Fabulously sophisticated for the price. Yummy restaurant with excellent service. Internet is non-existent. Staff is helpful. Had the time of my life.

Terrific quick booking! Booked at 10am online and checked in flawlessly at 12noon.

The place of the hotel is wonderfull though you must be aware of the fact that you are on a hill and that you need the help of the personell to get down. The walk is too far and to steep! There is no refrigerator, no airco, no television etc. Rooms could be cleaned better and you don t get new towels often enough. Personell is friendly.

Very beautiful scenery, the hut accomodations are nice but somewhat open (thatched roof, mosquito nets over the bed and fan, no warm water, no a/c), somewhat difficult to go out at night because the Jungle Club is located on the top of the mountain, but the staff provides a 24 hour car service to get down to the main street.

good.

An amazing place with incredible views, antastic staff and wonderful food. If you want to be away from the hustle bustle this is perfect, only downside is you can only come to and fro by hotel lifts as its up a huge steep hill, so if your in town you have to call up and get picked up so you can;t easily come in and out of town. But it is worth a stay, we came straight from a long flight and used it to chill before exploring.

No probs, dead easy

Probably the best kept secret in Samui. Stunning views from atop the mountain - I mean amazing views looking down over the town and out to sea. The staff are excellent, lots of fun. Beers and food are a bit pricey, but you re paying for the location and view I suppose. Rooms are basic but sufficient. I ve slept on more comfortable mattresses before and wished that the rooms had refrigerators, but the lack of these amenities does contribute to the overall charm of the place. The food is good and the beers are always cold at the bar. Many ex-pats I met living in Samui unanimously agree that the Jungle Club is the best place in Samui. Definitely worth a visit if you can do without the amenities of a 4-star hotel, want killer views and want a relaxed atmosphere to chill out. A locally rented scooter will get you up and down the hill daily without problem. One note: you have to settle your bill in cash! - a big surprise for us (and other guests) who then had to scramble around to ATM s in town hoping we d be able to withdraw that much money in one day to pay the bill. Not sure why they don t emphasise this, but they don t - so make sure you re cashed up at checkout time!

Excellent booking service. No problems with payment or confirmation

The hotel itself was lovely and very unique, but the staff were highly annoying and not pleasent to deal with, they were rude and very intrusive, they overstepped the line between a joke and plain rudeness. We checked out the next day because of the staff, we were supposed to stay for 3 nights.

Very good, although the staff at the hotel had no idea we were coming so they double booked, and then after the mix up they put us in a room with 2 huge lizards for company.

The setting is wonderful, the bungalows clean and really nice to for 600bht. The pool was fab (my daughter loved it) and the music and food was also brilliant watching over Samui. Food a little bit more expensive as you are away from anywhere else but if you are not on a budget, go it well worth it!!!!!!

Quick and no probs at all.

Jungle Club was amazing. We had a group of friends all meeting up in Koh Samui and this was the best place to do it. The staff were entertaining and helpful, the views were gorgeous and the ride up the hill was roller coaster fun! I recommend staying here, for the experience of it!

Booking was fast and easy. There was a mix up, in that 3 of us booked a Bungalow, when in fact there are only 2 Bungalows on offer!

I would definatly reccomend the jungle club... I stayed in 5 different places in thailand and this was definetly my favourite.... nice little 5 min drive up through the jungle to get to the peak but once there you have an amzing view of the chaweng beach and out towards the horizon. I stayed in one of the jungle houses and had a great view to wake up to .. food was really nice and pretty reasoably priced as well.... plus it wasnt too busy either so most times we had the pool to ourselves.

Booking service was nice n smooth ... no hiccups

The Jungle Club is such a great place to stay. Its situated up in the Chaweng Valley so you are out the way of all the touristy stuff down on the main strip but can get a lift with the vehicles they have. We stayed in a Jungle Hut, which was basic but great. The only down side wazs the bugs, but I think where ever you go in Thailand you get bugs!! The staff were great and really funny and helpful. Would definately come back!

Good location with an awesome view. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. You won t get everything you expect from a Western hotel unless you ask for it (more towels and toilet paper). I would go for a hut next time as I didn t find getting the house was worthwhile. It would also be nice if they made up the room everyday and the towels didn t smell a little. Overall I am satisfied but again I would have gotten just a hut.

No hiccups with the booking service

We enjoyed staying at the jungle club. The rooms were nice and the views spectacular. The food was also great and well priced. We went with our young family and they loved it there as they could run around on the grass play with the friendly dogs and the owners children. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere relaxed. The kids loved the TV area which was built on a big rock and that gave us adults some time to relax! We had a great time and so did our friends who joined us to eat lunch one day.

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Club! The staff was fun and incredibly helpful, the hospitality was amazing. We arrived to find that they had upgraded our room at no cost to us (the house was amazing)and they continually assisted in everyway possible to make our stay and experience the best available. Be prepared to pay in cash for the remainder of the lodging and any meal and drink expenses. You can run a tab for the entire stay, however they do not accept payment via credit card.

Booking was prompt and easy. Excellent experience overall.

Loved the Jungle Club! Getting up there can be a challenge if you do not get picked up, but other than that the place is a treasure on the mountain. Easy trip down to the beach, great bungalow, relaxing atmosphere, beautifully landscaped, good food and friendly people. We were there only one night, but were thrilled we found a totally unique place with superb service at a reasonable price.

We had the most amazing time at Jungle Club and we are without a doubt returning next year. The nights can be stressful due to the geckos and other animals in the bathroom, but other than that it is perfect if what you want is privacy, breathtaking view and warm and genuine staff. Next year we will opt for the more expensive bungalow with a view.

great. no complaints. efficient.

We originally booked two nights at Jungle Club and loved it so much we ended up staying 4 nights and are returning for another 3 nights after Xmas. The rooms were spacious, staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place is beautifully decorated. The hotel s location makes a refreshing escape from the busy beaches of Chaweng, though the free daily shuttle (plus there is always a driver on hand should those times not be convenient) makes it easy to get there if you want to go.

Excellent, we got a response very quickly and had no problems.

I was staying at a bungalow. Not very nice. No hot water, no a/c, between wall and roof was open, so there were a lot of moskitos around. They didn t make my room up, so I had to clean it myself. It s on hill and you can only reach it with 4wd jeep or a motorcross bike. No Taxi can drive you to the club. They have a transfer service from and to the bottom at every time with fair prices. The staff was very nice and I had a lot of fun. Great view to the busy Chaweng but without any noises. I think that s the only nice place at Samui.

No problems. I could pay the 2nd payment at the hotel. wow.

Just amazing view! Getting there was bit bumpy and crazy but once we got to the place, it was well worth it! We booked at Jungle Hut but upgraded to the lodge! The staff was great and they made everything possible for us. We did not have hot water, although we were supposed to but they let us use another Villa for hot shower. Hanging out at the bar with the staff was so much fun, we loved them! Great music and food was great! This place is a must for those of you who are looking to relax, hang out and be ready to have some fun with the staff!!! We will definatly come back!

Beautiful place, amazing swimming pool with view of half the island. Friendly stuff. Food a little bit expensive (but all kohsamui is relatively expensive) but very good. Going up and down the mountain is a bit of a hassle and rather expensive. Good place for children. I will stay there again.

It was the very first time for me staying in this kind of hotels. Simple but elegant, cheap but cozy. The most impressive thing is their service with great passion. We¡¦d also like to say a few words of thanks to the driver. You are so cute and kind-hearted! And I apologize to let you pick us at airport on the wrong date. Thank all of you so much!

The hotel was great. We chose a bungalow and it was just fine. Due to an unfortunate motorbike accident, we desired a hot shower one of the nights. I asked if there was another room available to switch to, but the place was fully booked. The staff allowed us to shower in their own facilities; what a pleasant surprise! Additionally, we wanted a ride into town to get some first aid supplies but they wouldn t take us; the manager called his friend, and asked him to bring the things we needed TO SAVE US THE MONEY OF THEM TRANSPORTING US DOWN TO TOWN! With that type of service, we ll return to the JC our next trip to Thailand!! The food was excellent, and despite a post on here to the contrary, I thought very inexpensive for the amount and quality The only downside was getting to the place. We had some miscommunications via sawadee (not with JC staff) so there was no taxi waiting on us at the end of the driveway/road to the hotel. We hiked about .5km up the hill before a motorbike came by. It was a JC staff member; he asked us to wait, and then returned in a 4WD to pick us up. The view is breathtaking, and they ll take you down to the beach anytime you want or just to the end of the driveway/road at anytime. Overall, great value for the money if you want to relax and get away from everything.

We booked several stops during this trip. As there is not a contact phone number for the Jungle Club on the reservations confirmation nor your webpages (at the time of our booking) we asked you to arrange transportation for us. None was arranged, and we wound up having to walk .5km up a rugged mountain trail with our luggage. This was the only bad part, all other bookings and transits were perfect.

Jungle Club, Chaweng Noi
Our experience at Jungle Club was mixed. The view is spectacular, the grounds are immaculate, and the infinity pool is superb. And now the bad news. The road up the hill requires a serious 4 wheel drive vehicle and the ride up and down can be terrifying for the inexperienced. They provide one free ride in the morning and one free ride back up at about 6pm making it impossible to enjoy dining or entertainment options in Chaweng without seriously expensive trips up and down. As backpackers rather than holiday tourists we opted for the jungle hut which was just fine but dark and mosquito infested. The lighting to walk towards your hut was nonexistent, and the staff was friendly but seemed uninterested in your experience unless you opted for the super expensive cocktails and meals in the restaurant. If you are a holiday tourist that just wants to get away from it all this is for you, but if you are on a serious budget don t let the cheap accomodations fool you. Once you add on the outrageous meals and trips up and down the mountain you are spending some serious cash. We cut our stay days short and found a lovely bungalow right on the beach for the same $ called Kings Garden Resort. They know how to treat their guests with free beach towels, daily cleaning, and staff that seem to care about your needs rather than just making a buck.

Booking service was just fine.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. We stayed in the Jungle huts. They are fairly small and only have fans and cold water showers. Next time I would go for the air conditioned huts. The atmosphere was fantastic. Very relaxing. Great food and pool. An unbelievable view. It’s an amazing place to relax away from the noise and craziness of Chaweng and Lamai. The ride up to the hut is a little long and bumpy but it’s worth it if you are looking or a quiet safe place to relax. It is fairly far from a beach and Chaweng night life but the shuttle service is convenient. They will pick you up at any time for a charge. All food and shuttle charges are written on a tab for each hut and paid for at the end of your stay. It is in the jungle so bring bug spray (the bugs really only come out for a few hours in the evening) and don’t expect to have internet access. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Staying here was the highlight of our stay on Ko Samui. You can spend the day by the pool or watch DVDs and relax in the restaurant/ bar area of it happens to rain. There was really no reason to leave other than to see the beach. Skip “downtown” Chaweng and Lamai. Stay here and spend some time on Ko Tao instead.

Booking service was convenient. I would use it again.

A really beautiful place. We stayed in the Jungle House which was great, 2 of our boys stayed in their own Bungalow also v good and completely safe even for a 12 and 10 year old. The staff are excellent, Valerie and It make you very welcome, the food very good, the views stunning and the bar/restaurant is beautiful. A completely relaxing place to chill out, don t expect 5 star accomodation etc for example no fridges in rooms, mozzie nets, mainly cold/luke warm showers but none of this matters and frankly for the price you can t expect it. The trip up/down the hill is great fun and they provide a 24 hour service, not expensive, also 2 free shuttles to either the beach or Chaweng. The beach at the bottom of the hill is Chaweng Noi and is excellent, with 2 or 3 good beach bars. If you are really looking to be on the beach then it s still worth going if only for 2 or 3 days, we can totally recommend the JC especially for couples or families. We will be returning but probably not in December as the weather is unpredictable and if you are going to spend a lot of money flying out a family of 5 to a tropicsl island you really want guaranteed weather, which you will get in Samui from Jan-August save for the odd shower. Go to the JC with the right attitude and you will have a great time!!

We looked at a number of places via the internet, and finally chose the Jungle Club for two reasons, i.e. we liked the look of the place itself & also because all the reviews by previous guests were very positive. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Jungle Club to others; the owners & staff are very friendly & helpful, the facilities were more than adequate for us (the infinity pool is great - what a view!), and the way they have worked with the surrounds when they built the place, rather than clearing swathes of land, is a big plus. The Jungle Club is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle & bustle and relax in a wonderful environment. We hope we have the chance to stay there again in the near future.

Beautifull calm place with stunning view located on the hills only a ten minute drive away from Chaweng ( you need a 4 wheel drive car or motorbike to reach the place). Very friendly and helpfull owners and stuff. Food ok - a bit expensive, but they have to bring all the stuff up there. The jungle huts are small and offer only minimum comfort (fan, moskitonet, running water). I can really recommend this peacefull place - we stayed there three nights and then moved to Menam beach ( well, the kids preferred a bit more the attractions of the beach ;-)

The Jungle Club was extraordinary. It was close to very busy Chaweng, so we were never at a loss for something to do, but it was also isolated and quiet, nestled amid coconut trees on the mountain. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. The view was breathtaking, the accomodations comfortable and affordable, and the staff exceptional. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic place, high above Chaweng beach with phenomenal views - a bit of a trek to get there, but well worth the effort. Its a beautifully quiet & relaxing place, but within easy reach of the beach & the action of Central Chaweng if you want it. The staff were really friendly & helpful, and there s a great restaurant on site. We stayed in a Jungle House, which was lovely, bright & clean - be prepared to share your surroundings with the local wildlife though - its everywhere! We had a great time at the Jungle Club & look forward to going back someday.

Very fast & efficient both by email & by telephone - would definitely use sawadee.com again
