Helen 2008-10-18	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach Loved it! Really pleased with the great value for money! For $17n.z or 400 thai bht I expected to be sharing a bathroom.But to my delight here I was in a lovely bungelow with my own ensuit and right by the beach! It was great to be so close to the warm sea,as travelling alone I could lock all my belongings in my roon and venture out into the sea. I think it to be a very romantic and quiet place for honeymooners too. So peaceful!Lovely to sit in their cafe overlooking the beach.I had heard Koh Samui would be expensive ,but stoked to find such a resnoble priced resort!	O k. though I had trouble getting info on connecting ferry to flights offered on computor.No one could give me advise,like in some hotels,so gave up in the end and spent a night on the bus,then ferry.Do not want to do that again!

I have stayed in other resorts on Samui that were much more expensive and not half as nice. The staff are friendly, the bungalows are clean, the food is nice and its right on the beach. Home cooking in the restaurant, cold beer at the bar, and al fresco massage right on the beach. I can t imagine a nicer place with a staff to match. Highly recommended!	fast, accurate and efficient

Location not close to Chaweng night life but only 10 minute walk to Fishermans village. If you want to see the island you could hire a motorbike for 200B per day no problem. Room with fan no a/c - small but comfortable, private and situated in beautiful bungalow area only 100m from beach.	Super smooth.

The beachfront bungalow wasn t available for us (there s only one), but we managed to get the second-closest one from the beach (there s a view from the front porch). It was really spacious and just steps away from the sand. In our 4 days at Cactus, we hardly left the property because everything was right there.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is great (try the fried noddles), and it s right on the beach. We definitely recommend Cactus to anyone wanting a relaxing time on Samui.	No problems at all, very simple and the confirmation came quickly.

The restaurant was great and the location was superb. We really enjoyed our stay there and will be booking there again when we go back. The beach is very close, the restaurant has the best chef in the area, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We recommend Cactus bungalow as a good, reasonably priced accomodation.	Your booking service was absolutely 5 star. We will definitely use your services again in future.

The beachfront bungalow was truly deluxe (given the price range) and the staff couldn t have been more friendly and helpful. The massage ladies at Cactus are also lovely and work wonders on tired bodies and minds, and they also do a great manicure and pedicure, all at too cheap prices. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking in this budget range, it s definitely the pick of the cheaper options on the beach, and we re already planning to go back again next year.	The booking service was fast and efficient over the internet, and everything was ready and waiting for us when we arrived.

It has hot water, A/C, and towels. No tolietries..it is very basic. It is a great spot if you just want to relax and be on the beach to get away. The staff is very helpful if you want to do day excursions, too. The breakfast was decent and had great prices. I would recommend this place if you are on a budget.	Was easy and very efficient. I booked my reservation online and they were ready for us on our arrival.

The place looks exactly like on the pics! The food is very good, massage in front of the place and you can play pool, whenever you want. The beach is right in front and fisherman s village not far away. On the main road is a supermarket, which is opened 24hrs. I can highly recommend this place!

Der Deluxe Bungalow ist zu empfehlen, auch wenn die Dusche (Wasserdruck) etwas zu wuenschen uebrig laesst. Das Essen ist super, hab nirgens anders so gut gegessen wie dort. Die Naehe zum Fishermans Village ist gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Gesamtes Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kann die Anlage nur weiter empfehlen.	Problemlos und schnell. Werde wieder hier buchen.

Owner Jeff and enitre team have added on to our experience. Polite, friendly they made us feel like home. We had wonderful sea view bungalow = simple, but with everything that you may need.Massage done directly on the beech, by the bungalow.It is definately good value for money. We had a time of our life with Cactus Bungalow and will definately be back and recommend this little gateway to our family and friends	Fast, reliable,will definatelz book again with Sawadee.

We planned to stay 2 nights and we stayed 6! : location is perfect (on the beach) - not completely easy to find the first time- the service is great: a lot of attention and nice meals at the restaurant. Ther restaurant was closed. the beach and the terrace was occupied with broken chairs etc...the published sea-view occupied by a broken massage-salon. We booked 5 nights, but left after the first night, so depressive was the environment.	very good

The double rooms with a/c are good size and comfortable. A/c worked well but plumbing is not the best.	Fast and straightforward, went without a hitch.

Russell 2007-08-06 until 2007-08-14	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach We stayed in the allegedly deluxe bungalow for 8 nights. I say allegdly, because there was really nothing deluxe about it. The bathroom in particular was just not clean. There was grime and dust around the bathroom, the toilet bowl was stained, and the whole place was generally not clean. The bungalow was cleaned on request every day (but you do have to request it), but the cleaning was superficial. This place is certainly not worth the rates they charge.	Excellent - prompt and correct.

The wodden bar with good chill out music invited for a sundowner. all ín all.....just recommandable	Perfect
FRANCINE 2007-07-29 until 2007-08-13	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach hotel sympa, endroit très joli, ambiance cool, mais le deluxe ne correspond a rien (à part l air conditionné) chambre vieille à rénover il y a vraiment de quoi faire!.. cela pourrait être tellement accueillant avec un peu de bonne volonté et quelques idées, salle de bain sale, pas de verre a dent, pas de petit savon, eau chaude au compte goutte quand cela veut bien fonctionner!... chambre faite uniquement sur demande,les linges de bain sentent mauvais vraiment trop cher pour ce qui est offert, même le minimum n y est pas LA PROPRETE !.... dommage MAIS MALGRE CELA CE FUT DE MERVEILLEUSES VACANCES.	parfait

Staff are really helpful, nothing is too much trouble and the owner is a lovely frenchman who is welcoming and funny. The food is excellent and I would highly recommend the barracuda and pad thai. We had a brilliant time here and came back for a second visit. Air con is a must and room 1 is the best in the place and opens up onto the beach. The bunglaows are on the beach and are very close to shops and loads of other restaurants. I would highly recomment staying here!!	Very easy to book , efficient service

Terra 2007-02-13 until 2007-02-17	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach Booked for four nights stayed two would have left sooner but, I couldn t find a place o stay. The sheets were filthy, the room muggy, dusty, and had a foul smell. Linens were not even clean got some kind of bed bug eating me up the two nights I was there. Staff was not friendly or accomodating in fixing the room. The floor, ceiling, and fan all needed to be dusted, wiped down. The entire bathroom smelled of sewage and it was noisy in the evening. I loved Samui and would definitley go back but, I will never stay at Cactus Bungalow ever again.

The reception/bar and restaurant are right on the beach front, where there always seemed to be a couple of spare sun beds waiting for us. Also a Thai Beach massage tent is right next door with great staff and wonderful prices. Cactus Bungalows are in quieter Bophut -you can walk along the beach into Fishermans Village and it s only a short taxi ride to Big Buddha Beach or Chaweng. If you re looking for a friendly quieter environment with easy access to beaches, bars and restarants then Cactus is a winderful choice.	easy booking service
neil ward 2006-12-17 until 2006-12-22	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach stayed here for 5 nights xmas 2006, basic but friendly. unfortunately the monsoon season was late and that ruined the beach experience but you can see that it s awesome when weather is nice. bit of scare when you get off you taxi to walk down the muddy path but very pretty when you get to the resort. food was very good and cheap. Fishermans village is lovely much nicer that Chaweng which we found to be far too Ibizaish?!	no problem

Rooms could do with a paint and new matress & pillows (dont put the light on helps). Rooms are not cleaned during stay and neither are towels provided. However, location is great and atmosphere at Cactus is best on beach. very laid back, good food and friendly. If want some luxury stay next door, for twice the price you will get hot showers, towels clean rooms, comfortable beds, mini bar, pool etc... but you will still end up in the Catus to eat and drink. Andrew White 2006-12-05 until 2006-12-08	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach Cactus was really cool bungalows with a restaurant and bar right on the beach. Some security issues though, we had 2 cameras and an ipod stolen from our (locked!) rooms during a blackout. Keep your stuff locked - the place doesn t have the security of a more expensive resort.	We initially requested 2 twin rooms, were told they only had one free for the times we wanted, I repeated our request through reply email and were told that there were 2 twin rooms free, and booked those. Arrived at the bungalow to find they didn t have twin rooms free so were put in doubles for the first night.
R.T. 2006-12-03 until 2006-12-04	Cactus Bungalow, Bophut Beach Hotel was supposed to pick me up at the airport. After 45 min and 2 phone calls, no one showed up, so I had to take a taxi. The taxi driver did not know where it was so it took far too long to get there. Once I arrived, they blamed me for not being at the airport! Plus, I could not lock the windows in the bungalow, so I did not feel safe. I immediately returned the key and left.	Had to phone them 2 times from the airport. Even then, no one came to pick me up.

French management gives the place a good mixture between thai style and european expectations. The Room is exactly what you can see on the website. There s also a good restaurant on the beach. Good and nice service! I ll be back. We decided to stay one more night.	Ok, no problem at all

I d recommend the deluxe bungalows with air-con & TV! Cactus restaurant serves great food at resonable prices and the massage place on the beach right by the apartments is fantastic! Big thumbs up for a chilled out few days in a quieter part of the island but close to the livelier areas.	The booking service was prompt & everything worked out well

So we moved to Sandy Resort at Bophut beach and had a great time.	Vey easy, no problem.

We have stayed at Cactus Bungalow 8 day´s and we have good memories of a pleasant holiday at Bophut Beach after 2 weeks backpacker excursions in the west of thailand. This peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and in a lovely place without noise was exactly what we wanted. The bungalow was with a/c, clean and for us very comfortable. We booked the nicest seeside-bungalow, about 12 steps from it to the beach, with a romantic veranda (you can take your seat under flowers in front to the blue-green water with a cup of “tee” and thinking …), no hotel accomodation can be better. We had a great time at the CACTUS Bungalows and look forward to going back someday. Result: Its a beautifully quiet & relaxing place and represents good value for money. Very recommendable !	No problems.
