Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake A perfect choice for any couple who are looking at an extended stay of 2 weeks or more to really explore Samui. The location is great as it s in a quiet area of Chaweng yet 1 minute scooter ride from the madness of the Strip, and provides spectacular views of the lake from the 3rd floor. The standard room was the only one available during New Years and was quite small. I would opt next time for the Sansabai one or the small villas which are perfect! A friend stayed in the villa and had more than enough space for a couple - plus private plunge pool! The staff operating the apartments are accomodating and helpful, offering a warm Thai welcome throughut the visit. All in all, excellent location and a real bang for your buck! |
The online booking service is as good as the best I have used in the past and is an excellent service to all tourists visiting beautiful Thailand |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake Great location, ambience and beautiful Villas. Very comfy and the staff is very polite and pleasant. Loved our stay there. The Villas are only 10 mins away from the Chewang lane (the main market in Chewang), the beach is only about 10 mins walk…Our stay was extremely comfortable and the staff is caters to the guests every whim. I strongly recommend this place for all travelers who are traveling on a budget. It’s economical without compromising on lifestyle and comfort. If I do go back to Koh Samui, I will definitely stay in the Villas or Apartments again |
Excellent and easy! |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake The villas are looking old now and this is reflected in the price. It wasnt the best palce we have stayed.the villa was clean and everything worked, the staff were friendly and polite.Unfortunately the hotel is situated very close to the Escape monthly party at Chaweng lake, this noisey party was so loud that we thought they were in our bathroom. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake It doesnt really look as it does on the website, a lot more old and worn. It need a bit of a revamp. We would not stay again for a few reasons. Mainly the lack of facilities they say they offer. Gym - absolutely NO gym Long distance telephone - NO Bus service to the beach - Yeah when it suits them or if you con them with cigaerettes or cash. But they wont pick you up. We resorted to hiring a motorbike. Internet - eventually, after 4 days, and then of course they tried to charge us for this free and included service We stayed in one of the apartments, the apartment itself was comfortable, though sometimes the drainage gets smelly. Gung the lady staff member was lovely. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake On arrival at hotel we were dissapointed and surprised to find that the villa had one bedroom that was part of the living room ( screened off). The furnishings were off good quality but the living area was filled up with a huge table and dining chairs, there was a lasge plasma TV but no where to sit other than the hard chairs. On complaint a sofa was provided. The Sawadee web site does not give a true perspective of the hotel which is not suitable to people with walking difficulties. Steps up to the Bar and reception are very steep with no hand rails. The pathway to villas are also difficult to negotiate and are not suitable for a wheel chair. The staff were very helpfull and tried their best to over come our problems. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake I m a Moslem from Malaysia and stayed in a Standard Service Apartment during my holiday in Samui. The apartment is NEW, has nice and clean modern Thai interior design, exactly looks like the pictures they show on the website. The hotel offered daily bottled plain water in fridge but no safe box available. The breakfast is nothing to shout about, it s served a la carte, you can choose maximum 5 dishes in the menu only!. If you can only eat Halal food (Moslem food), I ve found one opposite Bangkok Hospital Samui in Chaweng (never tried), and the other one at Lamai Food Centre in Lamai (excellent, spicy food). Basically you ve got to rent a motorbike or a car in order to go to the beach, as it s located quite far from the beach. However, it is located near to a Tesco Lotus, where you can easily get your necessities, if you stay long in Samui. The reception guy, Tom (a Thai guy) is so helpful, and you can trust him. You just need to be nice with him, and he ll assist you whatever he could. I ve booked a motorbike (competitive rates), a trip to Angthong National Marine Park (cost lesser than the counter price) and a car transfer (it s big and new - standard market rate) to the peer on my return, all from Tom. I rate this hotel at 8 out of 10 points. |
Confirmation is sent via plain email. I suggest Sawadee to introduce proper voucher to be sent by mail, like other online agent do. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake Booked 10 nights in two Premium Villas. Very disappointed with the villas and the attitude of the management, although the staff were friendly. Sawadee s website states that all rooms in Villas are air-conditioned. They are not, only bedroom. It also states all villas have an outside bath-tub as well as the jacuzzi, wrong again, only a bucket full of cold water. Only one villa had cooking equipment (Microwave, fryer etc) and again only one villa had satellite TV, the other had cable. Also, a lot of mosquito s in or around Villa. When these problems were highlighted to the owner his attitude was well I got my money, tough luck for you! There was no gesture of good will offered by him and we were told to take it up with our booking agent. When we arrived, we were offered breakfast in our villas each morning , after our complaint, we never received the breakfasts, which wasn t too bad as the food sucked! Other things to note, if your inclined to bring a guest to your room of an evening, the hotel charges a strict 500baht joiner fee . There is building work going on next to the pool and if you want to hire a scooter don t book it through the hotel, they charged 250 baht for 1 night even though their welcome pack states 200baht and if you were to walk 500m down the road you d get one for 175baht. For the money you can do so much better than the Baan Kao Hua Jook. There is zero customer service from the owner, it s all about money. Which is a shame as it has the potential to be a great Hotel, but I won t be staying there ever again. |
Never had a problem booking with Sawadee and I hope they address the problems we had by at least amending the facilities details on their website. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake Overall we felt lucky with our stay here for 10 nights. There was a house being built directly opposite the only communal swimming pool which of course was quite noisy. We stayed in a superior villa with it s own pool so was not inconvenienced too much by this. Unlucky though for people in the apartments. The service was o.k, nothing special - more like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel. There is no safe in the rooms and the shuttle doesn t run past 6 pm into Chaweng - taxis s are cheap though. The staff speak limited English although try hard to please. The villas were cleaned very well every day so no complaints with this. The breakfast was fine - not much choice but cooked to order. The rest of the food though was not nice - wouldn t recommend anyone eating there. Sunbeds around the pool could also be an issue as there s only a few there and lots of apartments! Another point to note is the once a week Escape House Party that is located across the road (100 yards away or so) - noisy isn t the word!!! This happens once a week from 9 pm to 7 am. I don t think this resort operates a bug programme as the mosquito s were rife! We ve been to Thailand 5 times and even after buying lots of cans of spray for the villa, coils burning and repellent on us we got bit approx 20 times - you can see them around the roof and doors!! Mosquito nets would have been good. So, all in all - not bad for the price paid. The villa was lovely but wouldn t go back again as you could end up in a villa that s overlooked and the service wasn t as expected. |
Excellent as always.. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake It¡¦s no ¡§private¡¨ at all! The building opposite to our villa can directly see inside the villa so we not feel comfortable. The service was also not professional. When we asked the staff to make a reservation to Tamarind Spa for our next day spa treatment. The staff-Tom pushed us to buy their recommend spa store and did not call Tamarind Spa and lied us he already make a reservation for us. So when we went to Tamarind it¡¦s full! It¡¦s overprices for that kind of lousy service! And we will not go there again! |
Excellent! |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake The staff wre very friendly and helpful. The villa s were very nice and were kept spotlessly clean. The plunge pool was very welcome with the weather being so hot. We hired a 1 bed villa and a 2 bed villa and it was well and truly value for money. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Chaweng but getting a bus on the main road is easy to do. I would recommend hiring a moped or car. My one main criticism is that the hotel provides several free transfers to Chaweng however on each occassion we went to use the 8pm transfer they were never running. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake Stayed in villa, only AC in bedroom, NOT in all rooms ,as stated on Sawadee, where it also is promised credit cards accepted ,which is not true, when we wanted to pay next months rent with VISA or AMEX the answer was can not ,and we had to transfer from bank. Privacy ok in villa, but no air, so the heat almost killed us and we had to stay in bedroom with AC most of the time. Manager cheated about prices twice, told ut special price , which turned out to be presicely ordinary tariff. The nearby Lake side music event played VERY VERY loud music whole night until seven in the morning at least once a week. Will never stay there again. |
Booking through Sawadee ok as usual |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake The hotel has 2 types of accomodations. I booked a VILLA, I dont know about the appartment. The villas are really GREAT !!! Mine, a normal one, was very spacious, around 150 sqm ! Very big bedroom with large and confortable bed, large dinig/sitting/kitchen, with sofa and everything, inside bathroom; outside bathroom ! Everything is very clean and well maintained. The villa is in a private garden ! And, the best of everything, YOU HAVE A PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL in your garden! Its not big, its more than a big whirlpool, but its great ! The staff is very friendly, especially Morn, who will do everything to help you. You can rent motorbikes with them. The hotel is quite far from the beach, I tried once to go there walking and it was terrible and dangerous because of the traffic. So you need a motorbike, 5 minutes from north of Chaweng Beach. I highly recommend this hotel, and 4500 for the villa is really a good price in Chaweng !!! |
A voucher sent by mail would be appreciated |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake Good value, peace and quiet, not far from the beach and right by the lake. First night we stayed in the apartment. Our room was on the top floor and on the roof there were the outside units of the airconditioning. To much noise for me. So we moved to a villa, as I tought I booked, but I didnt check the voucher and that sayed I booked an appartment. Check your vouchers! There was a villa vacant so we payed extra and moved to a villa. Wery nice with our own jacuzzi (not a real one, more like a very big bath with 4 waterspraying vents), priat secluded garden and a very big villa with everything we wanted. Roomservice while sitting in the jacuzzi...... |
Booking service was good, only remark is that I am sure I booked a villa, but when we arrived we got an appartment and they were right because the voucher sayed appartment. I think the booking system failed and I didn t check good enough. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake We stayed in the Villa which was nice, but you need insect repellent. On one night there was a power outage so no airco and no light. No stocked minibar, you have to pay breakfast extra (2 persons up to 600 Baht!! which is a rip-off for Thai standards) No 24 hour service. It s located too far from the center to walk so you will need to rent a scooter (best option) or pay a taxi (costs between 150 and 200 Baht one way) Better to stay in a hotel with all the amenities you expect when paying that price. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake These villas were great. Very spacious and cleaned every day. We had a jacuzzi which we used morning and night, however really did not need it as the main pool upstairs was lovely. Never crowded at all. A very quiet resort, would definately recommend it. Not right on the beach, about a 15 minute walk, however if you wanted to go down to the shops, restaurants of the beach they would give you a lift and even pick you up. It was very nice. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake We had a fabulous, private villa, with our own gardens surrounded by a private wall. You get the privacy of your own place with all of the facilities and amenities of a hotel. The staff were more than helpful - simply couldn t have been more friendly! Compared to other beach resorts the complex offers much more room and privacy and yet is only a very short distance fron central Chaweng where all the action is - just a couple of minutes by cab or bike (around a 1 UK Pound in a cab). I ll definately be returning!! |
Simple, safe booking service - no problems at all. |

Baan Kao Hua Jook Villas & Apartments, Chaweng Lake 10 minute walk to beach and main drag or 2 mins on a motorbike for 2 pound 50p. This place is immaculate. Would suit a couple who have wheels for ease of things. I had the 1 bed villa with own pool and it was great. I loved being slightly out of the way but close enough by bike to whip out for any reason. The staff are great, clean rooms everyday and you get that thai spa feeling inside your villa. Well worth the money and better value than a hotel. The hotel rooms are smaller but depending on who you are, better located. This coming from a man who lived on this island for 13 years. Well recommended and will stay here again for sure. |
Sweet. No problems at all. Got everything promised and very easy. Thanks |
