venture back. Breakfast buffet is ok. However if going back to that area of the island we would stay here as it is nice and close to centre but away from the noise. Instead of going to Tong Sala to get the boat back to Koh Samui, there is a pier close to the hotel with boats that go also. The boats there are 5mins more in duration. Don t bother with a pick up service, there are plenty of taxis that you can take from tong sala. The pick up is overpriced. |
easy and quick |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Hotel grounds and pools were excellent, some of the staff especially the desk manager was very rude and unhelpful-you would expect fresh towels every day especially when it was the most expensive hotel we stayed in! Noi fresh towels 4days out of five, no water daily, internet in rooms did not work, no hairdryer and as it was monsoon season, when you need umbrellas-they were only in some rooms because some were broken !! All these were staed to be part of the stay here! When we asked for these things the desk manager said he would get them, but do you think we saw anything! NO! Beautiful hotel but needs to keep on track of how it is run! |
Booking service website was excellent! |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Absolutely perfect. Fabulous location, beautiful rooms and pools! About a 5 min walk to the full moon party beach so quiet enough to get some sleep when the time comes. Right on sunset beach so stunning to watch the sunset as you have a drink by the pool. Definately reccommend it. |
Very quick and easy...will use again. |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach This resort wasn t too bad. It had a preety nice view and was somewhat quiet while I was staying there. The price was a little much, but overall a decent experience. I give this place a 6 out of a possible 10. |
wonderful! |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach the hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly. close to walk to the full moon party. we had a beachfront bungalow (01a), very spacious and comfortable, tour desk was excellent. will stay there again this new years. highly recomend!!!! |

Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach We booked a beachfront bungalow which I suggest is the way to go on this resort. The rooms were fairly comfortable.I cannot speak highly enough of the ladies at the massage salon who were naturally friendly and warm. However, this resort needs a major face-lift as the facilities are run down including the restaurant area so dont expect great food. Breakfast was very disappointing. There is also no pool bar which also disadvantages this resort. |
First time user. I found it simple and efficient. |
| Anne K. Nissen 2007-08-08 until 2007-08-13 |
Phanganburi Resort & Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Very nice hotel situated at a convenient distance from party related noise at night. The surroundings, however, are not particularly attractive. The area is extremely dirty (they burn garbage along the side of the street) and it is evident that it is mainly aimed at attracting backpackers. BUT - the hotel was fine, the room was clean and the pool area great. The food is not excellent, but very cheap and actually much better at the hotel than in the city centre. |
Everything went smoothly |
| Ronald Wyman 2007-06-26 until 2007-07-01 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The hotel was lovely, very nice rooms but a little small. Both pools were immaculate. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had problems with the AC on 4 occassions which led us to leave 5 days early. The engineer each time came out and fixed the AC one time it was at 3 AM !!!! not what we wanted to deal with on a vacation. The beach is awful if you want to call it a beach !! No ocean swimming or it can be extremely hazardous due to the very rocky conditions. I will return to the Phanganburi Resort for a sedentary vacation for sure. The FULL MOON party was absolutely outrageous !!!!! |
I have used SAWADEE.COM about 12 times before. As always, SAWADEE.COM handled everything perfectly even our early departure. One thing for sure Booking with SAWADEE.COM is the best way to handle reservations in Thailand. Thanks, Once again. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Nice hotel with great pool area and very friendly staff. Bungalow was nice and clean, had a good location and a nice sea view. Excellent spa!! A bit far from downtown, and there is not much light on the roads when its dark. We could have wished it was a bit closer, then the hotel had been perfect. |
Excellent service. Nice and easy to work with. I m sure I will use it again next time :o) |
| Tony vance 2007-04-30 until 2007-05-05 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach i liked the hotel. the staff was very friendly and spoke different languages which made it easy to communicate. they had continuous taxi(some free) stopping at hotel to bring guest to beach. it was very clean and for the price worth it. i would not reccommend getting any further from the haad rin beach than phanganburi. this is about as far away as you can get before it is a horrible hassle. some place around the island, i would not stay at for free. getting taxi s will cost a lot because you will frequently be going back and forth from the beach. |
booking was easy and i loved it, i booked the rest of my trip through sawadee and would will probably use again next trip.....oh yeah sawadee means hello in thai...i think |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Nice resort in a good location right near the Haad Rin beach where the full moon party is. The restaurant was good, staff friendly and the pool is nice. Only issues were that the beach that the hotel is on, is fairly average and there are a million staff who always made noise in the morning and woke me up. There was a much nicer spot on the other side (North?) of the island where there is a cove, with a nice semi-surf beach and better settings. A lot of the Germans stay there. Highly recommend getting a bike and going round the island, some great views! |
No problem |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Accomodation was a little beyond our budget, but was an excellent place to chill out for a few days in comparative luxury. Only complaint would be the showers, The most drought affected parts of Australia would use more water. |
no complaints. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The Phanganburi Resort is a great hotel in a fantastic location, definitely the best hotel to stay in near Haad Rin. It is located on the quieter sunset beach {Haad Rin Nai}with two pools, but only 5-10 mins walk away from all the action - all the fun, but none of the noise. Breakfast has improved from last year, the staff are more organised. All the staff were friendly, spoke good English, + very helpful. The rooms are clean + nicely decorated, they have all you need -mini bar, air conditioning, hot water, + TV. Free pick up from Haad Rin pier was great -just ring them the night before to arrange. Great place if your after a bit of comfort, but want GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY |
great as ever |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Very good location. one of the best hotels at Hat Rin. The staff do not speak very good english so it is hard to communicate with them at times. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! They say its not the place but the people who makes something good. In Phangan Buri s case they are both excellent. The surroundings are as nice as you will find on koh phangan and the staff were excellent!!! in particular Zo and Steve who are waiters in the bar! The only real issue we had was with airport transfers as the girl at reception forgot to send someone but after i called them they had someone meet us at haad rin pier. I chose Phangan buri on the recommendations of two friends who recently stayed there and i was not dissapointed!!!! Say hi to Zo and steve for me!!!! |
Good and easy however, wether it was sawadee s fault or the hotel, we did not have a transfer meet us at the airport as requested. But apart from that they give me a good vibe and made me feel secure with my service. I have also booked 2 other hotels with them. |
| mueller emanuel 2007-01-08 until 2007-01-12 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach actually quite a nice hotel. nevertheless, to expensive for what you get. we stayed for 4 days, no cleaning in this 4 days, only new towels and made the bed. the kitchen is poor for thai-standard, but service is friendly. price for service and the rooms is just too expensive. |
booking with sawadee very easy and good! |
| Amanda Berry 2006-11-30 until 2006-12-10 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The Phangan Buri Resort and Spa was excellent, the rooms were lovely and clean and the staff were really friendly! The hotel is situated on Haad Rin Nai, which meant we were lucky enough to have beautiful sunsets every evening with a much more secluded and quiet beach. We were however there for the full moon party and the hotel is close enough to either walk to the centre of Haad Rin or catch a taxi for 30 baht each. Would definitely recommend this resort! |
Sawadee.com are always an excellent and reliable source for making travel arrangements. Whenever I travel to Thailand I always use Sawadee.com for any hotel bookings I require. |
| Garth Turnbull 2006-10-23 until 2006-10-27 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach A very nice resort, although at the time we stayed there the front pool was out of order so we had to make do with the pool at the back of the resort. Staff were not overly friendly and the included breakfast was nothing special though overall very good value for money. A reasonable, 10 minute, walk from Haad Rin beach makes it close enough to the action but also quiet enough to relax. I would certainly consider staying here again. |
Prompt, safe and simple. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach very nice resort, we had the beachfront bungalow which was actually -though the cheapest- probably the one with the best view!!! and with an own terrase... they have 2 pools, one which is great and good to use instead of sea which is very shallow... and not good for swimming at all... no snorkeling either! breakfast-buffet was delicous.. had nice pancakes and eggs(all stiles) if you tell sawadee they will ask resort to pick you up from Had Rin pier free of charge.. when we arrived there was nobody cause they were so busy.. we just took a tuk tuk and the hotel -receptionist gave us back the money .. VERY OK!!! we could have actually walked as well, as it was not too far!! which is convenient for the evenings... as you can walk into the lively city very nice!!! |
as always very good service!!!! |
| Toby brown 2006-09-05 until 2006-09-12 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach We took an exclusive room for one week in the run up to the full moon party. Our room was situated on the beach next the main swimming pool. The room was large, well designed and airy, with a pleasant veranda to boot. It could get loud during the day, but never unpleasantly so and not once did we have trouble sleeping. Ideally located for Haad Rin there are bars in the hostel next door and all the facilities were great. Only reservations were the plentiful cockroaches in the bathroom – they hid in the shower rail - didn t bother me but my girlfriend wasn t over the moon. Also they didn t clean the room much. Oh and while the fruit juices/shakes were great, the food wasn t as good as elsewhere. Overall glorious looking place where you can have a great time and really handy if you’re doing the full moon thing but want a bit of luxury. |
Impeccable |
| Ilona Baas 2006-09-03 until 2006-09-09 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Best thing of this resort is the location, only 10 min. walk from Had Rin town and the beautiful pools. The bungalows were nice but for the price we had paid we d expected a little bit more comfort. Beach is not good for swimming but Had Rin has a beautiful beach and is pefect for swimming. Staff is very nice, relaxed, just like the whole island is! Would recommend it! Ilona from Holland |
Perfect as always |
| Peter Josefsson 2006-08-22 until 2006-08-25 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach We stayed in a beachfront bungalow, that was placed as close to the beach as possible. The best things with the hotel were the poolareas (really nice) and the location (Nice and quiet with walking distance to all the action in Haad Rin). The room was sterile and boring, with a 80 s feeling of the colour settings. Probably the most uninspiring restaurant we have seen in Thailand. We will not stay here again. FYI if you haven t been to Phangan before: The beach on this side of the peninsula is not good for swimming! |
Very efficient, will use again! |
| kjetil moslatten 2006-08-08 until 2006-08-13 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The resort is a nice one, with lovely pool areas, and friendly staff. But the shower water has an odd smell and the beach was rather bad. Breakfast was also just average. If your going to Koh Phangan go to panviman... |
|
| Anne (Irish) 2006-07-03 until 2006-07-07 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. It is so close to the main party area, only a 5min walk but at the same time is quiet so you can relax if your not up to partying as the hotel is on the opposite side of the party beaches! |
booking was easy and straight forward |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Rooms are quite small but the pool and restaurant are all lovely. Good location, though not much of a beach on this side of the island. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach this hotel was great, had 2 great pool and the service was great also, what i dont like its the internet service, have to pay so much and also slow. i wish the internet was good like in bangkok. expensive but cool |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach This seemed to be one of the only hotels on the isalnd and as such it s a good place to stay. Bad Points: Can get very crowded around the pool during full moon parties. Although on the beach the sand is very coarse so no one really uses it. Towels and bed linen are not changed every day. A little bit of refurbishment going on so there may be a bit of noise. When it s busy though it s the people who are more noisy! The spa is really basic so don t go expecting anything fancy. Good points: Perfectly adquate rooms with a balcony you can sit on. Internet access. Really friendly staff. Handy location, near main area. Much better than the bunglows as all rooms have air con. Great setting with great views. |
Easy enough to do! |
| Mike Poorman 2006-03-17 until 2006-03-20 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The bungalows are large but basic wth a large refridgerator. Their pickup service from the ferry pier was far better than high end resorts. Swiiming Pool was great although the temperature was more like bath water. Our only real complaint was that resort staff congregated and played a radio next to our bungalow at night keeping us awake. |
Absolutly no problems. |
| Collette McFawn 2006-02-14 until 2006-02-17 |
Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Pleasant place to stay. Room was huge if not a little short on ceiling height in some places. Beachfront pool was amazing as long as you were there early enough to reserve a seat. Staff were friendly for the most part. Only 2 criticisms: 1. Restaurant food was sooooo slow (approx 50 mins for a green veg curry). It s Thailand for goodness sake!!! 2. Water pressure in the shower was almost non existent. I would stay again but not during Full Moon Party - too expensive for the quality of accommodation. |
Excellent. Email confirmation was prompt and clear. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach This is our 1st visit to this accommodation + we weren’t disappointed. The Phanganburi Resort is a great hotel in a fantastic location, definitely the best hotel to stay in near Haad Rin. It is located on the quieter sunset beach {Haad Rin Nai}with two pools, but only 5-10 mins walk away from all the action - all the fun, none of the noise. Breakfast was poor, some mornings it was self service, which was OK; other times it was table service, which was frustratingly slow. The staff were friendly, spoke good English, + very helpful. The rooms are basic + clean, they have all you need -mini bar, air conditioning, hot water, + TV. Would stay there again, but cannot recommend the restaurant. Free pick up + drop off at Haad Rin pier was great - just ring them the night before to arrange. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY!!! |
Top class as always - quick respose to enquiries + confirmations. No problems with any bookings. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The hotel is in good shape. But you can t say the hotel is a spa hotel . cause the spa in the hotel area was so closed. Yes, you could have some massage but you can have massage in every hotel. And the staff in the restaurant was very lazy. But anyway the hotel is one of the better choice in this area. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Definately the best hotel to stay in near Haad Rin beach where the Full Moon Party is. It is very new with a pool and 5 mins away from all the action but far enough away not to hear all the noise. The staff were awful on reception as well as in the resturant. We waited 45 mins for our food to arrive and that was only because we asked where it was. Would stay there again but just would not use the resturant |
Excellent service, would use them again |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach nice hotel room but the bathroom is too small and we didn t have hot water, the personnel of the reception is very competent but the personnel at the restaurant is realy slow and many time they forget you, incredibale in thailande, 2 nice swiming pools. too expensive for the prestation they give...also very expensive new year meel for a poor buffet with not enought food for 50 euros and nothing to drink |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Lovely resort! All staff was friendly & accommodating to our needs. Far enough from town for peace & quiet - yet just a short walk in to town. The spa is wonderful! |
Easy! Thank you. |

Phanganburi Resort & Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Facilities and rooms are very nice, cleaning was however not to our satisfaction. Some days there were no cleaning at all. The restaurant was also a disapointment. Very long wait for meals and bad serivce, up to 40 minutes wait for a simple breakfast even though the restaurant was nearly empty. |
Exellent |

Phanganburi Resort And Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach The hotel was still under construction, as we had read from earlier reviews. They were supposed to have their grand new opening in june - but they had quite a lot left to do when we departed. I have a feeling this place will be a bit too crowded once the hotel-part is finished. Even if they re constructing another pool there won t be room for everybody to lay around the hotel, as there is no beach to lay on outside the hotel - way too much litter there! We stayed in the biggest bungalow on the resort, and this was quite expensive -over THB 4000 a night! The bungalow was really nice, but had a few flaws. For instance there were no bottle opener in the minibar, but only bottles of beer. There were no safety deposit box. It seemed like they hadn t thought things through before they put thisngs in the room. (or didn t put in) There were no hotel-information what so ever in the room. When I asked them about this, they looked at me as if i d gone crazy. The cleaning staff didn t do a really good job. It shouldn t have to be neccesary to run after them every day asking for more toiletpaper because we had run out! during the 7 nights we stayed there, they only refilled the minibar twice, and this wasn t because we didn t use it. And they had never heard about the use of water when cleaning the bathroom. The broom is excellent for cleaning......:-( I guess we wouldn t have been so disappointed about the place, hadn t it been for the staff aroud the pool-restaurant. But on the first night we were there they had set the standard. They we re quite lazy (so different from what the Thai s usually are like), and one of them in particular was so bad we did everything we could to avoid having him as our waitor! He couldn t get anything right when we ordered a meal, and this didn t only happen to us. And he was more interrested in playing pool with the guests than doing his job. Fortunately the orders were taken from other people in the staff as the week went by, and we got used to the Phanganburi culture. And by the time we left we had grown quite fond of a couple of them. They were qiute sweet. I guess part of their trouble comes from the fact that they are really close to Haad Rin. This makes most of the guests really young, around their twenties, and they enjoyed the laidback culture of this hotel. For us paying over THB 4000 per night we didn t get out moneys worth. To sum up the whole thing: Panganburi resort looks fairly nice on the outside, but the service doesn t live up to it. The only people I would recomend this hotel to are the ones that wants to go to Haad Rin to party, but who would like to sleep comfortably and in a quiet area. The hotel is OK to stay in for a couple of nights, but not a week. We regretted it so many times during our stay, that we had booked this hotel for as many nights as 7. It has to be said that the weather was quite rough while we stayed here, so we didn t go around the island much. But then it is so much more important that the hotel is good... |
The booking worked out perfectly. |

Phanganburi Resort And Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach We stayed in one of the newer (delux air con) cottages with a sea view - simple but very clean and well presented. The resort is currently being expanded and alot of work is going on - but you d never know from the pool or the cottages. The pool is amazing - right on the beach and beautifully designed. Resturant food great. Easy stroll along beach into Haad Rin - but sea comes right up to resort at high tide. I would thoroughly recommend the resort |
very simple to use and no problems |

Phanganburi Resort And Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach the resort had been doing construction work right next door, the place was fantastic otherwise with walking distance down the beech the the main market, service was great excipt we did not have our sheets or towls changed for the week that we stayed witch was a little strange for the money, but it is thailand and i loved every second i was there |

Phanganburi Resort And Health Spa, Haad Rin Nai Beach Really nice Resort. There was alot of building work going on in the resort, but it didnt affect the holiday in any way. Fantastic pool, the bungalows are really nice and the food is excellent. The beach unfortunatly isin t great, but with the pool we didn t mind. Great location - a stroll away from the town, its certainly one of the best places on the island and about the only one with a pool |
