Laird Archer 2009-03-09	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote Nice enough place to stay. I was looking for quiet, warm water, and good snorkeling. Even though this is the quietest island in the area, and Black Tip is on the far side of the island from the port, I was looking for something even more pristine/remote. Snorkeling/ocean was OK, but not great (I went to Sail Rock, etc., a number of places). No direct view from the rooms of the ocean, but very close. Everything on the island is expensive, bring food, etc. with you if you can.
Paul Hicks 2009-03-06	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote Great position and good restaurant. Staff very helpful and cheerful. Free wifi and water. Rooms fine but set in jungle so unable to sit on patio without mossies. Wonderful snorkelling straight off the beach. Road to resort is unmade and quite an experience!
Richard List 2009-01-29	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote Tanote is 5km away from Mae Haad.The journey to Tanote is an adventure(miserable street).The Black Tip is directly located on the beach.The bungalows are all located in a jungle.Tanote is the best place in Koh Tao for snorkeling (directly from the beach).Problem is, Tanote is a very isolated place (for trips to other bays,it was only possible to order Longtail-boats from Mae Haad (very expensive).For this reason,we finished after 3 nights our stay in the Black Tip and we moved to the Sunset Buri Hotel on the Sairee Beach (very good decision).

christian clouston 2008-08-31	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote Our stay at Black Tip was great. The people were extremely friendly and helpful, which was probably what we enjoyed most. The food was good and our room was comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone.
YAU Kin-lok 2008-07-21 until 2008-07-23	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote I chose a Deluxe Bungalow w/A.C..Clean and tidy but the A.C. always shut down all night long due to the weak electricity power compressor,even the lights and electric fan wre affected.Environment & swimming pool were good.Resort staffs were fair but restaurant s staffs were nice.Resort s drivers were very helpful.They picked up customers at the pier in time.Fishes at Koh Tao were lesser & smaller than before since more people s visits caused more corals damaged & more pollutions.	Easy & convenient. Reasonable price.
FOLLETTI 2008-07-09 until 2008-07-14	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote Hotel très sympathique, quoiqu un peu isolé. Plage parfaite pour le snorkeling mais pas pour la baignade. La route d accès est abominable, du coup on reste à Tanote Bay. Les chambres sont bien, dans un super jardin. Le personnel de l hotel est très sympathique.	comme sur des roulettes no problem, perfect

For the Honeymooner, the novice of the sea, or the experienced diver, Black-Tip is the answer to a vacation that encompasses the Thai saying Cha-Cha - to go slowly. The staff are attentive, well versed in the ways of foreigners and brave in speaking in the English tongue. Smiles are abundant here, as is the beauty that the Black-Tip Resort shares with all who come to escape the hustle and bustle of life.	Simply efficient, from the pick-up at the ferry, to taxiing around the island. Great job in a country where one can expect things to go wrong!
Amanda Ariss 2008-04-21 until 2008-04-27	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote The location is great - quiet, attrractive bay with good views - although the building site behind the resort is none too pretty. Happily, no-one seemed to be doing any building. Rooms are pleasant, although a bit dark and more expensive than some other places at Ao Tanote. Restaurant food is good but also quite pricey for what it is. Staff could be friendlier and more welcoming.

First night we had to spend in a hut surrounded by restaurant (loud), carpark (loud) and the bins. Upgrade was this night not possible because the resort was full. After the upgrade the surrounding was better & the bungalow ok. But the whole resort has had its days. I can not recommend ist!	great

Diaz Cosentino 2008-01-09 until 2008-01-14	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote The Hotel is very well situated in the island, Tanote Bay is a really good place for snorkelling. The beach is clean and there is not too much people on. I took the cheapest room with FAN. Room very clean and very nice, bed very comfortable. I had to share with one other room bathroom and shower: very clean and agrable with a space. The garden in front is very nice and one important thing to notice : the room is under vegetation so even during the day the temperature in the room is not high. European food is really good above all the pizzas (the best pizzas i have eaten in Thailandia), Thai food is like everywhere with good products. You have a usefull taxi service almost every hour and a half to go in town. The swimming pool with a fantastic seaview is fantastic, but if you have little problems with the person who takes care of the swimming pool (who sometimes forget that the most important thing for a resort is to make people happy, to retain the customers for their next trip and not irritate them), you can tell the owner about. I recommend this hotel. good choice for Koh Tao	excellent

It is a bit isolated as it s on the other side of the island to the ferry port and most other resorts. The roads to the dive resort are quite bumpy (you wouldn t want to cross them at night although there is a service there if you want to). However, if you are looking for a relaxing and clean resort with a great bay for great snorkelling/diving then this is the perfect resort.

Martijn Deketelaere 2005-06-23 until 2005-06-29	Black Tip Dive Resort, Koh Tao, Ao Tanote Accomodation: great bungalows in a nice setting. Tanote bay is ok, but not as spectacular as some others on ko tao. The kitchen is clean and good. Diving school: bit crappy. Unorganised. I took the OW course. We had a german instructor who refrained from speaking English after another German person signed in for the course too. From then on mostly only german explantion and chit chat which makes you feel an outsider. No swimming pool for confined dives...meaning that after 25 minutes of practise I was at 10 meters of depth! Diving: Water is mostly clear from 7-20 meters visibility. Nice snorkeling in Tanote bay. Do watch out for titan triggerfish as the are unusually aggressive for no reason and rather big around ko tao.	sawadee did its job, Black tip was a bit unorganised as the reception desk is the dive shop.
