The staff are very nice, the waiter- Film Star , boat driver- Iron horse , boss-Big, and really lovely genteel dog-Panda. My wife and I really enjoyed here, thanks for Mango Bay Grand Resort and thanks for Web Sawadee, it is a very good website to book hotel, promptly and convenient
Mr.David/Ms.Unny 2009-04-29	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay we arrive at Koh Tao around 1 pm and we call to P NOi(Im not sure about her name) bcoz they have free transfer(long tail boat) to their bungalow.its take around 30 min to get there.the water so clear, my bf enjoy taking picture of that place so much. Its really nice place. we enjoyed it so much.i also love snorkelling there. This place is for a REAL VACATION...relax,joyful,memorable.and we have a plan to come back again.

jcasiopea 2009-01-09	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay The Mango Bay is a really nice resort, it s amazing to see how the Italian owner did all these nice bungalows in the middle of the jungle with the sea just right underneath you. The place is really isolated though, if you are looking for a quiet place to stay this is perfect. There is a shuttle service going once in the morning once at midday, so if you want to come back in the evening, you won t have an other choice than getting a jeep to bring you there or get a quad, i wouldn t recomend to go there by scooter, the street is really jungle-like and you must be a good driver. There is no free water in the room, electricity switches on in the evening and off in the morning, which means no hot shower during day time. I would recommend the place if you want to stay 2, 3 days but not longer, unless you really want to have to completly switch off for a while…
A. 2008-12-28	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay This is a tough comment to write. We have friends who have stayed here and loved it. We had read the comments and decided to book for 4 nights... ...we left after 1. Apparently locals don t go here during this time of year because of the weather. When there are large waves, longtails can not operate and one has to travel on a very bad road (they are trying to concrete some of the road at the moment). We eventually arrived and had many steep steps to walk... We were so disappointed. The jetty was torn up because of the waves, it was a bit dangerous getting to the restaurant, it looked slightly chaotic, sand bags and building material everywhere, you cant snorkel either (waves very big), no tv, no longtails to get anywhere. I honestly don t like complaining, but we didn t feel like we were getting what we payed for. What I would like to add is that the owner is a good guy, he was understanding. He drove us and others to town for free. I am sure Mango Bay can be great, we were just there at the wrong time. Maybe the hotel should try to compensate with other activities during the rougher seasons.	The Resort and Sawadee cooperated for cancellation, thank you...
Lawrence Mitchell 2008-12-28	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay We stayed in the ocean view room which was fantastic. The restaurant/deck is also great and the whole bay is very beautiful. Unfortunately the place is difficult to get to, we got dropped off on a dirt road but had hotel staff help us carry luggage. Taxi boats are an option but only when the weather is good. There s no real beach and getting into and out of the sea from the makeshift pier can be pretty danderous. Italian owner was friendly and helpful and has big plans to add on. Will be an amazing place in the near future. Staff were excellent.
Hendrik and Rika Nel 2008-09-11	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay We spent 4 days at this nice, quiet resort. Unfortunately the weather didn t play along, but we still had an enjoyable stay - thanks Mr. Louis and Kate. It is an absolute must for all snorkelling enthusiasts. Also great accommodation and an excellent little restaurant - where we relaxed during the bad weather. The resort is a little difficult to get to in poor weather, but it was a good adventure. We ll be back.	Excellent - as with all our Sawadee bookings. The way to go.

Le restaurant sert une bonne cuisine. Le seul hic est qu il faut prendre un taxi bateau pour se déplacer vers d autre lieux dans Koh tao ce qui limite un peu les deplacements, 1 à 2 nuits sont suffisantes pour profiter du lieux, qui a des airs d Italie car l hotel regrouppe de nombreux touristes italiens (les prioprietaires étant de cette origine).	Pas de probleme. Service parfait

The staff is so funny and polite. The bay is great for swimming and snorkeling. The balcony has had a great view on the bay. Food was delicious all time ! We can recommend a stay at Mango Bay Grand Resort without hestitate !!!!!! Hope to get back soon :D

Grand calme, idéal pour le snorkling. il n y a pas de plage mais une jolie terrasse en bois qui surplombe la mer. locqtion de kayak. le reve pour ceux qui cherchent le calme dans une ambiance familiale. La cuisine est tres bonne, le service un peu long mais la vue du restaurant est tellement somptueuse qu on s en fiche. Excellent rapport qualté /prix pour cette ile.	tres efficace

What I liked very much is the natural setting of the little wooden houses as if they had grown out of the landscape. We spent hours on the cushions of the open restaurant, overlooking the ever changing skies and see the men catch the fish for the evening meal. If you put your feet outside the lower terras you find a perfect bay for snorkeling. That s about what you can do there, don t expect excitement! This resort breathes luxury without being decadent.	perfect, very fast and pleasant to have direct contact with the resort for questions.
Kate Jefford 2008-07-06 until 2008-07-09	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay The hotel is isolated from the main beaches and town so food choices are limited - however, the majority of the meals were very nice - ask for fish of the day. It costs 100 baht to go to town for the day. Not a good location if you want to do a dive course or diving. Room was clean although a little small and light was dim. Great balcony with cushion chairs. Staff were friendly and the bar boys do a great job. I would recommend Mango Bay if you want to really escape for 2 or 3 days - it was very peaceful in the evenings. We stayed at ViewPoint, Chalok Baan beach on the south after Mango Bay and I would recommend it first (nicer room, cheaper, fantastic food), but Mango Bay is still good.	very prompt

Great for people who want to soak up the scenery/ambience, swim, snorkel and chill out in a beautiful, out of the way spot . My room (A3) was basic but comfortable and clean and had great views. The electricity is turned off for much of the day but it had very little impact on my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You need to be able to pay in cash once you are there. No complaints at all.	Great - all went as planned.

Such a fantastic size and the view was out of this world - just us and the sea! The room was much bigger than just the fan rooms so would highly recommend it. The people are really friendly and so relaxed - we spent most of our evenings playing cards in the restaurant. The sea is amazing!	Perfect

Unico problema.....non c è la possibilità di muoversi autonomamente perchè l hotel è raggiungibile soltanto con la barca. Si mangia al ristorante dell albergo ed i prezzi sono ragionevoli

The location of the resort is wonderful. It is quiet and peaceful. You will reach the resort only by boat (twice a day). There is no network for a mobile. This place is perfect for people, who will have a quiet and recreative holiday.	easy and uncomplicated.

The service was in general very good and helpful, the massage person did a great job on my swollen ankles and the place is absolutely spectacular both in terms of the view and the snorkeling. There is a great variety of fish in a calm environment disrupted by occasional boats. The food was also very good. The only inconvenient is the language in order to organize the pick up service from Ko Tao to get to the resort.	Excellent, fast no problems
Grant Hall 2008-01-16 until 2008-01-20	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay What a great place, I was very lucky and fortunate to find this place with the help of sawadee! The moment you arrive you know that it will be the right choice to relax, swim , snorkle etc. Mango bay is away from the hustle and bustle which is great if your into that, as I was. The villas where great, private and well looked after, you will need to know that to get to your room, there are a number of steps to get there as the resort is built into a hill of rocks. I normally go for a walk after dinner, you dont have to do this just walk back to your room? The restaurant was great, built overlooking the ocean great place to relax and eat, and the food is great. The staff where great, very layed back and helpful the manager was great she would go out of her way to help you, if you go ask her to make you one of her drinks in the evening, fantastic you will get hooked. The prices are a little bit more than other places but in comparison to home it is still very cheap. When you arrive at the pier you will be greeted by lovely staff and taken to the resort by long boat only 15 mins away, have your camera ready as this is the time you get to use it properly. As you can see I did like the place and will be back next year. Thanks Mango Bay for a great time.	Cheers Sawadee, you make all this happen so easy, see you next year.

You need to go by boat and is 30 - 40 minutes and a 100 bht every time if you want to go to the main area where restaurants and everything is. Problems: One night they arranged to pick us up at the peer , but because the waves were too roug,h we had to return by car and it was a crazy road and they charged us extra when they never mentioned this could ever happen. Service: Good.	very good

The owner is an Italian, but honestly in thailand i prefer the thai style.	Excellent!

The snorkelling right off the jetty is greatand across the bay (a quick kayak paddle away) its even better. Food was good (a bit expensive though) and the restraunt has the most amazing view. If all you want to do is lie back and relax then this is the place for you.	Perfect

It is at least as good as it looks in the pictures! Accommodation, food and service were all excellent, and everyone was most pleasant and helpful. The coral and fish were stunning with just a snorkel and mask. Trips to hearby Koh Nan Yuan and the town by boat are easily arranged. If you contact the resort beforehand (NB!), you can get a long-tail boat to collect you from the ferry.	Very efficient and straightforward for the main booking. It would have been helpful to have had up to date telephone and email details for the resort to make later plans about arrival/collection time, as emails sent to resort and Sawadee addresses didn t arrive or get processed.
Corena and Rob 2007-05-12 until 2007-05-17	Mango Bay Grand Resort, Koh Tao, Mango Bay Mango Bay Grand Resort made for a fantastic stay on Koh Tao. It is a small resort that caters well for travellers who don t like crowds. The location is nothing short of spectacular and the bay offers beautiful deep water snorkelling and diving around the coral reefs! The beach is very small and can only be accessed from the resort by swimming/kayaking (approx 200m), however the manager is planning on expanding closer to the beach in the future. The restaurant offers very good Thai food and fresh seafood, as well as a range of western dishes. The staff are very friendly and speak good english. The rooms were very clean and comfortable by western standards. There are only two small resorts in this bay and they can only be accessed by boat. Therefore, it can feel a little isolated, which is great if this is the type of holiday you are hoping for (although we did stay there in low season...so it was quite quiet everywhere). However, they do provide cheap boat rides back to the main town regularly. Note, they do not have ATM or visa card services at the resort. We would definately stay there again! Thanks for a great holiday!	No problems.

The resort can only be reached by boat and there is no beach. There is a great large decking with sun lounger so sun worshiper can enjoy their time there. The swimming was great. In the evening it is very relaxed, quiet, but during the day the bay is full of boat with divers or snorkellers - long tails are not the quietest of boat! The restaurant is good, but is the only one available, therefore I was glad that we only stayed 2 nights. The staff and the owner who is italian were very helpful and friendly. Must stay there if you travel to Koh Tao.	smooth booking, no problem

If you are planning to go pay the extra baht and get the airconditioned rooms. This is not because they are airconditioned(wich is nice) but because they are close to the lobby. Our bungalow was the cheap one and it was 164 very very steep steps to our room, this was a lot of hiking to get to our room each time. Beautiful setting, nice people, very peaceful, LOTS OF STEPS.	Worked perfect.

Tauchen, was vor allem auch andere Tauchschulen beanspruchen. Die Bungalows sind erst 2 Jahre alt, sehr nett gemacht, sauber, und haben alle einen wunderbaren Blick auf s Meer. Und die Garten/Hanglage ist wunderschoen angelegt. Man ist zwar von der Aussenwenlt fast abgeschnitten, aber es faehrt 2 Mal am Tag ein Wassertaxi nach Mae Haad. Eigentlich auch ideal fuer Honeymooners! Essen ist auch ganz gut.

Would definitely stay again!	Very prompt. No problems. Would use again.

You will need to line up arrangements with the hotel in advance to pick you up by water taxi once you arrive on the island. The resort is in a remote location that can only be reached by water taxi. There are steep stairs to get to the bungalows. The restaurant is OK. The food is cheap by US standards. Excellent snorkeling. Resort runs on a generator so electricity only from ~6 pm - 11 am.
