We had a nice time at the hotel, but thought that the compulsory gala dinner was overpriced. We did enjoy the Thai dancing and the paper balloons though. Would have been perfect if the weather had cooperated!

We are very disappointed of this hotel - the breakfast was very poor, we had to order three times tea and coffee, there was a child who stuck her fingers in the food, the tablecloth was dirty and had holes in it, no hot water in the shower, the towels are dirty, the TV is not working well, no free internet (and the bar next door offers free WI-FI), there was an electricity breakdown for about 2 hours.. The price you have to pay is in no relation to the service of the hotel. Result - not recommendable at all.

Excellent location, beautiful quiet beach. Good selection of restaurants and bars. Hotel rooms are clean, showers are good, mosquito nets provided, safety deposit boxes in rooms. Will definately go back to this resort. Tip- buy beers from the local supermarket as they are expensive at hotel

fast- no problems.

Nice beach and surroundings. The rooms are also nice. But be aware of that all rooms have the same size. I.e. that when booking a family room (4 person) you do not get more space than when booking a double room! The restaurant is not good - but you find several other good restaurants at the beach.

Subpar on every level. The staff is snotty especially the owner, they re unwilling to assist in any way. We had asked for more beach umbrellas and were told that they had no more. So, a hotel with thirty some odd rooms has three umbrellas. Music is constantly playing and is usually too loud. I stupidly purchased a drink from the bar and at the time they didn t have change. I was assured when they had change I would be the first to know. Which never happened. Granted, I didn t approach them about the issue I wanted to see if they had any sort of pride in their work. They don t. I must say that one of the bartenders was a good guy, but he wasn t around that often. The first room we had was like that of a dorm in Russia in the mid-sixties. It smelled awful. The coloring was so bad it can be likened to that of cardbaord. It was headache inducing. The a.c. didn t even work. So natuarlly we expressed our discomfort and to our surprise we were given another room. The room was exactly the same as the previous except slight differences in the coloring and the a.c. worked. We wound up leaving two days early because the whole experience was so dreadful. That is not to say the beach is bad infact just the opposite. But music is always playing and any relaxation is impossible. Again, the beach is really nice just the resort if you d call it that is the pits. Don t be fooled by their claims to be a spa either. This couldn t be further from the truth. Not worth the money in the slighest, I wouldn t recomend this place to anyone. You re better off in the jungle.

Fine.

The bungalows are quite nice but very close together. The staff is nice and helpful. Price is a bit too high for this type of accomodation.

The beachfront house was very nice inside and the AC worked just fine. However, the restaurant s breakfast was really awful and, in case no one ever told you, instant coffee is offensive to most europeans and north americans (the majority of your clients). Please play more variety of music at the bar other than Tracy Chapman and Bob Marley. Kayaks were old and over-priced

Booking service was fine.

This resort is fairly newly built/renovated so everything was pretty clean. Deluxe garden bungalow was fantastic for the price and no noise at night. Staff all friendly too - contrary to some earlier reports. Sea was a bit choppy but great fun in the waves, and this part of koh panyang is always great for not very crowded beaches. Bit of a trek to get to 45mins over some pretty bumpy roads - but worth it to get away from it all! If you do stay here then please check out a local restaurant in the village called Again and Again - hilarious guy who runs it and he cooks some of the best thai food i have ever tasted! v.cheap too!

all ok

All good. Nong and the other staff were great. Bungalows were very good value and i prefer it that no-one comes in to clean which no-one did for the 5 days there. Sweeta as. Stayed in a cheapie at the back away from the noise of the bar next door (which wasn t too loud in any case) but still only a 1 minute walk to the pool and a 1.5 minute walk to the sea. Looking forward to going back next year. Cher.

No probs.

Relatively new resort right on the beach. The bay is beautiful and clean. No sunbeds, just white sand and clear water. I had a fan room at the back of the resort and was fine. Room was a good size with a large bathroom. Few luxeries but this is a place to totally forget about the modern world. A new restaurant is currently being built right on the beach front which might be a little noisy for bungalows close to the beach. Owners friendly and helpful.Boat trips. Food ok. I would stay here again.

Efficient and reliable. No problem. Print your e-mail deposit reciept.

Bare bones, but probably nicest on Thong Nai Pan Noi, after Panviman Resort. AC didn t work very well though, and the restaurant was under construction which was quite irritating. The people were nice though, and the beach magnificant!

No problems - all worked out well.

We booked 10 days via internet and we had to pay 5 days immediately via credit card (plus fee). When we arrived , the owners daughter was working as receptionist and demanded the complete money for the next five days. We were not absolutely sure whether, we want to stay here for the full 10 days and wanted to pay first next day. During discussion she mentioned, if we would not pay immediately completely, she would not reserved the bungalow for us. With our previous experience for Thailand, it was very strange for us, that she was setting us under pressure. We was tired after the long journey and we were not in the mood to discuss longer, and we was paying with a bad feeling. The main building was during our stay under construction, but there was no information on the booking WEB site, about the inconveniences. The bungalows were fairly well new, but not really sealed against mosquitos. For our child, a third bed was also not available, only a mattress on the floor, it became additional charged. Most of the evenings, suddenly the electric power was off. No light, no a/c and take a shower in the darkness with a torch, for somebody perhaps it is romantic ? The staff was indifferent to the complaints. The room was not cleaned during our stay. No fresh towels. We tried to book a ferry ticket to Ko Samui and a taxi to the ferry, but the owners daughter told us , booking is earliest one day before departure possible, we could not believe it, and really, we booked on the same day in Baan Panburi bungalows on the same beach and it was absolutely no problem and the service was very friendly. At the day when we were leaving, we had to carry our baggage to Baan Panburi, because the TAXI to the Ferry was starting from there. After six days we went to Ko Samui and how presumed we did not get back the money for the last four days. Even after an one hour discussion with the owners daughter. Also on our last day, when I paid the restaurant bill, she gave me too less money back. Then she talked with an other guest and ignores me ? My personnel opinion is, this Thai family is “greedy for money”. The beach itself is great and other accommodations on the beach are good and with friendly staff. Also the other restaurants are very good. Therefore our strongly recommendation: Don’t come to this accommodation, stay in another location on the beach.

Excellent !

Clean, newly-built concrete huts in a perfect location on Thong Nai Pan Noi. For 600 Bt/night it s a step up from the usual wooden shacks, with hot water in each room. Well suited for families as well with a small pool, and a spa/jacuzzi and beach massage located right on the premises. Staff are helpful (although the food is just so-so - you re better off walking a couple of minutes to the restaurant adjacent to the public internet centre in Thong Nai Pan).

this resort was... ok. the rooms are very bare and a overpriced for what you get. the facilities were fine (no bugs and good airconditioning) but the shower had no curtain or tub which was a pain and the room was fairly sparse. the bungalows at the resort next door (i believe it s called bannpanburi) are much prettier on the outside. also, there was construction going on at the resturant on the beach (which was annoying) and it s supposed to continue until november. we found the staff to be not very friendly and DO NOT do your laundry at this resort. we sent ours out and (in addition to taking 8 hours longer) it came back smelling like sewage until we washed it again. thong nai pan noi is a great beach. very deserted, smaller and cleaner then thong nai pan yai and much less chaotic then had rin. long boat or taxi service to anywhere else on the island will put you back at least 300 baht roundtrip. we stayed here 7 nights which was nice but there wasn t much to do after the 4th day (esp. in the rainy season). our favorite part about this beach was the resturant next to this resort (i think it s called baangalows or something). it s really cute and the food was excellent (we ate here almost everynight!). gook luck and have fun!

the booking service was fine but they didn t send us the address or phone number of the resort. we contacted the booking service over email but didn t hear back from them until the day before we left. make sure you write down the location of the hotel before you leave on your trip since it s not on your confirmation.

Reconsider staying here before August 2006. The restaurant was being demolished while I was there & a new one is to be rebuilt during the next 2 months. No mention was made of the demolition during my booking & no discount was given for the inconvenience. The manager was totally indifferent to the guest complaints but the staff were apologetic. Despite this, the resort was OK and we stayed the full 6 nights booked. We had a seawing room which was 3 bungalows up from the beach & overlooked the pool, and after the restaurant had gone, it had a sea view too! The room was basic but quite large for the price and had a/c and an electric shower. Pool is small and over chlorinated but is a handy alternative to the sea if you have kids. However, Tong Nai Pan Noi is such a beautiful bay and perfect for swimming so a pool isnt really necessary here. We only ate breakfast at the resort which was fine. There s plenty of excellent restaurants on the beach & I dont recall having a bad meal anywhere. We arrived at the beach on the ferry from Maenam (Ko Samui) which avoids the scary taxi in from Tong Sala. We did leave on the taxi (a pickup with bench seats) which wasnt actually that bad. Tong Nai Pan Noi is, for the time being, a backpackers beach & there are frequent parties which can be a noisy. The upside for non-party goers is that you virtually have the beach to yourself the morning after. This beach was my favourite place on the trip & I would strongly recommend a visit.

A good service

We stayed for 5 nights at this great resort. We travelled over from Koh Samui and we were greeted at the the ferry terminal by a taxi service we hadn t booked. It cost 100b to the resort which is a 45 minute ride. We booked a sea view room which was well worth the money. The room was clean and modern. The only disappointment with our stay was that the staff we not as friendly as other places we had stayed. Overall I would recommend this place.

Booking service. Great. No problems.

Although the hotel is few years old. I must say that the room were big, value for money. We booked into a seaview bungalow. Ther are three seaview bungalows. When we arrived, we were given bungalow 107 next to a bar. The musics were very loud, and there were no cut off period. We asked to move and had to wait for another seaview vacant one. Bungalow 101 is the best location out of the three seaview bungalows. Resort restaurant were not to our standard, so we opted out to eat next door restaurant. This resort could make do with some good foods, either changing the chef for a better one. And also some umbrellas near around the pool. In that way, people can hang around a bit more, not ot mention that the food serve at the restaurant are a must to improve. We liked the beach and it is one of the best beach on this island. We will come back but different resort because of the food.

GREAT RESORT! Thong Nai Pan is by far the most beatiful beach on Kho Phangan I went to. It s fairly secluded but has a couple of nice bars and restaurants. The rooms at the resort were very clean and had nice bathroom. All the staff were helpful and very friendly.

The bungalow s are new, so they are in fairly good condition.A lot of families stay here, so not recomended for single or couples.Did not use the pool as it is small and mainly for children. The restaurant does not seem to be able to cope with the amount of people that stay here ( I assume that there were less bungalows before they rebuit)especialy at breakfast time. The Thai food they serve is passable, but avoid any western style food as it is very ordinary.

No problems with the booking.

The newest and most modern bungalows on the beach. Clean, nice and friendly. The only hotell a with a pool. They clean the room every other day when asked for. Very small village. Mostly backpackers. Nice, not so long beach. Be ware of the weather, we came 17 dec and had rain for 6 days. This was the rainy year but we udnerstood that the Andaman Sea side was much better. Due to the monsun I wouldnt go there before january.

I stayed 5 nights in a fan bungalow in Thong Nai Pan Beach Resort. The bungalow was big and clean and for that price very good. There was no automatically clean every day, just when you ask for that. The beach is very nice and quited and the restaurant of that resort was really marvellous and the best on whole beach. Staff is very friendly. The way to arrive that beach is really an experience.

Stayed for 5 nights (after which we felt we had exhausted local restaurants). The staff were friendly and honest, the food good. The pool was clean and a nice alternative to the (stunning) beach. The bungalow was clean on arrival, but was not cleaned during stay. We found the fan perfectly adequate without air con. Unlike the older resorts, there was no diesel generator, and we had an 8 hour powercut one night.

Don t pay the extra for a/c as it is rubbish, and the sea view is just not worth it. Go for the 600B and you still get the benefit of the pool. This is the only place that has a pool on this stretch. Good backpacker area.

This resort was very nice. We were staynig in Thailand for 6 weeks, and tyhis was with no doubt the best place, because of the staff, the beautifull location and the relaxing atmosphere. We stayed for 16 days with our 3 children 2, 7 and 9 years old. It´s a great place if you are travelling with kids. Our oldest boy played football every afternoon with the local thai people. The bungalows are nice and clean, and the swimmingpool is super too. The garden could have been more clean, but we didn´t care, and just enjoy our time. We will go back any time.....

Sawadee.com is a helpfull booking service. We made some changes in our booking, because of the tsunami, and the staff in Sawadee.comm were very helpfull with everything - thank you!

The bungalows were clean and comfortable with basic furniture. Each bungalow has a lovely large terrace which was very pleasent. Make sure you take something to combat the mozzi s as there tended to be a lot around in the evenings. The resturant was served reasonable food at good prices and there is a lovely view of the beach. Nice quite location although the resort was popular with families. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The resort was as expected. Upon arrival, the shower was dripping and the sheets were dirty. However, the staff immediately came to fix it all. The resort was comfortable, food was good and prices were decent. Thong Nai Pan Beach is one of the nicest on the island - secluded but not isolated. Several good bars and restaurants close by!

Easy and smooth. However, the resort was not aware that we had paid the deposit and wanted us to pay it again upon departure! Luckily, we had saved the email.
