Coral View Resort is located on Haad Sai Daeng, an idyllic golden sand beach on the south coast of Koh Tao.
All of the rooms have en suite bathrooms and are fully fitted and furnished for your comfort. The resort is well planned with plenty of space in between the bungalows to ensure total privacy. All of the rooms look out over the bay with spacious balconies and stunning sea views.
About the hotel: Coral View resort was in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful part of the island. My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely and wished that we had booked more nights there than we had. If there was one thing we would have enjoyed it would have been air conditioning in the bungalows but we were still comfortable enough without them for most of the day. Also, having to pay for internet at a resort continues to be baffling in this age of free WiFi everywhere else in the planet. But this is a problem all throughout Thailand not just here.
About the hotel: If you are looking for a quiet, secluded location with good sporting facilities but without too much luxury, then this is a good place to stay! We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, however, we were missing a good mango shake at the restaurant.

About the hotel: Great location, accommodation and facilities. I did have a perfect vacation for a week there. Everything went well. Only thing to improve is food ... its taste was a bit disappointed.
About the hotel: Un des hôtels les plus sympas, et de loin, de sa catégorie : localisation sur une belle plage, environnement agréable, la carte postale classique de plage paradisiaque loin du disneyland de mae haad et sairee beach...
Mais tout n est pas parfait notamment en famille avec des jeunes enfants : à 4, on se retrouve obligatoirement dans le nouveau batiment avec des chambres petites et sans ame finalement assez chères vu que Le pdj n est pas donné non plus... (190 baths / personne pour un café, une crepe et 2 oeufs avec 2 toasts ! En France ça fait rigoler mais en Thailande c est cher !)
Pour le snorkeling, la plage est bien mais pour les enfants, ce n est pas top : coraux partout et quasi impossible de se baigner à marée basse. Autant le savoir...
Centre de plongée : trés bien et trés pro ; bons tarifs.
le resto : belle vue mais cuisine bof ; le resto du new paradise hut sur la même plage est bien meilleur et plus sympa.
l accueil : au coral on aime bien l argent et ça se voit !
En résumé, on a pas vraiment aimé ni le coral view resort et encore moins Koh Tao qui est devenu une usine à touriste comme les iles d à côté.

About the hotel: Gorgeous hotel with great beach, but a bit too much coral. Not close to the main town Mae Haad but we just wanted to relax for a couple of days which it was perfect for.Cost a bit to get in to town and only 4x4 travel to get too and from hotel. Really nice family run place with variety of food. Only thing is our fan didnt work properly so it didnt move but its quite breezy there because right next to the beach, so it wasnt too hot at night.

About the hotel: We would without reservation recommend the coral view resort at koh tao! Absolutely amazing location; practically a private beach and one of the most beautiful on the three islands to boot. The staff are very warm and were quick to help us out with haggling! Fantastic price too and loads of quirks and bonuses like good snorkelling and cute pets. On On s Bar on the beach (part of the resort) is excellent too - with unusual spirits. We loved coral view!

Un hôtel extrêmement tranquille directement sur la plage. La description correspond exactement à leur site. Très propre, bon restaurant, accueil parfait.
La chambre 21 donne directement sur la plage avec un petit balcon. 1 lit double + 1 lit simple, 1 ventilateur, toilette occidental, douche froide. Eau chaude inutile sous ces latitude.
La plage est faite de sable mélangé à du corail moulu. Dès que l on rentre dans l eau il y a du corail. Chaussures conseillées. Parfait pour palme masque et tuba. Possibilité de nager avec des requins. Rassurez vous ils sont absolument inoffensifs. Accès depuis Mae Haad ( la ville ) uniquement en taxi 4X4, ou en moto tout terrain. L hôtel a un service taxi 2 x par jours pour 100 bath par personne et trajet. Hôtel conseillé à toutes personnes qui recherche la tranquillité et le dépaysement. Un vrai paradis. About the hotel: A beautiful place in the south east part of Koh Tao. Its a quiet resort with a beautifull flower garden. Ideal for snorkeling and diving. The stuff is like a big family and solve all your problems.
Also a good place for children. Its good value. We had a good time there.

:: ACCOMMODATION ::
All of the rooms are new or well-maintained
and set amongst lush tropical gardens that have gracefully matured over
the eight years that the resort has been open. There are three designs
to choose from at various rates to suit every traveler's budget; ranging
from luxury beachfront suites to Mediterranean styled bungalows and
island huts for the authentic Koh Tao feel. All of the rooms have en
suite bathrooms and are fully fitted and furnished for your comfort.
The resort is well planned with plenty of space in between the bungalows

Coral View Resort has three
different types of rooms, providing a variety of good quality accommodation
available at a range of prices to suit every budget. The resort has
been designed to fit into the wonderful natural surroundings with the
rooms spaciously positioned throughout the large tropical gardens ensuring
privacy. The majority of the bungalows are nestled into the hillside
with stunning sea views across Shark Island and all are less than 100
meters from the beach, the new suite rooms are all beachfront.
There are 26 rooms in total and all are new or well-maintained with
fan and western en suite fitted bathroom as standard. They are also
fully furnished, have generously proportioned balconies.
Traditional Island Huts There are ten traditional island style huts positioned on the hillside, situated amongst lush tropical gardens with romantic winding paths. Built in wood with generous balconies, all of the bungalows have great sea views and a double bed as standard. These island huts have western style toilet.
Mediterranean Villas There are six Mediterranean style bungalows that are also located on the hillside with fantastic sea views. Each unit has two bungalows that are well built and positioned to ensure your privacy; they all have ceramic tiled floors and fly screens on the windows. Two of the rooms have two single beds and the remaining four rooms have double beds. These bungalows have western style toilet.
Luxury Group Apartments There are ten luxury suites with mini-bar and western style toilet, fully furnished and beautifully decorated with ceramic floor tiles, fly screens on the doors and windows and big double doors opening out onto the balcony. They are positioned right on the beach and have a double and single bed in each room.
:: SERVICES & FACILITIES ::
Restaurant The Coral View restaurant is an amazing structure that is
built into the hillside amongst huge granite boulders. It has
scenic views out to nearby Shark Island and two different levels
offering a great variety of seating options to enjoy the excellent
food or wind down with a beer or a tantalizing cocktail.
The upper level houses the main dining area
whilst the lower level has a pool table and traditional Thai raised
seating area. The experienced team of chefs are equally at home cooking
both Thai and Western cuisine, using imported cheeses, spices and herbs
for authenticity and only the freshest vegetables, meats and seafood.
There is also a beach bar, which is the perfect place to cool off after
a hard day sunbathing or stargaze to the sounds of the sea lapping up
on the beach.
The resort has its own dive shop running trips
to all of the best local dive sites; and with Shark Island just a short
distance from the beach, it's a great place to take a relaxed dive in
a small group.
There are PADI courses available and also snorkeling, fishing
and boat trips. Coral View Resort has glass bottomed kayaks
and snorkeling equipment for hire, a variety of beach sports
and can even arrange water skiing for thrill seekers.
When
you're not feeling too active, there's Satellite TV with video
to chill out in front of or catch those all important sports
events and the resort also has internet and international phone
and fax services. There are car and boat taxis available, a
laundry, money exchange, Visa and MasterCard facilities and
a small shop with all life's necessities.

:: LOCATION & MAP ::
If you're
looking for things to do and see around Had Sai Daeng, the south
coast of Koh Tao is well connected and in a good position to
explore the island.
The region is fairly mountainous
away from the coast, and there are a number of trails and walks
to follow; the beautiful beach of Aow Leuk is just 15 minutes
walk away and Chalok Baan Kao, the local village with a busy
beach, is 20 minutes walk in the other direction.
Here you'll find a variety of local shops,
restaurants and bars; a few of which throw regular parties. Venus Park,
the island's biggest and most popular nightspot is also within walking
distance, but fortunately the hills ensure that it is well out of hearing
distance.
There are several great viewpoints in the region and also
numerous other attractions including the King Rama V Rock just
outside Mae Haad Village which is 10 minutes drive away and
is the main port and centre for Koh Tao.
Mae Haad has
grown from humble beginnings into a bustling market place, with
a host of restaurants, boutique shops and loads of bars.
It's a great place to spend the day shopping
or go for a night out and it's also the main point of entry or exit
on Koh Tao; so its proximity makes leaving a little bit easier, though
when you arrive at Coral View, you'll wonder why anyone would ever want
to leave!
