I have stayed at many resorts in Thailand over the past few years, and I must say that Promtsuk Buri was one of the most pleasant stays I ve had. The entire staff were kind and helpful, as well as professional. I felt very safe,and my belongings secure, even without a safety deposit box. I was able to explore the islands in the gulf and not worry about leaving expensive equipment in my room.Every day my room was cleaned by the friendly staff without any problems. The beach was private and peaceful,as well as beautiful, with a good variety of restaraunts,which were inexspensive and tasty, to choose from.The snorkeling was decent if not spectacular.We rented motor bikes next door for 200 Baht a day ($5.60 U.S.)Overall, we would stay at Promtsuk Buri again as it was quite a comfortable bargain! :) Tony and Elle

Gerald Wilmas 2009-04-05	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Fantastic resort, I had a bungalow right next to the beach, staff and facilties were excellent!! Would highly recommend this resort to couples and families or anyone seeking a quiet, peaceful holiday. If you are looking for the nightlife of Chaweng or Lamai you won t find it here. Couple of bars at the resorts stay open late but for the most part nights are quiet here. Definitely looking forward to my next trip back..	No problems or issues whatsoever, and airport pick-up was waiting for me in arrivals..
Cornelia Heneke 2009-04-02	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Quiet, nice, clean and well kept. No swimming-pool - thank goodness. Who needs one with the sea in front of the resort... We enjoyed our two-and-a-half-weeks-stay and would come back any time. Sehr empfehlenswert: Alles bestens, ruhig, ordentlich, man kümmert sich um die Anlage. Und kein Pool, zum Glück. Wer braucht schon einen mit dem Meer vor der Tür... Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.	No problems at all, everything went smoothly.Recommended!

Bojan 2009-02-18	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Bungalows are nice. I have gardenview bungalow for 1800bath but I get bungalow in 4th row from beach with a nice view on garden near bungalow and sea also so I was surprised that this is not sea view bungalow. Open roof bathroom is nice, maybe not nice in more rainy season :) Also beach is very nice with lots of shades especially in the afternoon. Resort and also beach is cleaned everyday. Beach is one of the best I saw, very nice look, rocks similar as on seychelles, places for snorkeling. It is true that only left side of bay is good for swimming but it is not problem to walk some meters to come there. There are a few restaurants near the beach, all were ok for me. But if someone want night life then this resort location is not good except if he wants to use taxi to come to some other place. For people that want more peaceful location I will very recommend it. I compare a little other resorts there and this one looks best for me. The only thing that was a little strange for me is that is usually no one in reception. As I saw same lady that works at beach restaurant is also working in reception (about 100m away). I didnt see if there is some camera or how she knows when she had to go to reception.	everything ok
Kerri Bergin 2009-02-15	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Beautiful modern bungalows with teak wood furnishings. Bungalow 8 and 10 are the best we stayed in these. Bungalow 15 (mini delux sea view) right behind the bar is very dated and overpriced. I think this may be the oldest bungalow on site. the rest are very new. The outdoor shower is wonderful - and private dont worry except for the odd gheko. The breakfast was fine and inline with the price. The staff are freindly and don t bother you atall. thye re there when you need them. The beach at Promtsuk Buri is the best on Samui - a bit stoney when the tide is out but beautiful horse shoe bay with clear blue calm waters. Very peaceful small beach mainly with adults and middle aged couples. no children running about which is great. i spent my first 3 days and my last 3 days in Samui at this hotel and it was the perfect way to begin and end my Samui dream holiday.	Perfect. Quick and easy peasy !

JURE VEHAR 2009-01-27	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Bungalows are in really great condition, everything is really like on pictures. Location is I think one of the best on Samui island - next to Chaweng and Lamai but far enough to stay in a quiet, nice part with great and not too busy beach. Staff is friendly and nice - so everything the best about that location and we will sure come back next year.	it was our first time to do reservation here and everything was like we expected

Our room was a garden court bunglow and was perfect. the room is large and spacious and the bathroom is really good too! open air shower! the rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are happy to come back when you decide to have a lie in! the beach was a 30 second walk from the bunglow and the beach restaurant was lovely! breakfast was always good. the hotel was so good that we came back after a horrible 3 days in koh Phangan and stayed from 28th Dec to 31st Dec! I would recommended this hotel to everyone.	Excellent! straight forwarded and easy to use
bethan jones-evans 2008-12-13	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach The hotel was perfect for me. I had a beachfront bungalow which was about 2m away from the beach and exactly as I had hoped. The bungalow was very well appointed and exceptioanally clean with a change of linens every day. My intention was to have a week relaxing and this was an ideal location for it. The hotel is located on a small quiet beach but close to both Lamai and Chaweng should you want to visit.The beach was pristine and cleaned of any debris and seaweed in the morning as well as during the day. Similarly the garden area was too. The staff were pleasant, friendly and extremely helpful. The small restaurant had a great choice for breakfast, and other options were of a very good standard. I would definitely stay here again.	Excellent. I was contacted via email and SMS and booking could not have been easier.

Coral cove is quiet beach between Chaweng and Lamai which is why we chose this location. The resort is clean and the staff are helpful. A good choice of breakfast. Accomodation is well priced. We would recommend this resort.	Fantastic as always.
Dietmar Wolf 2008-09-29	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Online booking has always something of an adventure. In case of the Promtsuk Buri we were rewarded with a resort that was up to our expectations - WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get). The neigbhouring resorts may need some refurbishment, but PB was quite new and well maintained. Accommodation, service and hospitality were excellent for the money paid. Between Chaweng and Lamai beaches, the location gives you a feeling of a private beach. Sun beds and umbrellas were not there, but not much missed as your bungalow/terrace is in little distance. You get easily around - to Chaweng, Lamai and other places - using the Koh Samui version of tuk-tuk. Most days we had dinner outside, but the menu in PB can be recommended as well. Try Lek s - waiter and barkeeper at PB - Mai Thai. We felt it was the best around. Remains a little to be proposed for improvement: Although we preferred Thai dishes for dinner, an European guest may like to see some cheese and sausages (other than Frankfurter ) on the breakfast menu. After all: We enjoyed 2 weeks staying at PB and on Koh Samui in general. DEOLA STEFANO 2008-09-07	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach I ve just arrived from 10 days holiday in Promtsuk Buri: wonderful place! The resort is in the best position of the island, between Chaweng and Lamai beach, in front of a quiet and silent sandy beach. Bungalows are few (17), new, spacious,with big balcony and absolutely clean and well furnitured (no roof shower is fantastic). I suggest seaview bungalows : they are 30 mt from the beach maximum. All bungalows are inside a lovely garden with palms and flowers. No noise, beautiful and calm sea full of colors and fishes. Cheap prices, good restaurant, friendly and available personnel, great peace: as you find written at entrance for anybody who loves privacy !! Go there: much better than all Chaweng or Lamai resorts!
Alexander Godwin 2008-08-12	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Promtsuk Buri was first class. The accomodation was superb and the staff friendly and attentive. The resort is in a lovely little bay well away from the hell holes that are Chaweng and Lamai. We will certainly return to Promtsuk as we had a really relaxing time!
MARCO FALCETTI 2008-08-03 until 2008-08-06	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach This is the best place I have seen in Samui, nice beach, few people, nice bungalow (clean and quiet) all very close to the beach (max distance 100mt). Only note that in the main road there is nothing, therefore you need some transportation (taxi or rented one) to get in any other place. I strongly suggest.	All worked perfectly.

Friendly and very service minded staff. Reasonable taxi fare and distance to Lamai or Chaweng Beach. If we ever come back to Koh Samui we would like to stay there again.	Worked perfectly.

Peter Strang 2008-02-21 until 2008-02-25	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach The beachfront bungalow was nice and clean but it was rather windy. The other bungalows were more protected from the wind. The staff person at the reception was ok, but the staff at the breakfast were not: no attention, never a smile. After the second breakfast we chose to have our brekfasts, lunches and dinners at the neigbouring resort with nice staff with a great attitude. We are not planning to go back here as there are plenty of good resorts with nice staff around Koh Samui. We visited 3 more resorts during our stay (Maenam and Bo Put) - every time with good service that was very different from Promtsuk Buri.	Excellent booking service.

The bungalows are very nice and clean. They don t have a pool and that is the thing we missed most. Beach and water is ok, there is no chairs on the beach. We would like to recommend this place.	Perfect everything was easy and worked out as I wished. No problems.
Renee Bones 2008-02-12 until 2008-03-08	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Very nice place to make Holidays!We have a seaview bungalow,very clean and the best is the open bathroom.The beach is nice and clean.The staff is very friendly and helpfull.Promtsuk Buri ist ein wunderbarer Platz für einen erholsamen Urlaub.Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt,hat einen schönen Garten und ist ruhig gelegen.Die Bungalows sind sehr sauber,haben eine schöne Terrasse,aber das beste ist das offene Bad mit Dusche.Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.Das einzigste was der Anlage vielleicht noch fehlt wären einige Liegestühle am Strand,aber ansonsten waren wir sehr sehr zufrieden!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder.We are comeback next year	Very good.No problems

Lovely resturants just up the hill (a couple of minutes) on the way to Chaweng, which is only 5-10 minutes in a taxi - 50 baht each. The beach is fantastic, kept nice and clean, not busy at all and the sea is gorgeous. Shame the resort does not have a swimming pool though.	Fantastic booking service, very quick.

Very clean and got new towels every day with a very good maid service. Taxi ride required to get to Lami and Chaweng as very quite around hotel. Advise learning how to ride a scooter as rental available and much cheaper than taxis. Overall very nice rooms in a quite area of samui on a superb beach.	Quick and easy would definately use again. Really close to both Chaweng and Lamai but we found it perfect that it was in a quiter and more beautiful location. The bar on the beach served great food, cocktails and other drinks and the staff really went out of their way to make our holiday as stress free and perfect as possible. Bungalows are new with king size beds and lovely private outdoor bathrooms, also rooms are cleaned daily. We will definitely be back, highly recommended!!	Easy, fast and good communication.
Gerald Manduca 2007-12-24 until 2007-12-30	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach We spent a week here and we were extremely happy with the place and the service. Its exactly as shown on Sawadee. The staff were excellent. You have a beach which is shared by about 4 resorts so its very quite and always clean. The restaurant is by the beach. Food is very well priced and very good. We booked a mini deluxe sea view bungalow which is very nice, but if we visit Koh Samui again I will stay at the same resort and book the deluxe sea view bungalow. Its a bit bigger inside with a larger terrace. The resort s about a 10 minute drive from Chewang centre were you ll find althe restaurants and shops. We rented a bike for 200THB per day from the resort. Very cheap and vey efficient way of getting around the island. Only thing that wasn t 100% was the cleaning of the rooms. Towels weren t changed every day, maids forgot to leave toilet paper so we had to keep asking and if you pay by credit card they charge 3%. It s only a small amount but it would be nice to know certain things before hand. But all in all the place is great, the rates are excellent. I definately recommend it.	Excellent as usual.

The room was very clean and so lovely! exactly like the pictures on the internet. Every day it was cleaned a tidied! The staff at the resort were great lovely and friendly and we were always greeted with a smile at breakfast. Food was good too! Best bit was it was quiet and a lovely private beach, short ride away from some great restaurants (the cliff) and a bike or taxi away from Lamai or Chaweng. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.	Booking was great simple and quick. I will definately use sawadee.com again they made it all so easy THANKS
J marshall 2007-12-15 until 2007-12-16	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Wonderful although difficult to find, ask for Samui Yacht club near Lamai. The gardens are beautiful, I watched sunrise swinging in the hammock, breakfast was included and good choice. The beach is divine and I loved the open air bathroom. Showering looking up at coconuts and the moon. The rooms were of adequate size with nice furniture, towels etc. Staff okay, nice massage on beach. Pretty perfect and worth the money. Best place I stayed in Samui. Taxi needed though for nightlife, only thing in walking distance was massage and food, but then again that s all you need..	excellent
Dennis Kelly 2007-11-17 until 2007-11-22	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach We loved it! We were there for 5 nights. The rooms were clean and well appointed, the outdoor shower was really nice. They had just put in a bar and some tables right on the beach. We ate breakfast and lunch there every day. The food was great. Lek, the bartender/waiter was a pleasure! He makes the best fruit shakes, and always has a smile and a good word! We rented a motorbike for 200 Baht (cheap) and just had a really great time. The beach is quiet and beautiful, not the craziness of Chaweung, but still only about a 10 minute motorbike/taxi ride to there. I highly recommend it if you re looking to get away. We got there on a Sat night and only left to go out to eat until Wednesday. Every day we would wake up and say We ll get a motorbike and explore today... but there was no reason to leave, so we never did. I can t say enough about it, it was a great beach getaway to end our vacation.	Very communicative on the booking, no problems at all. What I would expect it to be.
Raymond Poole 2007-11-12 until 2007-11-14	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach I was booked for 3 days but left after 2. Promtsuk Buri should be a lot better then it is but I found it to be very amateurish in its endeavours. When I checked in I was allocated Bungalow 4 which I was shown to by the receptionist. It was immediately obvious that there was a problem with the door. You had to either use your shoulder, hip or foot to have enough strength to open/close the door. They should have changed/upgraded my room then! Only 2 of the 17 bungalows were occupied! Promntsuk Buri has very nice grounds and garden and is right on a little beach. Unfortunately a large drain, presumably storm water, flows into the water about 10 metres from where you sunbake or swim! Whilst many will love the location I got sick and tired of having to catch taxis if I wanted to go to Lamai or Chaweng. Nothing much is within reasonable walking distance as it is quite hilly if you head north. The rooms do NOT provide DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities, a safe nor an adaptor. In my opinion Promtsuk Buri should be a lot better then it is and perhaps with improved management it will achieve that.	Quick and efficient. Highly Recommended!

Juergen Haecker 2007-09-28 until 2007-10-12	Promtsuk Buri, Thongtakian Beach Fantastic value for money. Hotel is one year in service now. We had a wonderful stay of 14 nights. Absolutelly nice, friendly an helpfull people. Our flight to BKK departed late, 22.00 local time. Normally you have to check out until 12 noon, but we were allowed to check out whenever we liked to- for free. So we departed late, at 20.00 in the evening. Rooms are cleaned every day, except for sundays. Nice open roof shower. All Rooms with good working A/C, Fridge and TV (some Newschannels of the US, some Aussie channels, one germnay Channel Deutsche Welle). Inexpensive restaurant at the beach, good Breakfast included, you can also choose á la carte bf- it´s included. To summ it up: Fantastic stay, great value for your money, nice friendly people (especially the bartender Le has always some good jokes- really nice guy!). A big recommendation.	Without any problems, very helpfull.
