Greg January 2009	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach The service and staff were good, The location was great. The area is nice a quiet and yet just a 10 minute taxi to Chaewang beach and shops. My only complaint is that the rooms are quite dark and color less. My recommendation to the hotel is PAINT at least one wall with COLOR. Also a shower curtain with Color would be nice too. I also think that they should supply free wireless to their guests. The hotels next door do!	I like Sawadee, com, the service was good!

Johan 2009-05-29	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Very pleasant stay! We were in a seaside bungalow; the standard was decent enough (even though the poolside rooms looked newer) and the bungalow is right by the water. The food in the restaurant is excellent and very cheap - perhaps breakfast is a bit uninspired, but it gets the job done. The beach itself is beautiful and the staff are friendly and helpful. One word of warning, though: there are plenty of dogs here! They re usually just a nuisance, they beg at the tables or want to play - but there s at least one big fight every day where they growl, snarl, bite, and just battle it out right on the beach. A lot of guests were scared and if you re afraid of dogs then perhaps you should go elsewhere. The problem isn t exclusive to Thongtakian Resort, all the hotels on the beach seem to have their own stray dogs. At one time there were eight of them running around and the beach really is quite small. So beware.	Online booking worked like a charm!

Miss Ebony Carroll 2009-04-28	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach We had a wedding booked in Chaweng and needed a place for us and our guests to relax and unwind and found Thongtakian the perfect little place for us. We had 20 people stay and with the wine glass bay, the bar/restaurant by the beach, clean and comfortable rooms we all had a fantastic time. We left the hotel for 3 nights to hit the full moon party and couldn t wait to come back to the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere of this resort for an extended stay. I would and have recommended Thongtakian to friends and all who will listen. I ll be back!

The beach is lovely, not very good for swimming because its quite shallow, even at high tide. But its perfect for kids! The bungalows are very simple and get cleaned every day. Nice little pool. Watt, the receptionist is gorgeous! Helps whenever he can! Service in the restaurant is sometimes slow and not very friendly. Altogether a nice place, possibly a bit overpriced.	Great!

The bunglow however could really use something on the walls to give it some needed charm. Location on Samui is ideal, being just between both Chaweng and Lamai beaches, and is really intimate and quiet in the evenings. Will probably stay there again.	no worries!

Anonymous Australian Family of 5 2009-01-10	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Thong Ta Kian is a great resort. We loved all the staff who were very helpful. The rooms were good value - we had a poolside room. Pool was lovely and beach great - quiet and good for families. While the bathroom seemed a little leaky and had slow drainage in the shower, the daily cleaning meant that we didn t notice anything untoward there. We ate at their cafe every day. We did order fresh mussels and king prawns on our last night which were lovely but there may have been a miscommunication about cooking and timing as I think the mussels had been precooked (perhaps in the past hour) as they weren t hot. We had been packing and they possibly misunderstood when we were coming to eat etc. We loved their massage and beauty staff at the beach. I had a pedicure, foot scrub and massage and my 8yr old daughter had her hair braided and toe-nails painted. We would come again some time if we are planning another trip to Koh Samui.	Mr Sun was very helpful and prompt at replying to my emails and answering questions. I highly recommend using Sawadee.com to book Thailand accommodation.
Ian M 2009-01-05	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Nice Hotel on a cosy beach away from the crowds of Chaweng or Lamai. You can easily get into the towns if you hire a scooter. Stayed in a pool side room which had everything we needed. nice relaxing atmosphere in the hotel and the management are very trusting. Although the weather was not too great for our stay, I really enjoyed the hotel and location. Recommended.	Very efficient. Would use again.

The beach is lovely and secluded and it s cheap enough to hire a scooter to visit Chaweng or Lamai. The breakfast was good and filling and staff friendly. Would recommend it and would visit there again.	Well organised,safe and efficient booking service including pick up through the hotel all organised via internet.
Samoylenko Natalia 2008-12-28	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Мы жили в бухте Thongtakian Beach, которая находится между пляжами Чавенг и Ламай и отель наш назывался Thongtakian Resort, выбрали осознанно и по совету Антона из Asiahotels.ru и конечно же не пожалели, очень красивое место, в бухте всего 5 отелей народу мало, вечером тихо тусовки нет, но если надо пожалуйста на Чавенг 15 мин и там. Рекомендую если не жить то хотя бы заехать и прогуляться в этой бухте - находится она если от Чавенга ехать в сторону Ламая сразу недалеко от бара Cliff, недалеко от него и ресторан с морепродуктами Seefood, всё это с левой стороны вдоль берега, по карте легко найти зная ориентир главное не проехать мимо, так как с дороги не совсем приметно выглядят отели находящиеся в этой бухте. Отель как на картинке небольшой, много зелени, ухоженная территория, есть бассейн, питание не очень, у нас были только завтраки, скажу так мы на них ходили пару раз ни чего праздничного, если хотите поспать, то ради такого завтрака не стоит вставать, хотя кому как. Очень вежливый персонал, номер у нас был не в бунгало а тот что подороже в 2-х этажном корпусе всё достоино, вообщем, при соотношении цены и качества. Байки брали при отеле, так как это удобнее было для нас, не надо паспортные данные, депозит просто платишь за сутки и берёшь ключи, а вообще в Тайланде с этим проблем нет, кто хочет сэкономить берут байк сразу на неделю - это дешевле, а если поискать то есть места где байк можно взять за 150 бат в сутки. Недалеко от отеля в сторону Чавенга есть хороший ресторан Seefood, отличный выбор морепродуктов всё самое свежее прямо в больших аквариумах выбираешь то что нравится и делаешь заказ.	Если доверять бронирование отелей кому-нибудь, то только Asiahotels.ru ! Качественно и дешево.
POLI Frederic 2008-12-14	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Simple hotel, poolside rooms are very nice and clean, however miss some features like phone and safe. Staff very friendly. The pool is small but OK. Breakfast simple but good and the beach is very nice. Recommended	have booked a pick up service at the airport which was confirm by sawadee, but nobody was there, very disapointed!!!

KD from USA 2008-08-04 until 2008-08-07	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach The staff was very helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. This resort is located on a quieter beach, so it s good for people who like to sleep early and don t miss the activity on Chaweng or Lamai beaches. We chose to rent a scooter bike to get around, so if you re not comfortable with learning how to do that, you may want to pick a resort at Chaweng since there s more to do within walking distance. Thongtakian also arranged for a kayaking tour of Angthong Nat l Park. The restaurant on the beach was excellent and always made each dish fresh. There was internet for free in the office, and a convenience store on hand for water and snacks. Breakfast had all the essentials: tea/coffee, toast, cereal, eggs, sausages etc. There are three other resorts on this beach so we also ate at their restaurants, but Thongtakian s was the best in my opinion. :) We stayed in the beach bungalow which was right on the beach and was its own separate hut. It was a simple but very comfortable room with a big bed. We didn t see any bugs or vermin even after inspecting the whole room. I was extremely satisfied with the wonderful time we had at Thongtakian.	Very easy to use. Would strongly recommend using Sawadee to book
Ralph Zucker 2008-07-25 until 2008-08-01	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach You can spend more money and get a fancier room in a fancier hotel with more facilities, but no matter how much more money you spend you won t find a place with better service or a friendlier atmosphere. My family and two other families spent a week there and had a wonderful time. The area wasn t congested like many other areas of the island and the beach was never crowded since it s private and only used by 3 small resorts. Would stay there again without hesitation.	Booking went without a hitch. No complaints. Would use them again.

L accueil est aggréable, le bungalow proche de la mer offrait un intérieur simple mais spacieux, avec 1 lit double et 1 simple. Les petits déjeuners sont de qualités, et nous prenions plaisir lors de nos repas sur les restos de la plage. La piscine est plutôt de taille moyenne mais de toute façon, on passe sont temps sur la plage. Parfait pour un séjour de durée moyenne, et vraiment économique.	Perfect.

Maxia Antonio 2008-07-12 until 2008-07-18	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Raccomando questo hotel a tutti, sopratutto l ala nuova vicino alla piscina(piccola ma molto carina), la spiaggia è bellissima ed il servizio molto cortese, la colazione è al tavolo su ordinazione alla carta e non a buffet, ma è molto buona! il responsabile Chee è molto gentile e si occuperà del transfert da e per l aeroporto(500 bath) e per il noleggio deimotorini o dell auto( noi abbiamo preso una Yaris nuova con il cambio automatico a 1000 bath al giorno)! Il soggiorno è stato bellissimo e l incantevole spiaggia con i servizio massaggi sotto l palme la ciligina sulla torta!!!!!	il servizio è stato ottimo e puntuale, sicuramente farò ricorso nuovamente a sawadee.com per le mie prenotazioni

We, a family of four (two teenage girls), stayed in two sea side rooms close to the beach for 12 days and loved every minute. Roms were ordinary (pool side rooms are better) but the location was fantastic. Garden surroundings, a calm beach, a nice little beach restaurant and very serviceminded staff made our stay perfect. The manager and his staff will help you with everything that you can think of. Two must do: enjoy the very skilled massage team close to the beach restaurant and eat at The Cliff just nearby. We will be back.	Perfect!
Liew Booi Har 2008-07-10 until 2008-07-13	Thongtakian Resort, Thongtakian Beach Is my 1st time stay-in Koh Samui n will recommend the resort to anyone...Good location between Chaweng n Lamai Beach.Actually,i already reserved Garden Bungalow for 3 pax.Unfortunately,the air-conditioned was out of order.So,the person-in-charge allow us to stay-in Poolside Room without extra charge.The staff n people there quite friendly n always greet Sawadee ka n Ko Ban Ka ..Breakfast is good but not in buffet style.Just few step to beach- we don t miss by try Thai massage which near the beach.Very satisfied- their service n the environment too.We quite enjoyed there.

We booked it on the internet for three nights and we found everything was perfect with excellent service, lovely room and good food right on the beach-bar&restaurant (Thai home cooking), so we decided to stay, in the end 11 nights. Breakfast was also good, you can choose out of the menue. The beach maybe isn t everyone s because of the corals, but with white soft sand, quiet and really beautiful. This is great value for the money. Recommendation !!!

The rooms were very nice, always clean and had a sense of freshness about them. The secluded beach had no more than 30 people at any time. The restaurant had good food at low prices and you can get massage on the beach just next to resort for almost no cost. The staff was very helpful and genuinely nice. If you re looking for a relaxed, secluded place with a fine grained white sand beach this is what you re looking for! The pool was also really nice. Next time I go to Koh Samui this is where I ll stay! Highly recommended!!

Food was great and shares a nice beach with one other hotel. Easy to motorbike to from Chaweng and Lami and far enough away from the hustle if you want to be away from it. Room was ok, only cleaned every 2nd day though! Thanks for having us!	No problems!

Silver beach is by far the most peaceful beautiful beach on the island and the best part...its all yours if you stay at Thongtakian. No one else goes there except for the people staying at these resorts. Perfect! The restaurant food on the beach was SUPERB, Thai home cooking.. and cheap! No one bothers you..you can rent scooters & get what ever you like whenever you like. Its a good location...I recommend you stay here and only here! The ONLY thing wrong is that the shower overfloes if you stay in the shower too long.PS. Stay in the new rooms by the swimming pool..they are clean, brand new, all you need.	No complaints. Sawadee was very reliable and collected us from the airport on time. Would book through them again.

The room is simple and tidy, not exactly like its picture, but nice and clean enough for us. The beach is seconds away so it s very convenient as well. The little restaurant serves delicious food but stops service in the afternoon. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it very much	very effecient, replied to my email request within 24 hrs.

We were four people and had two rooms one beside the other, near the beach as we requested. We booked from the 29th of February and as we couldn t catch the plane at this date, we arrived there on the 1st of March and they kindly hadn t charged us the day we weren t there. We found everything really nice...the entire place is clean and very well arranged. People are also very nice. It s just a pity that the beach bar closes so early because we would have loved to stand there in the evening. The breakfast was perfect and the coffee really good. The swimming pool is also really clean but just a bit small to swimm in it and no place around to stand. Anyway we ve really enjoyed this place and would recommend it and would also returned there if we have the opportunity to go to Koh Samui again...we hope...

Everything you need was in the room, but the bed was a little hard for me. I want to go there again. It was a VERY beautiful beach with sand, little stones in the water, but it was ok. Massage on the beach. Nice people was working in the little kitchen on the beach. BUT it closed 6 pm. You had a bigger kitchen in the receptionbuilding. Good food. Cheap ! And it was clean and beautiful around the bungalows. A gardenman was always there, cutting. I will recommend this Resort.	No problem with booking.
