i actually stayed at Al s Resort twice during the same vacation (before and after the full moon party). The rooms are OK...I stayed in a garden courtyard for four nights -right next to the beach -room 101) and then in one of the newer rooms -332 for two nights. I think the newer rooms are nicer...two minute walk to the beach instead of 10 seconds. The staff is marginal at best. The breakfast is fine. I only went twice, so I did not get bored of the food. The location is perfect. Right in the heart of Central Chewang, but somehow incredibly quiet. The Tops supermarket is next door, which is terrific as well.

Enjoyed our stay. However, the hotel could use a face-lift all over. The room was dark, the bathroom didn t look like the pictures AT ALL and smelled disgusting most of the time. The staff doesn t speak or understand english very well, and it led to a lot of misunderstandings with wake up-calls, food and drink orders etc. The restaurant is really bad, and the breakfast buffeet was full of flies. OK low-budget hotel, but we re not coming back to Al s resort.

very good hotel, room are normal, location is excellent, very good staff, near to beach and all night life and shopping area. nothing to say negative, very need clean and wonderful resort, we will come definatly again if we visit samui next time, no need find any other location, pool is on beach and also in centre,

About the hotel:
This is our second stay at Als, it has one of the best locations on Chaweng, we stayed in the villa suite for the price I think the room could be updated it seemed a little old compared to the new villa s which looked a lot better although they are at the back of the resort. Breakfast could be better as we stayed 12 days and generally it was was the same food each day. Special thanks to the cleaning staff as our room was always spotless. Regards to Pom and staff for a very pleasant stay see you next year.

It was a wonderful stay as we got the new Garden View rooms. Very clean and staffs are friendly. My 3 other friends and wifes enjoyed their stay. Only one things, the breakfast is not that great as we ate the same food for 3 days. You should change the menu everyday.
