John Abel 2008-11-02	Al's Hut, Chaweng Beach The location is great - right on the beach. The breakfast buffet can also be recommended. The huts are old and could do with a bit of maintenance. Our door kept sticking and the mosquito netting was broken in many places - no so good when they have mosquito repellent as part of the mini-bar items :-) So in summary - basic accomodation with a tonne of character with in the heart of the action. Recommended to budget travellers.	Hassle free booking - can t complain at all.
Paul James 2008-10-03	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Stayed for 7 days. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The huts were usual fare basic but clean and practical. Also the airport transfer was good at 300B rather than the often 400B hotels charge. The only problem is the season/price dates are not aligned with others so watch the price increases as your trip progresses.	Very simple and efficient.
SONG YUAN YUAN 2008-10-01	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach All the things in this small and lovely hotel were nice for us, no matter the friendly person and fabulous beach view just outside the hotel. The location is near the downtown Chaweng Beach but without the noise. We may easily to find out the exchange shop and tourist information centre, also there was a very budgeted small restaurant just outside the gate of the hotel. We love to stay in this hotel and enjoy the wonderful two days. We will come back once we re visit Samui island later.	Very easy and user friendly.
MARTIN SIGNER 2008-09-30	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach We stayed the third time in Al s Hut Bungalow on Chaweng Beach in Samui. Very nice, friendly people, good service. We will come again. Bungalows are nice, close to the beach, but also close to the party scenery (music in the night). But we like it and will come back, of course.	Perfect. Everything was ok. Will join your service next time again.
Lauren Fischer 2008-08-24	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Centrally located in Chaweng, which was great. Rooms were clean and nicely maintained. Even the farthest huts were a minute s walk from the beach. Definitely recommend Al s.	Very easy.

The bungalow was exactaly what we wanted, clean, hot water, air con, tv, a wardrobe and fridge. It was a bit small if you were staying for any longer than a few days. Breakfast was included and was good. The staff were friendly and the room was cleaned daily and towels changed daily.	Quick easy, no probs.
Sara Keevers 2008-05-18 until 2008-05-19	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach super cute bungalows set in a garden style resort. the staff are friendly and the security guard delivers you to your front door. excellent restuarant out on the beach and massage parlour too. right next door to the ark bar which is a cool place to hang out for dinner and drinks for all ages and still bearable to sleep through the night....this is a gorgeous low budget accomodation. its quite small but i dont spend time in my hotel room on holidays. Air con was a life saver and the mini bar was cheaper than the restuarant we cleared it out every day lol....we went back for the two extra nights because the price couldnt be beat and the location is central!	very helpful.. thank u
Reg Caines & Geoff Cox 2008-05-07 until 2008-05-21	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach The rooms at Al s Hut are very small as other reviews have stated, you have to crawl into and out of bed from the bottom of mattress, no room to get in at side of bed, no drawers to store clothes, we transferred to Al s Resort (owned by the same people) the very next day, rooms there are great. Everything else at Al s Hut is fine, good breakfast, good bar and right on beach, (except beach is a bit rocky). Al s Hut is a bit noisey with the music playing all around. Al s Resort is the place to stay.	We have used this booking service before and have found it to be excellent, you get replies from them straight away with any queries whatsoever.
Kyung Mi 2008-03-29 until 2008-04-04	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Bit too downmarket. The room was small and shower was substandard. We changed to Al s Resort which was double the price but great rooms and good setting. Staff were helpful and curteous. It was a great holiday

Breakfast was nice. Clean towels every day for beach also. Chawang beach wasn t as clean as Lamai Beach - Al s Hut s = Good.
Steffen, Jessi, Bruni, Peter, Stefan 2008-03-08 until 2008-03-17	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach We had a very nice time at this location. Everything was at least as good as we expected to be. Small but clean and smart bungalows. Beautyful environment and friendly staff. The restaurant offers very good meals and even breakfast (till 10:30 am) was fine with nearly everything you desire. Very good combination of being near at the beach and staying in the middle of the heart of chaweng. No problems at all. Would stay there everytime again.	Excellent

Very clean rooms, very friendly staff, very good food etc. Simply Perfect Holidays!	The booking was very easy over the internet. No problems at all during the entire booking process. Kevin Healey 2008-02-23 until 2008-02-25	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Only stayed 2 nights.Location s ideal if you want to be in the centre of everything on Chaweng Beach.This is BASIC accommodation but probably ideal for someone backpacking .Rooms are dark inside,Double bed takes up most of the room space,airconditioning in the room is adequate,shower was okay but when it rained, water started running down the wall inside the bathroom.Oh yeah,and you are right on the flight path to Samui Airport,so close in fact you ll think the plane s landing at the hotel! I personally wouldn t stay here again but my 20 year old daughter did and thought it was great.	Very good service as usual.
Michelle Marina 2008-02-06 until 2008-02-10	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Arriving at Al s Huts after travelling for hours was a relief. We found the place to be axactly if not more than what we expected. I would definitely stay there again and not to mention recommend anyone to stay there. The service was great facilities enough and location spot on. a few steps from the beach to a minutes walk to the bustle of the city centre what more could you want.	The booking of the accommodation was a bit of a struggle with the language barrier but all in all done at the end of the day
cigdem guvenis 2008-02-03 until 2008-02-06	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach What can i say this place for me was 10 out of 10 perfect the only thing is if you have sensitive ears and like to go to bed early then this place is not for you as the music from the clubs may keep you awake other than that its a very safe place to stay and the staff or always friendly and helpfull hands down the best place to stay in Koh Samui	Fantastic had no problems would use them again

The only problem was a nearby bar on the main road - the Bar Solo , which pumped out techno bass until 6:30 am. Enquiring I found out the place is owned by a local policeman, which is why nothing is done about it.	efficient, no problems

Matthew Lightbourn 2007-12-26 until 2008-01-01	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Al s Hut was a lovely clean place to stay on the Chewang Beach. Very friendly staff and the food was great at their restaurant on the sand. They even found out about Steph s birthday and they put a suprise birthday cake in the mini bar saying Happy Birthday The only downside was that breakfast isn t great but then, we later went to places that were three times the price and breakfast still wasn t very good so I guess they re only offering the same standard as anyone else. Enough with the eggs already! Very pleasant stay, highly recommended.

This is an OK place if you want to be right in the middle of the action, but if you like an early night be warned the music in the nearby bars goes on until the early hours. Nevertheless, a good budget option with TV, fridge and hot shower.	Excellent as always.

Really recommend the Bungalows. Only comment was the Fruit at breakfast was not as fresh as it good have been but hey they will cook you scrambled eggs if you like! Friendly staff . Will definately go back.

Price is a little too high in view of the size of the room,although clean and cosy.However,the air-condition unit is noisy.As for the front desk reception,a few of them show their sour face and became unresponsive to request especially after when you don t rent a bike from them because they don t have the bike you wanted and when you don t take the tour package from them because price is higher than you pay for outside vendor.The restaurant staffs doesn t speak a little english at all.For this price,I would not want to stay in this resort again.	sawadee provide the most efficient service in terms of hotel booking and information.Will want to make reservation through sawadee again the next trip to Samui or anywhere in Thailand.
Morten Nielsen 2007-09-01 until 2007-09-21	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Fourth time in Samui..third stay in Al s Hut. Every stay has been great. But this time it was even better than the two first stays. There has been some replacements in the staff, which has been for the better. Very friendly staff alround. Everything runs smoothly, but in a very relaxed kind of way. Nice to see that they are constantly trying to improve every aspect of running the resort. One thing that was not ok was the dishes in the restaurant containing beef. The beef meat was of very poor quality and it was so tough that it was almost impossible to chew. This has not been a problem in the past. A shame because we liked to eat at Al s restaurant on the beach. Thanks to the staff at Al s Hut for making one more stay in Samui memorable. We shall return.	Outstanding...as always

The rooms are quite small and might not be able to accomodate a 3rd person. Even for 2 people it was quite cramped. Other than that the rooms, bed, bathroom and linen were all clean and a great bargain for the low price. If all you need is a place to store your luggage and just sleep for the night..then this is a great place to stay... considering everything you need is a stone s throw away from the hotel.	Booking service was excellent with almost immediate replies to any of our queries. Maybe there can be more clarification on the details regarding deposits and refund as I found out in some cases there is no refund at all (even in low season).

Also cheap room key replacement, we lost ours and had a locksmith fix the problem, in less time than it would take to get an ambulance in Australia! The plus s are that the massage beds are the best I saw on Chaweng Beach and the restaurant was pretty good. Average breakfast. This place is fairly quiet, except watch out they are still doing construction right next door which can make things very noisy. Overall, nice but much better value elsewhere on chaweng beach	No problem

But I felt very disappointed on the room itself, it is very small, hardly to move around by 2 persons between the desk and bed. Bathroom had bad odor and small. The evening diner set-up is excellent and romantic, but if one is looking for a quiet and romantic place, it is not the place, because the surrounding hotels are very loud due to they are suitable for backpackers, and loved drinkers, which made the place loud and uncomfortable to quiet couple. Concluded, I don t recommend to any newlywed or romantic couple to be located, but for others are suitable just perfectly.	As for booking service is excellent, I received a prompt and courtesey response.

For people wiht little children (like us), the huts are maybe a little too small. At night you can hear the music coming from the beach which was for us no problem but good to know for people who do mind to hear music late at night. Again: nice and very clean, free beds at the beach. Very nice and helpfull personel. Would recommend it!	perfect

However, quite noisy in the night because too close to the bars! Can hear the base pumpin louder than air condition till 3:30am! The beach is nice, very warm water. However, at the hight of the resort not good for swimming, the water level only reaches the knees. Just a bit further down are nice spots to swim. The resort provides cots for free and a waiter to order drinks etc.. After all, it s a really very nice resort, but because of the noise in the night I won t go there again.	My second time booking with sawadee.com. Fast response on inqueries, smooth booking and payment. Very convenient - will definitely use it again for the next trip to Thailand.

Morten Nielsen 2007-01-02 until 2007-01-14	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach I ve been in Samui 3 times and have stayed on Al s Hut 2 of those times. When I return to Samui, which will be as soon as possible, I will definitely stay at Al s Hut again. The staff is over the top friendly with only a few exceptions. Everything is running smoothly and the beach and massage area doesn’t come any better on the Island. The bungalows are very cosy and the resort area itself is just a very nice place to be. And it’s placed on the best part of Chaweng Beach. The food is good and when the restaurant is set on the beach at night with all the lights, it’s one of the nicest places to be, and not just on Samui, but in the world. I only have one thing beside one or two none service minded waiters and that is the staff’s lack of ability to speak English. It’s such a shame that the knowledge of the English language isn’t better because we would like to talk a lot more with these very friendly and nice people. So Hotel managers “give your employees courses in English” To the staff from Al’s Hut, thank you very much and we will see you again soon.	Simply outstanding
Ali Baronette 2006-12-23 until 2006-12-28	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach It was a disappointment!!! The hotel is not as nice as it looks on the website at all. The receptionist was RUDE, it was almost like we owe her money when we checked in. The taxi and motorcycle rental charges are more expensive than the vendor outside. I tried to ask them some information like how much should I pay for the tuk tuk , they didn t want to give an answer as of we deserve to get rip off since we are tourists/foreigners. The room is REALLY TINY and very dark. And the worst is you can t sleep at night, because of the disco pub on the street, it s got loud speakers banging all night long till like 3 or 4 AM. There is no pool at the hotel,and breakfast is a JOKE! Facilities are old and need cleaning urgently. Though you can walk to the beach in 2 minutes and be in the center of action. I d say if if the room costs only 25 dollars a night, then it is okay to stay there for budget travelers. We stayed there during high season, the room is far over-charged than what it s worth.	No problem.
paul sharp 2006-10-19 until 2006-10-26	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Room ok for the traveller who does not have much luggage. facilities fine, massage by the beach, good food, nice restaurant, friendly staff, bar, clean rooms, mini bar, large bed, could do with more lighting as was quite dimly lit though. shower adequate with hot water and air con. good value but if on a budget, there are cheaper around with similar facilities only not on the beach. in a good location for the night life of green mango and about a 5 min taxi ride to the cheaper, and in a way more interesting, night life near the reggae bar. fantastic bar near there called ME ME BAR, highly recommended, great staff, pool tables, sports TV. If you go there tell the boss, charlie recommended it!	booking very simple and easy, confirmed within 24hrs hours. couldn t be better.

Phillip & Mo 2006-08-21 until 2006-08-24	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Good central location for Chaweng Beach and its town for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Not the best part of the beach, but can easily walk a bit further south for better swimming spots. Somewhat noisy from nearby beach bars, with constant beat going nearly all night (bungalows further from beach might be more quite). The small bungalow was a bit dark inside, but was welcoming and friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Did have to ask about getting some soap and missed drinking water. Good place if you wish to be close to the action and don t mind a few rough edges. Quite nice place.	Convenient, timely, helpful, no problems.
Motta thomas 2006-08-12 until 2006-08-19	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach hotel was unfortunately not as defined in the web. There was no enormous bungalow but very very small ones. The worst was in any case the beach, where it was not possible to take a bath, as there is plenty of rocks and stones. To live the beach you have to move 500 m. right of the hotel beach.	Great, efficient and fast also in case of money refund. I will use for sure again

Mr. Richard Wharton 2006-06-24 until 2006-07-02	Als Hut, Chaweng Beach Me and my 2 friends found AL s Hut to be a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the action. Right on the beach at the north end of chewang and only 2 minutes walk to green mango. The rooms are basic with sat tv,air con and shower room and set in beautiful shaded compound with tall trees. The only negative comment i d make about this place is the constant harrassment by the beach boys selling there wares whilst your trying to chill on the beach,I aknowledge this as nothing to do with AL s Hut but it can be a pain in the ass at times. If it s a cheap place in a good location on chewang i d recommend AL s Hut.	No problem with sawadee.com ,fast and efficiant booking. ive used them before and i d use them again

At breakfast they like to clean the lids and dust the buffet table rather than help people if you ask for something.Bangalow is to small,beds uncomfortable.	No problems. recomended.
