Trevor James Doyle 2009-04-30	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach Had a wonderful stay. Staff were so friendly and were so willing to help with any requests. Thanks also to the manager who went out of his way to make our stay so memorable. We would definitely go back.	First class. We had last minute flight changes which changed all our bookings and they arranged all the changes and even got us a refund. Would not book any other way now.

The pool is a stand out very clean and beautiful right against the beach , the restuarant and bar is very good great quality food a little more expensive then others but very good standards . each night the restuarant set up tables on the beach and the atmosphere was very romantic and tranquil this hotel is very good and l will recommend to everyone , the location is on the good side of chaweng beach excellent beach close to shops , yet very quite great staff also.	Sawadee very good service l was always very cautious about booking hoildays over the internet however Sawadee made it so easy .

AYang 2008-02-02 until 2008-02-09	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach The hotel is definitely a bit older than it appears in photos despite renovations in 2007. We didn t get to see the new wing, but our first 2 nights were spent in a Deluxe Seaview which was pretty terrible. The bathroom was not clean when we checked in and even the staff with us looked shocked. The floor was dusty and full of sand (surely this could ve been sweeped away easily!) and the shutter for the window was broken and swinging around. Needless to say, we complained - sadly to 2 very incompetent staff who didn t understand a word of English. We finally spoke to the Reservations Manager on our 2nd day (who I noticed was hanging around the pool sipping drinks every single day) who agreed after some forceful persuasion, to upgrade us to the Iyara Room on our 3rd day since it wasnt available until then. The Iyara Room was heaps better, clean bathroom (thank goodness) and facing the same view. After that, staff seemed to treat us better and were friendlier in general. No complaints about the breakfast in general although the queue for the egg station is generally very long. Most staff were quite professional except for one or two rude ones. The bartender is great, makes amazing daiquiris! All in all, great location (slightly removed from main Chaweng noise and over-crowding) but only 5 minutes walk on the beach or the roads. 711 right at entrance of hotel which is convenient. I would think a hotel charging this rate could provide toothbrushes etc, but it didn t. For the location and Iyara Room (or above) only, I would probably come back.	Went smoothly but think the deposit policy could be amended - lots of other sites offer refund before a certain date.
Stephan 2006-12-29 until 2007-01-05	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach I will never stay at this hotel again...the whole point of staying at a hotel of this stature is to get good service and to be able to relax with no aggrevations.. Every morning i would come down to RELAX at the pool...there were no chairs nor towels avaialable...i will not recommend this hotel to anyone	Great and timely service
Yair 2006-12-08 until 2006-12-12	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights during December. the hotel is perfect! great location near the center but still away from the noise, great rooms, great staff and great beach. our stay was very good and we will definitely recommend the hotel to freind. Our flight home was at 10PM so we checked out from the room at 12PM but the hotel was very nice to give us a room to shower and get organize to our flight with no extra charge. this helped us a lot. Peter Williams 2006-08-03 until 2006-08-16	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach Everything about the hotel is excellent, the postion on the beach is perfect, the de-luxe sea view rooms are very comfortable, food and service are excellent. All in all a very good holiday.	Everything worked smoothly, no problems at all, from making the booking to collection at the airport and arrival at the hotel.
MR DUNCAN WHITING 2006-07-08 until 2006-07-09	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach Only a brief stay of one night but found the room to be of a good standard. No balcony which was a shame as there is a direct sea view. Only the top floor suites have balconies. Staff very friendly. Pool nice and plenty of sunbeds. Well situated for walking distance to Chaweng.
Gordon Mcfadyen 2006-01-29 until 2006-02-10	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach The Iyara is well situated at the north end of Chaweng just on the edge of the main bar and restaurant area making it convenient yet quiet at night. It is comfortable and functional without being luxurious. Its greatest asset is its staff who were friendly and professional throughout and who resolved any minor problems or issues that arose instantly, the mark of a well managed hotel. The whole place was kept spotlessly clean and we fully appreciated the daily change of towels and bed linen, including towels supplied for beach use.	Booking process was easy to use

Staff were always smiling. Exellent food, the best thai massage and beautiful surroundings. Would stay at this hotel the next time we are in Koh Samui!	Sawadee is a very good web site, easy to use and secure paymant.
Serene Fu 2005-09-17 until 2005-09-20	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach Iyara is a beach hotel with a perfect location, since it s located in the quiet northern part of Chaweng. But to my disappointment the beach was that good for swimming, since water tide is low during the season. As I was told, Dec & Jan would be better. For the interior, decor in my beachfront Cabana (Rm 807) was basic but OK, taking into consideration its pricing. My greatest complain went to the shower. Water was weak & hence occasionally hot & cold. I won t return to this hotel again actually mainly because of this water. But you don t care about that, I d recommand you ask for the Cabana Villa No.805 , which is located in its central beachfront.	The use of SMS to welcome & reconfirm everything is great & customer caring. But its prepaid system (actaully it was in my credit card bills before my trip) is obviously not what I prefer.

The feeling in the hotel is more of a city hotel with a nice pool then a secluded resort. So if you are looking for a modern comfortable hotel with good access to chaweng shopping and other activities this is a very good choice. If you looking for a self contained resort where you all the guests in all the meals this is not the place.	Booking service was very coninient and reliable

Our room was very clean and felt new with comfortable beds and crisp white bed linen. We had a beautiful view of the pool and sea, only disapointed there was no balcony with our room but we hadn t specifically requested one. The hotel is on a quieter part of the beach which felt very relaxing. Staff at the Iyara were always smiling and very helpful. Iwould definately stay again.	Very easy to use and all went smoothly.

Particularly impressed as we booked at tsunami time when all travel agents were overloaded with work and most hotels booked up!

The rooms are very beautiful , spacious, clean and exactly like the photos. The food is teriffic, the beach is beautiful clea, with white sands and bluish waters, the pool is lovely. The overall ambience is superb. Among all hotels we saw, this one was one of the finest. One must hire a bike and see the island and not go for the paid tour. One must take the paid tour to Koh Tao & Koh Nangyuan for snorkelling in the blue waters.	Excellent. Very smooth and secure. No trouble. Ovearll sawadee.com is my vote for the best tourism site on the web.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Location for Chewang beach is nice, close to the Nightlife so you can walk but set far enough off the street “No Noise”. Nice beach and pool area. I will definitely stay on my next visit to Samui.	Another , ERROR FREE! travel arrangement with Sawadee !

Nicola Singh 2004-08-20 until 2004-09-03	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel & found the service to be good. We are dubious as to whether we were given the room we booked & paid for however as our sea view was 3rd in line behind a rooftop view & a pool view. The room was large, comfortable & attractive. It was well supplied & housekeeping replaced everything daily. They were also generous with towels. It did take until late afternoon to get our room made up on many occasions which we were not happy about. Addressing this proved impossible due to language restrictions. The only meal we ate in the hotel was breakfast which was a good buffet with excellent waiter service. The pool is not very clean & needs renovating. The only real drawback to staying in this hotel is its position on Chaweng Beach which is northerly. The beach here is not very good. There is a lot of debris in the surf, the water isn t at all inviting & the sand is grubby. My husband & I walked south along the beach for a good 20 minutes each day to find a nice spot. Others did not & lounged in front of the hotel but if you re at all fussy about the quality of your beach & bathing area you may be disappointed. One thing which didn t cause a problem for us but which I think is worth complaining about is the hotel s policy on admitting prostitutes. After over a week in the hotel we took delivery of our information folder & one of the rules & regulations referred to Joiners . It said they were not allowed in the hotel but if the guest insisted then the hotel would take a fee. I am quite disgusted by this. The hotel either allows prostitutes or not. A hotel of this quality should be very firm on keeping them out & if it wants to take a moral tone then it has no right saying ok then but we want a cut. I said as much on my feedback form & urge anyone who agrees with me to complain also.	The reservation service was prompt & efficient.
From California 2004-08-08 until 2004-08-09	Iyara Beach Hotel & Plaza, Chaweng Beach Large, beautiful room and beachside surroundings, right at the end of an outdoor mall if you like to shop. Guest relations was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was average. Overall, a good value.	Sawadee.com is great! No problems with booking and we found the best rates here.
