" The Ibis is really good value for the location. If you check the prices of the other hotels on the same stretch of beach at Bophut you’ll be sure to pay a lot more. Rooms are small but very functional and well equipped. It’s lacking in Thai atmosphere entirely, but its clean cut and modern feel will appeal to the traveller who likes to have standard hotel basics like a kettle, good lighting, western bathroom and excellent customer service. I thought the buffet breakfast was excellent, far exceeding my expectations for such a cheap hotel! (it’s also available from really early to midday – amazing!). For me, there was one down side and that was the pool which is divided into a number a smaller pools and lounging areas with a lot of dividing hedges! As a result it always seemed full even with about 4 people in it. More pool, less hedge would be a far better layout but that really is my only criticism. Bophut village is a 20 minute walk along the beach. "
