Wow what else can i say, this was truely the most beautiful place my boyfriend and I have ever seen. The hospitality of the staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. The free shuttle bus was on offer to take us down to the town but we didnt want to leave. Everything had been decorated to a high standard and was very modern. We wished we could have stayed longer if we didnt have to return back home. we will definatly be back.

While soaking in the infinity pool I realised that everybody all the way down there on Chaweng Beach were tourists, and that we were on a real holiday. For the first time during our trip I didn t feel compelled to rush off to go anywhere or do anything, but just to sit and relax. Access to the Jungle Club is limited which is a good and bad thing. Day visitors are friendly and the bar closes at about 11pm, so there is a quiet night sleep ahead. I didn t feel comfortable getting Jay or Jack out of bed to drag us home late at night, but that s part of the service, right? Dining at the Jungle Club was hands-down the best quality/price that we had in Thailand. No joke. The guys have reccomendations on what to eat and can make it happen for you. I had an amazing Thai beef salad that was so spicy that literally made time slow down! Banana with coconut milk was also a big hit. Do you guys have a recipe book? I would buy one. Staff were excellent, laid back with a good sense of humour. They had good knowledge of what to do on Samui, and had arranged activities for us on request. The only problem with our stay is that is was too short. If I could recommend a plan for your stay on Koh Samui: stay on Chaweng beach for a couple of nights, to get the late activities out of the way, then have a holiday up at the Jungle Club. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Jungle club! The views were beautiful, the food was fab and the atmosphere was just perfect. We felt very well looked after, and appreciated the free shuttle service to Chaweng. Peaceful, relaxing. Especially enjoyed the little huts we stayed in, very close to nature! Luckily I got used to the creepy crawleys quickly! The best stay of all our stops whilst travelling around south east asia... We will definately be returning here!

Awesome views, great food and bar, fun and helpful service. Don t let the off-the-beaten path location keep you away from the Jungle Club. Our family of 5 stayed in the Villa -- it was our favorite stay in Thailand.

Very good.

My husband and I stayed at The Jungle Club at the begining at March 09. It was definetly the best part of our 7 wk trip. The hosts Jack and J.C(i think thats his name) were amazing. They were super funny, Helpful and there whenever we needed them with what ever we needed. The whole place was really clean. We could have just stayed up there the whole 4 days and not gone into Chewang. There is such a breath taking view from there, its just so beautiful. Everyone we have met since we were there , we told them to go to The Jungle Club. Even Valerie & It kept in contact with me till we got there, which i thought was really thoughtful. I highly recomend it to anyone traveling, or backpacking that just needs rest away from the world.... on top of the world...

Booking was really easy. I personally was worried about putting my Credit info online, but its a safe web-site and nothing happened.

I stayed at the Jungle Club on March 2-6. The rental for a house was pretty reasonable and well within my budget. The hotel is up on a hill so the view is magnificent. It was the dry season when I was there so weather was sunny every day which made the environment even more stunning. The house was nice, cozy and clean. The king size bed and the sofa bed should be good enough for 3 people. There was no air-con but the electrical fan was good enough. There was no TV but I could watch DVDs in the main bar/restaurant. There was also no public computer so you may need to bring your own lap top (otherwise there are many internet places in town). The only surprise was the toilet - it s not the flushing type but there s a big tank of water next to it. I was told only the two lodges were installed with flushing toilets. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced - though I didn t eat too often there. It took about 10 mins to go down to Chaweng beach and town area. The road going up the hill was steep and bumpy so had to rely on the hotel s 4x4. I would recommend the Jungle Club to people who want a peace and quiet retreat in Samui.

Booking was easy and my enquiries were responded promptly.

Jungle Club, Chaweng Noi
A rare find. I have just stayed here for 8 days with my family and friends (wedding party) taking up the entire resort -1 hut. All 18 of us fell in love with it and it felt like our bit of paradise. Yes it is up a shaky road and a little awkward to get up and down- but the staff shuttle up or down on time at any time. Yes you are amongst the wildlife- you really do get the feeling you are in the jungle, huge spiders in the trees, (thankfully they tend to stay there), massive beetles and butterflies, mozzies and geckos, we even had a cobra in the resort, which was quickly dealt with and I heard eaten. If the above puts you off go for somewhere on the main Chaweang strip, but if you can handle it, this place is awsome! The villa is great for a small family, the lodges are fantastic with unreal views, the house and bungalows are lovely and the huts are v.basic and for people who are comfortable with backpacking, but great value. All rooms are fan only and have seating areas and/or hammocks.Luckily (as you are away from the main areas)the food is great and reasonable priced too and you can put everything on a tab and pay it off at the end.The whole resort has spectacular views and the infinity pool is a great spot to play and chill. The staff are great too, Ang is a little over zealous, Bok is humble and quiet but Jay and Jack are the backbone and felt like part of the family by the end and nothing was too much trouble and are real characters. I only worry that they will build a better road to the place making it busier and up the prices.

Great, no problems despite making many changes

Jungle Club, Chaweng Noi
We enjoyed our stay at Jungle Club very much, it s quiet and offers privacy compared to extremely busy chaweng beach. Staff is very friendly and always happy to help you concerning almost anything. Some people might think that transfer by 4X4 jeep is too difficult and bumpy but we actually think it was so much fun. If you use the transfer in your own time a lot it will cost some money, but there are also free transfers twice a day. Spectacular view and inexpensive bungalows make this place worth to visit. Please make sure that they actually pick you up from the airport, we had to call them and remind.

easy and quick booking

I had a very good time and the hotel was not an exception. The view and instalations are beautiful and simple. The place has an excellent sense of design and comfort. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recomend this place for people who want to have a relaxed time with the comfort of quiet time and beautiful views. It probably will not be for someone who wants to go party, drinking and meeting people. The way up to the resort is very steep but you can go up with a motorcicle but be careful. Overall I will go back to this place.

Booked as planned

Jungle Club, Chaweng Noi
We were attracted by three things to Jungle Club - 1. The price, 600baht for a hut (or hutch as my 4 year old called it) with shower and toilet meant more could be spent elsewhere; 2. the location - amazing views of Chaweng down below, far enough away so that it s quiet (although depending on weather, you could hear a club beating away somewhere, or rather my partner could, i m deafer than she is and could not hear anything) and 3. the other reviews of critters that were everywhere - we were looking forwqrd to seeing bugs etc although I have to say there are barely any more than we have seen during other trips to Thailand. Some large gecko s which are welcome in the hut as they scoff other insects like mossies, fruit bats which came visiting one tree for a few days, the odd spider in a tree, but in all nothing to worry about and we were looking hard for things! What we did not count on was the food - every dish was fantastic and as good as or better than every other one we ate during our holiday. The views - no photo s do justice to the panoramic views, and there are many seating areas on the edge of the central restaurant on hillside to make the most of this. Lastly the staff - very welcoming, hospitable and with a great sense of humour. If I ever go back to Samui I will go here again, it s very special.

Jungle Club, Chaweng Noi
Visited the place in November. There were many mosquitos about and each room seemed to have it s very own geeko living in it. We didn t mind as they keep the bugs away. The jungle hutts are excellent value for money if your a backpacker. The views from the place are fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. We took a waiters mobile and he would drop us off and pick us back up for 100 baht before midnight and 200 baht after midnight at the bars near chawang beach. The macdonalds is the best place to be dropped as central to the bars and an Irish bar behind. The down side is that you need to go up and down to the Jungle club by 4x4 so you need them to transport you as it s a very bumpy drive. One guy did have a moped but it was a difficult task so you would need to be a skilled rider to do this. There wasn t a huge menu choice and the food and drinks were slightly on the expensive side compared to other places near by but it was nice. I would recommend this place to people though as the view is brilliant and the staff friendly. A short visit makes the travel up and down not seem so bad. We stayed about 3 days and wish we had done about 5. They do a free shuttle 10 am with a 6pm return if you want to go to the beach in chaweng. Very quiet on a night and they have old lamps burning. The bar tended to shut early sometimes but probably due to lack of people in the bar.

The place of the hotel is wonderfull though you must be aware of the fact that you are on a hill and that you need the help of the personell to get down. The walk is too far and to steep! There is no refrigerator, no airco, no television etc. Rooms could be cleaned better and you don t get new towels often enough. Personell is friendly.

Very beautiful scenery, the hut accomodations are nice but somewhat open (thatched roof, mosquito nets over the bed and fan, no warm water, no a/c), somewhat difficult to go out at night because the Jungle Club is located on the top of the mountain, but the staff provides a 24 hour car service to get down to the main street.

good.

An amazing place with incredible views, antastic staff and wonderful food. If you want to be away from the hustle bustle this is perfect, only downside is you can only come to and fro by hotel lifts as its up a huge steep hill, so if your in town you have to call up and get picked up so you can;t easily come in and out of town. But it is worth a stay, we came straight from a long flight and used it to chill before exploring.

No probs, dead easy

Probably the best kept secret in Samui. Stunning views from atop the mountain - I mean amazing views looking down over the town and out to sea. The staff are excellent, lots of fun. Beers and food are a bit pricey, but you re paying for the location and view I suppose. Rooms are basic but sufficient. I ve slept on more comfortable mattresses before and wished that the rooms had refrigerators, but the lack of these amenities does contribute to the overall charm of the place. The food is good and the beers are always cold at the bar. Many ex-pats I met living in Samui unanimously agree that the Jungle Club is the best place in Samui. Definitely worth a visit if you can do without the amenities of a 4-star hotel, want killer views and want a relaxed atmosphere to chill out. A locally rented scooter will get you up and down the hill daily without problem. One note: you have to settle your bill in cash! - a big surprise for us (and other guests) who then had to scramble around to ATM s in town hoping we d be able to withdraw that much money in one day to pay the bill. Not sure why they don t emphasise this, but they don t - so make sure you re cashed up at checkout time!

Excellent booking service. No problems with payment or confirmation

The hotel itself was lovely and very unique, but the staff were highly annoying and not pleasent to deal with, they were rude and very intrusive, they overstepped the line between a joke and plain rudeness. We checked out the next day because of the staff, we were supposed to stay for 3 nights.

Very good, although the staff at the hotel had no idea we were coming so they double booked, and then after the mix up they put us in a room with 2 huge lizards for company.

The setting is wonderful, the bungalows clean and really nice to for 600bht. The pool was fab (my daughter loved it) and the music and food was also brilliant watching over Samui. Food a little bit more expensive as you are away from anywhere else but if you are not on a budget, go it well worth it!!!!!!

Jungle Club was amazing. We had a group of friends all meeting up in Koh Samui and this was the best place to do it. The staff were entertaining and helpful, the views were gorgeous and the ride up the hill was roller coaster fun! I recommend staying here, for the experience of it!

Booking was fast and easy. There was a mix up, in that 3 of us booked a Bungalow, when in fact there are only 2 Bungalows on offer!

I would definatly reccomend the jungle club... I stayed in 5 different places in thailand and this was definetly my favourite.... nice little 5 min drive up through the jungle to get to the peak but once there you have an amzing view of the chaweng beach and out towards the horizon. I stayed in one of the jungle houses and had a great view to wake up to .. food was really nice and pretty reasoably priced as well.... plus it wasnt too busy either so most times we had the pool to ourselves.

Booking service was nice n smooth ... no hiccups

The Jungle Club is such a great place to stay. Its situated up in the Chaweng Valley so you are out the way of all the touristy stuff down on the main strip but can get a lift with the vehicles they have. We stayed in a Jungle Hut, which was basic but great. The only down side wazs the bugs, but I think where ever you go in Thailand you get bugs!! The staff were great and really funny and helpful. Would definately come back!

Good location with an awesome view. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. You won t get everything you expect from a Western hotel unless you ask for it (more towels and toilet paper). I would go for a hut next time as I didn t find getting the house was worthwhile. It would also be nice if they made up the room everyday and the towels didn t smell a little. Overall I am satisfied but again I would have gotten just a hut.

No hiccups with the booking service

We enjoyed staying at the jungle club. The rooms were nice and the views spectacular. The food was also great and well priced. We went with our young family and they loved it there as they could run around on the grass play with the friendly dogs and the owners children. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere relaxed. The kids loved the TV area which was built on a big rock and that gave us adults some time to relax! We had a great time and so did our friends who joined us to eat lunch one day.

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Club! The staff was fun and incredibly helpful, the hospitality was amazing. We arrived to find that they had upgraded our room at no cost to us (the house was amazing)and they continually assisted in everyway possible to make our stay and experience the best available. Be prepared to pay in cash for the remainder of the lodging and any meal and drink expenses. You can run a tab for the entire stay, however they do not accept payment via credit card.

Loved the Jungle Club! Getting up there can be a challenge if you do not get picked up, but other than that the place is a treasure on the mountain. Easy trip down to the beach, great bungalow, relaxing atmosphere, beautifully landscaped, good food and friendly people. We were there only one night, but were thrilled we found a totally unique place with superb service at a reasonable price.
