We have been staying at this hotel for 7 days. This wonderful place was absolutely close to our whishes. This hotel seems to be very cosy, comfortable and friendly. We felt ourselves like on a beautifull island, a peace of wide nature. Instead of it there was a good spa service. We whish good luck and success to the staff and all hotel team. And we want to say you big russian thanks - SPASIBO!!!

Your service was incredible as it always is.

We absolutely loved Sundays Sanctuary. It definitely lived up to it s name it is a complete sanctuary away from the maddness of many other places on Samui. We had a great 4 night stay and wished it could have been longer. It was the end of our 3 week honeymoon and our room was lovely. Very modern, clean, minimalist asian style with extremely comfy big bed but also very rustic with thatched roofs, lush gardens and balcony view of the pool. It was so chill there and the staff are lovely & funny. The restaurant food & bar was outstanding and cheap with generous servings. Great traditional Thai dishes. Even though we were just around the corner from all the restaurants of Fishermans Village we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the resort. Great pool. Just a very friendly and laid back place where you can do what you want. It is definitely for those wanting to get away from it all. It s a little off the main road but we hired a bike from the resort and got our own way around which made it much cheaper than getting cabs. Free internet too. Check it out - we will definitely be back.

Impeccable as always - thanks

This place was great, it was our final stay before we returned back to Melbourne and it truely was a sanctuary. We stayed 4 nights and were one of about 4 couples in the whole resort. While the room was basic, it was very clean and the people that ran the resort were very nice and accomodating. We ate at the restuarant every night as the food was some of the best we had in Thailand and was very reasonably priced. The swimming pool was large and quite private as there was a wall of trees between it and the restaurant. It is situated in Bo Phut, so probably a 15-20 minute motorbike ride to Chaweng Beach - and Bo Phut beach itself is not somewhere you would go to, to swim and lay about. If you are looking for a really quiet nice place to relax and chill out I would highly recomend Sunday s Sanctuary Resort - oh and Mammut the dog is incredibly cute as well.

Fantastic Service - no Problems and have used a number of times.

What an beautiful place! We really enjoyed our stay at Sundays Sanctuary Resort, which is surrounded by tropical gardens. There were some constuction works next to the resort, but it didn t bother your stay. The garden bungalows are spacious and clean and the staff very helpful and kind. We can defenitely recommend this place.

Hotel very good value for money, although a good 10 minute drive from the busy night life of Chaweng. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Rooms spotless.

Wow! This is an excellent place and was the accommodation highlight our our 3 week trip to Thailand (we stayed 4 nights here and wished it had been longer). Very, very beautiful with excellent spacious rooms (we stayed in the rooms with garden view, great tv channels and their spa s lovely shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It has an amazing, huge swimming pool made to look like a jungle pool and gorgeous gardens - everything is green there. We had a very relaxing, peaceful stay and the staff is wonderful. Also it is not far from the charming main street next to the beach. The free internet offered in the relaxing main reception/dining/chill out area was an exra bonus. The also have WIFI service. We only used the steam room at their spa, but the other areas look great. We moved to this resort spa when we found Lamai to be too noisy and messy - Bohput is much nicer, and this place cost less too. All I can say is Wow!

A very clean and modern feeling hotel/resort slightly off the beaten track, offering a quiet room with plenty of comfort and feel. The black infinity pool is amazing! Enjoy a stay here with friendly staff and relaxing vibe. Recommended highly with excellent value for money, taxi choice is a little limited unless you take a wonder down to the main road.

Sawadee have surpassed my expectations with a quick and efficient service that makes travelling stress free.

Very good rates = great value for this hidden gem. However, due to the off-site location, suggest that you would have gotten your own transport ready. Wonderful spa for the promo price. Suggest that you stay at the villas at the front of the resort. The wing for the normal rooms are just a little spooky for me especially when the whole block s empty.

We spent 9 nights here from boxing day over new year and it was a lovely place to relax into our holiday. The staff are really helpful and friendly,t he dog Lamut is gorgeous - food was really good. For the price this is a nice oasis in a pretty overpriced touristy island, really good value. Slight drawback is the distance from anything its a short walk up a dirt road, as it was raining most of the time we were there it got pretty muddy - hiring some kind of transport is pretty crucial here.

Really nice good value for money. Not too far away from Chaweng but still far enough to escape. would stay again if returned to Koh Samui. Lots of mosquitoes and no hot water for showers is only complaint.

We stayed at the Sundays for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The people were extremely warm, helpful and accommodating. Food was good as well. And we love the little hotel dog Lamut! We have stayed in many resorts in other part of the world but this was the only hotel that gave us the Home Away From Home feeling. We really enjoyed our stay at Sundays and hope to be back soon.

Very prompt and efficient.

What a Great Hotel, so Zen!

After staying at luxury hotels on our honeymoon we decided to stay at a less expensive hotel. This is truly genuine. The staff are very friendly. Nice light settings, nice music on in the reception. Good food to a very good price. The stairs and the villas or bungalows are not very pram or child friendly though. It is also quite a lot of mosquitos everywhere. Apart from that this is totally worth staying at. The chair on the balcony is a plus. Very cute!

This hotel was the gem of our holiday. Lovely atmsophere. Quite artsy, homey and very relaxing. Wonderful pool and the bungalows were spacious and stylish. Such good value! Only thing is you have to be prepared to take taxis to most places as quite a way out (this was not a problem for us). The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We went to the spa there which turned out to be a real treat.

Good- no problem

An oasis of calm amidst a bustling Boput. Very friendly staff caring for all your needs. Excellent thai food in the restaurant for a decent price. Some construction noise and an occasional foul smell at the pool were the only down points. Very nice spa.

Was a bit dissapointed with the location, aware that it is a 15min walk to the beach but this is along a very busy road. There was contruction work next door which we were not warned about and they would start at 7:30am and work 7 days a week. The staff however are very friendly and the service was good. The breakfasts were lovely and the restaurant meals were good value. The pool is lovely, although sun loungers would be better than deck chairs. The bungalow was very well decorated and comfortable.

Very fast and efficient

This is the best hotel I ve ever stayed at, can t believe that the price was so low. During 3 weeks in Thailand we never stayed at a hotel like this, even though we payed much more. The only thing was that is was a 15 min drive to chaweng. But the fisherman village was only a 10 min walk. Would love to go back!!

Tranquil environment. Very friendly and helpful staff. Occaisional whiff of drains near the swimming pool. Lovely garden environment. Not such a romantic approach to Sunday Spa, over rough road etc.

This was our 2nd stay at Sunday s. Owners are friendly and have an adorable daughter and a friendly dog. Thanks to the 3 ladies in the front, very helpful and friendly. Pool is lovely. Food is really good at hotel. A bit of construction going on next door to resort but this did not really bother us. Spa is good. Only problem was cleaning ladies did not restock water/tea/coffee every day and clean towels were only returned later during the day. Will defintely return. Thanks to all at Sundays. This place is a real gem, well worth the stay.

Sundays has everything needed for the perfect chill out break...well designed pool villas,(clean and modernist inside but really old school beach hut looking from the outside) great open air pool (you really feel as if you are swimming in the middle of the jungle) fantastic spa (according to my new wife) and really friendly staff. The food is pretty good too and they have at least a 100 DVDs for you to watch free of charge. The only negatives are that it is a pretty long (15 minutes.), hot and dusty walk to Bophut town. But as that is the only activity we did all day, it wasn t so bad. I am sure that once this place gets better known the prices will triple. So go soon! Great for finishing off a visit to the island.

Excellent service, had to leave one of my hotels a couple of nights early, and they sorted me a refund before I had even checked out.

This hotel is very good location for fishermans village literally 10 mins walk. Two people are put in a bungalow each. The staff are so friendly and food excellent (better than some local cuisine. It is like a sanctuary and you do have to walk up a dark road but it gives you a country feel. My honest comments to the Manager are I think the hotel looks unfinished, they just need a few more finishing touches and it would be perfect. There is also building going on around the place during the day but it didn t keep us awake during the night. It is very dark at night and could do with more lighting, I wouldn t recommend for disabled people. My only big grudge is the bathroom please lighten it up dark grey, it is very open and you have to keep the door shut for the mosquitos, if this was more closed in it would have been more of a pleasant experience. Also the mirror is positioned in the wrong place with the plugs and we had to buy a small mirror to dry our hair. The pool is nice but very dark. There are only a few people in the hotel 11 bedrooms and I liked the fact we were often the only people at the swimming pool and in the hotel as i can t stand busy hotels. It was definatey homely. The staff do go home quite early and it would have been nice if the bar had been kept open later. I would definately recommend for couples who would like to get away from it all but please let the manager know my comments and I do hope he will sort them as it could be such a lovely place to stay and I am more likely to come back but they need to sort out just a few issues and it would be paradise.

Sundays Sanctuary is indeed a sanctuary. Perfect place to relax. The bungalows were clean and well decorated. There was a bit of construction going on around the place but to be honest, the atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed the background noise wasn t a problem at all. I would have liked the addition of hammocks on the terrace to go for that all-out relaxed vibe! I would recommend this to anyone wanting a get-away from it all holiday. We did go down to the beach on an evening which was a 10 minute stroll or 200baht taxi - not a problem. Did try the beach one daytime but found it hard to get a sunlounger and also, much preferred the pool to be honest which surprised me - I thought I was a complete beach lover. I guess Sundays managed to change that.

Great service, good communication and very easy.

This little hotel is nothing short of outstanding in every way. Our room was beautifully decorated and huge with lovely stone bath and shower. The pool area is beautiful and it was difficult to tear ourselves away to go to the beach with such lovely surroundings right in front of our room. Our meal in the restaurant was delicious. The staff and service were were fantastic. Very highly recommended indeed.

Great hotel, we ll definitely be returning if we go back. Not only was it nicely tucked away, it was close enough to everything we wanted to see (or a scooter ride away, anyway). Sanctuary is the right word, the cottages are surrounded by lots of plants, making you feel you re in the middle of a rainforest (accentuated by the frogs and lizards you see scurrying around occasionally). The plants also hide the other cottages nicely. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was great too. Plus when we decided to stay in one night as my wife wasn t feeling well, there was a plethora of DVDs available to rent, free. The only problem was that there was building work going on outside the resort, but this had little impact on us. During the day we were mostly gone and at night the works were stopped. The fact this is the worst thing I can think of just shows how much we enjoyed it. Didn t try the spa services, unfortunately. Very satisfied!

Positives:- The hotel is nice and clean. Very peaceful atmosphere with a Zen touch. Internet is free... Nice Steam Room. Also can borrow DVDs to watch. Had an enjoyable stay. Negatives:- 250B for the auto bike was a bit too much. The Spa pool was not working when we we were there; supposedly due to no rain ?? No Hot water for shower - even tho we highlighted it to the reception. Road to hotel not well lit and has holes.

Cannot recommend the Sundays highly enough. The resort itself is fantastic; very relaxing. But the real credit goes to the attentive and friendly staff, who really go out of their way to help. The food and accomodation is of a very high standard, and the resort offers real value for money. Superb resort - only 10 bungalows so always quiet.

Booking service was straightforward and quick. SLightly misleading though as I was told through Sawadee that the resort did not offer an airport taxi service, and that I had to books Sawadee s taxi. Not a problem, but our taxi failed to show up to take us back to the airport (and I had already paid) and the hotel does offer an airport pick up, so be aware.

I had a very relaxing time at Sundays. The accomodation was excellent and all of the staff very friendly and helpful. The flora surrounding the accomodation and swimming pool is very well established which increases the sense of privacy. The area in which the wraps, massages and steams etc is very well designed and concealed within the small complex. The only fly in the ointment was Koh Samui s perennial problem of construction noise; it is virtually unavoidable on KS given its uncoordinated building boom. That said, at Sundays it was minimal as the heavy work on another lot was complete. If I go back to KS I will go back to Sundays.

Fast. No problems.

We had a lovely time at this resort. The room was great and the bed extremely comfy. The pool was really good as it s pretty big so good for swimming, we had it to ourselves most of the time. The service was great and the staff very friendly. We ate at the restaurant quite a bit and the good was really good. The only slight down side was quite a bit of noise from building work opposite, hopefully this will be finished soon though.

We had a wonderfull and pleasant stay at Sundays. The bungalows were spacious and absolutly comfortable. The staff was great and very very friendly. Its a 15 min. walk to the nearest beach but we didn t mind that really. Due to low season, there were, close to the resort, constructionworkers busy during the day but since we were out during daytime it didn t bother us that much. Regards Judith & Wendy

Lovely friendly staff. Don t be put off by the photo of the pool, the phto does not do it justice. Its the best pool i ve ever swam in, pool beds I think need to be replaced. Lovely shade by the pool and there is plenty of sun. Excellent food, especially the Thai food and really good value for money. Had manicure and pedicure at the spa, really professional. The beds in the rooms were extremely comfortable. If you are looking for peace and a place to relax, then this is the place to visit. I stayed 12 days and wished it was longer. Not really a place for small kids, the bathrooms were far too rustic for me, must have been a male who designed them as we had far too many large gheko s which my 7 year old daugher did not enjoy. Get rid of the bath s as I don t think anybody uses them, but on the whole it was a real pleasant stay and we will definately stay again. Thank you to all the staff at Sunday s.

I ve used Sawadee a few times. Quick, professional and very safe to use. Well done again Sawadee!

We were a little worried when the taxi driver couldn t find the hotel and then when we saw the road going up, but it was worth the search. A jewel hidden in the jungle! What a quiet, restful little place. We had the swimming pool almost completely to ourselves, breakfast was great and the room nice and clean. Only thing was the safe was not attached to the wall! But, we never really felt the need for it, we always felt so safe there. The walk to town is about 10 minutes and good for burning a few calories before enjoying dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants at the beach! Had a great time and would recommend this hotel.

The resort is set in beautiful surroundings, great care has been taken when building not to disturb the trees and they have built around them.! A very quiet location, and you should hire some transport for a few days to check out some of the beautiful beaches on the island. The food was excellent both in choice and price, although the breakfast menu was very limited.

Small Bungalow Resort - Lovely and quiet - much privacy. Very nice and modern rooms. Beautiful swimming pool and Spa! Delicious Food! Little bit away from the main road (motorbike recommended). Nice Fishermen village (great dinner posibilities) only a few minutes away. Very obliging staff. A quiet place on Samui and by motorbike only 10 - 15 minutes to touristy places like Chaweng. Negative: preconcerted Taxi service didn´t come (5 am) so we nearly missed the flight!

The approach to the hotel is up a very dusty road with a lot of building work going on but once you reach the resort it is beautiful. The rooms are nicely designed and clean with outdoor bathrooms which are beautiful even if the local wildlife are keen to be in there too! The setting is very green and like a jungle with the beautiful large pool in the centre of the bungalow rooms. The spa is gorgeous - great treatments and so calm. The food is great the staff were very nice and helpful. Free internet access. The beah at Bophut is about a 15 minute walk away down a very busy road but you can get a taxi in five minutes and it is very reasonable. Only downside is that the restaurant shuts at 9pm but this was not so bad for us as we had a toddler to put to bed. Highly recommended.

Very easy - no problem
