Peter Rosser 2008-03-13 until 2008-03-15	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach My word, what a find. If we had 10 boxes to tick, the Honey Cottages ticked 15 of them! An amazing small friendly resort right at the waters edge situated on what we feel was the best beach remaining on Samui. Staff are fantastic, lovely Restaurant and bar right on the beach. Stunning Sea veiw s from our cottage. Good basic accomodation with a personal touch including everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. Cant wait to return!	Very easy and efficient. Faultless.
Paul Clarkson 2008-03-01 until 2008-03-06	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach Booked a garden bungalow in this hotel; it was clean and a nice size, with a good bathroom. Bedroom had a TV, safe, mini bar, and you got 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water every day. Breakfast was included in the Honey Seafood restaurant at the end of Choeng Mon beach. The grounds of the hotel were nice and lush, and directly on the beach.
Oliver Joa 2008-02-25 until 2008-02-28	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach It is not easy to find, the street is very bad, but the resort and its location is very good. The beach is very beautiful, but not much good for swimming because of some rocks in the water. Opposit of the Beach is a small Island which can be reached by walking. The water is not deep. The Bungalow was clean and beautiful. Breakfast and Restaurant is directly on the Beach.	No Problems

We had a reservation for four nights, but we stayed six nights instead because we loved the place. The beach was wonderful and peaceful and only 20 meters away from our garden view room. The breakfast was not good, but you can live with that because everything else was perfect.	No problems.
Robert Bridges 2007-11-08 until 2007-11-13	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach This was a great spot. We enjoyed the beach with it s breezes and the water was very nice. We had a beach view room which was quite nice but the garden view rooms would also be nice. Meals at the restaurant were good so I would recommend getting breakfast included. If you want to see more of the island it will cost lots by cab so I recommend renting a car or motorcycle - very reasonable.	Booking services worked smoothly with no problems - I recommend Sawadee.com
Yossi Vilenski 2007-08-10 until 2007-08-14	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach It is a great place for a peaceful vacation, unlike most of the other resorts in Sumui. We enjoyed it a lot. The rooms are very nice and it is located on a small isolated beautiful beach with a variety of good restaurants.	Efficient.

Placed onto the beach wich is nice for children with calm water and lots of sand. However if you dont want to see only european people dont go here, and dont go to koh samui at all.	Very good

It should be noted though that the COMPULSORY new years eve banquet ThB$2000 pp was not very nice. The food was scant and of average quality, and no alcoholic beverages were included in the 2000 baht price. We were both highly unimpressed. Otherwise a nice place to stay.
Goh Wee Meng 2006-12-28 until 2006-12-30	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach We were given a bungalow right with perfect sea view even though we booked one with garden view . We loved our little cottage. The room was quite big. Our windows were big so the sea view was perfect. The room I had came with a safe. Quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly but cannot really speak english that well. Breakfast was satisfactory. One problem we had with the whole place was it somehow lacked the atmosphere. Even though the hotel was fully booked, we could hardly see anyone around. The beach was ok, but there were many twigs and corals washed ashore. The sand is rough compared to Chawang beach. If only this hotel can situate itself in Chaweng beach..... We had a nice time nonetheless.	Efficient, responds most efficiently compared to all the other websites we have tried.
Patrick Sjoelin 2006-12-21 until 2006-12-25	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach Nice bungalow. Beatiful view. It was very big waves and blowy so we couldn´t swim. At the breakfast that was included you could choose two things from a breakfastmeny. Ex coffe and toast. Not a breakfastbuffet that it was at the other hotel. There were not many people at the hotel and felt desolate.The hotelstaff said it was low season. Longer from chaweng than we had expected. We left after two nights, not four that we had booked.	no problem
Svante Gustavsson 2006-12-02 until 2006-12-13	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach We left the kids back home for a quiet relaxed vacation and the found a perfect place. Friendly hotel people , not so pushy, ie, if you wish to be left alone , no problem. Some were perhaps not fluent in english but that wasnt really a big problem. Rooms were nice with AC, fridge, and premier league football on the telly every night. Always fresh fruit and 2 bottles of water complimentary every morning. We had planned to move to Chaweng Beach after a couple of nights , but after a full day there among seedy salesmen and strumpets we decided to stay at our hotel the entire stay. Breakfast was included at a a beautiful restaurant onthe beachfront and the servants were perhaps a bit distraught , probably newly hired but ok. However , if you want party -go somewhere else. It is all nighty nighty at 21.30 , but that was what we sought for. So we can definitely recommend this place to others who seek beauty and relaxation. Good price too..	Swift and trouble-free.

Beach has enough to keep you occupied for a couple of days (decent selection of eateries and a couple of bars) but its also a 10 min cab ride to a couple of larger places if you want more of a lively experience. Actual resort restaurant (slightly further up the beach) is fantastic and is also the location for the very good breakfast. Rooms always clean and tidy and very pleasant staff. Not a lot of difference between beach and garden rooms so go for a garden one and save a bit of baht.	Booked for 12 of us. Quite a bit of going back and forth but overall details of the stay were bang on.

I had been dead set on getting a beachfront room/bungalow for my stay in Koh Samui but as it was a last minute trip this was tricky. However, at Samui Honey Cottages all the rooms are very near the beach so i really wasn t disappointed. My apartment was upstairs which I was surprised at but I really was just a 10 second walk from the beach! It was very clean and had all the comforts to start my holiday in style...TV, great air con, lovely bathroom and shower, great safe and minibar/fridge, comfy bed. The restaurant is a 2 minute walk at the end of the beach and is absolutely beautiful...sand underfoot, great food and service. Also had room service one night which was fab....quick, arrived on a huge tray and presented just as if I d been at the restaurant....all for about £4! There s also a beach bar for lunch/snacks/drinks if you don t want a little walk. Choeng Mon beach is gorgeous - white sand, casurina trees to provide shade, and its very quiet and peaceful but has enough bars/restaurants/people to not feel too isolated. Honey Cottages have sun loungers on the beach for guests, and these, along with the beach were never crowded at all. Lots of opportunities for beach massages, manicures, etc, and beach sellers wandering along selling beach clothes and food....do have a look at what they sell - they re not at all annoying, they re very pleasant and friendly and if you re not interested a smile and no thank you is enough for them to leave you alone. I was a 29 year old on my own and I really enjoyed my visit to ChoengMon and Honey Cottages and would recommend it to anyone at all looking for rest and relaxation on beautiful Koh Samui. I moved on to Maenam beach which was also fantastic!	Great. All very easy. I arrived at 9 o clock in the evening and my driver was there waiting despite an hour s delay and there was no problem with my reservation.

I had my heart set on a beachfront bungalow but as I booked last minute this wasnt possible, so I had a deluxe garden view. It didnt matter because it was still so close to the beach....a 10 second walk! I was surprised that my apartment was upstairs but again, it didnt matter at all. The apartment was very clean and cleaned every day...no bugs at all! I had all the comforts to start my holiday off really well...good aircon, comfy bed, TV, great safe and minibar/fridge, and lovely bathroom. The complex was also very peaceful and felt safe and professional. The restaurant was a 2 minute walk to the end of the beach and couldnt have been in a more beautiful spot - almost right on the beach, sand underfoot! I ordered room service one night which was fab - all delivered on a huge tray looking exactly as it would have done if I d been at the restaurant, all for about £4! ChoengMon beach is beautiful - white sand, blue sea, and lined with casurina trees to provide much needed shade. It is a small beach - you can walk the length of it in about 10-15 minutes but is still peaceful and not at all crowded, just the right amount of people and beachsellers (try the beach sellers-they re very friendly and dont pester you at all...just say no thank you with a smile!) to keep it interesting, and a good selection of beach bars/restaurants. Honey Cottages seemed to me to be in the perfect location on the beach...central and away from the slightly busier, more commercial end. I had a wonderful stay as a 29 year old on my own and would recommend it all for anyone looking for rest and relaxation in a beautiful environment.	Great, no probs at all. I arrived at 9 o clock at night and my reservation was in place, and the driver I organised through sawadee to pick me up at the airport was there even though my flight was delayed by an hour. Thank you!

The location is lovely and quiet but the restaurants on Choeng Mon are just a couple of minutes walk away. Would defintely stay here again.	Good, no problems and all went smoothly.
Stephen Barber 2006-04-06 until 2006-04-10	Samui Honey Cottages, Choeng Mon Beach We chose this place based on the reviews given by other guests on this website and were pretty disappointed. We booked a Deluxe garden view room but received a room with a view only of another room occupied by three foul mouthed essex boys. We decided to upgrade to a superior deluxe room just to get away from them. Our room was reasonably sized, with good mini-bar, comfortable beds, good choice of TV channels. Safety deposit box in room was almost impossible to work out and comes with no instructions. Our bathroom adjoined the neighbours bathroom, and for some reason the partition wall stopped a foot short of the ceiling. This gave the feeling of being in a public toilet, as you can hear your neighbour s washing, bowel movements and anything else they may be doing. Hot and cold levers for the shower have also been confused (I had three days of cold showers before my wife told me). View from the restaurant was nice. We had lunch there once though and it wasn t great. Beach was a bit dirty. Same goes for the sea. The water here is calm and shallow, but murky, so ok for paddling but not good for snorkelling. No pool at the resort either. Upon leaving we were charged 400bt by reception for some bloke (who wasn t even a taxi driver) to take us to the airport. That ruled out any chance of me leaving a tip for the staff. For 2000bt a night in peak season I would have said this place was reasonable value, however I expect lot more for the 3900bt we paid. We stayed at the Banana Fan Sea resort in Central Chaweng for the same price, and that was in a different league.	Fine, no problems

We stayed at the beachfront cottages, the rooms are nice and the view are great, all the staffs offer a real hospitality with heart & soul. The beach are quiet & the water are clam because of the natural barrier. High standard housekeeping service makes all the rooms very clean and keep the fine sand away. The hotel have free bottles water since the water in the bathroom can only use for shower. The bed in room are stanard double bed, check before you confirm your reservation. A great place for relaxation.	Good

Choeng Mon beach is a quiet place, the beach and swimming possibilities are marvellous. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the service was good. What we could want was some more effort in cleaning the beach, and a written instruction for programming the safe lock. We definitely want to come back to this place and this hotel.	Worked well. Easy and recommendable.

The staff were helpful and informative. The downside to the resort is that they should employ staff to ensure the beach is kept litter free it appears to be someone elses problem with no visable litter baskets.We would return to this resort again and have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to stay	No problems, as it should be when arranging a booking

Staff excellent (as are the staff of Island View 2 next door. Honey cottages gives good value with excellent facilities. Definitely stay on this beach for a romantic or quiet family holiday away from the madness of Chaweng.	everything went very smoothly.

I enjoyed my stay here though think there are places that are better value for money. Charging 500 baht for staying an extra three hours seemed extreme and 200 baht for the pick up from the airport (which by the way didn t turn up!) The cottage was full of character though and seconds from the beach. Suited me fine.	Excellent. So quick and prompt. Will definately use again if I come back to Thailand.
