Все заведение настолько крошечное, что с трудом можно назвать отелем. Похоже мы жили здесь одни – соседей не было видно. В садике есть замечательное место для ночных тусовок – столик перед водопадом. Перед нашим бунгало – крошечный водопадик и декоративная лужица с рыбками. Внутри втроем тесновато. Ванна не пропорционально большая, душ ни как не отделен и весь пол перед унитазом и раковиной утопает при его использовании. Полотенца меняли ежедневно, постель, похоже, тоже (а может просто заправляли – просто все всегда чисто). Чаевые можно и не оставлять – на качество уборки не влияет. Бесплатный WiFi глючит, но все-таки есть. Персонал максимально приветлив, с reception выбегают тебе на встречу отдать ключ, забрать полотенца. Полотенца на пляж дают каждый день новые. Своего пляжа нет. На пляже отеля, который прямо за дорогой, вообще нет лежаков. Пользовались лежаками, душем и бассейном отеля Tango – никто не возражал. Дорогу в отеле не слышно, самолеты летают рядом, но спать не мешают. На пляже тихо, спокойно, малолюдно. Для купания идеальна песчаная коса. Прямо у выхода из отеля на дорогу слева магазинчик Family Mart, справа дешевая и чистая кафешка. Так что с завтраками и обедами никаких проблем. Единственная беда – вход на территорию через задние дворы, мимо авторемонтов и свалок ржавых авто. Жуть. Если б таксист не показал, где собственно вход в отель – и не нашли бы. Никакой вывески или чего-то похожего на вход.	Ok

Boers JJM 2009-04-28	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach Hotel entrance starts to give you a bad feeling. But when you re in , you see this is no problem at all. Kind & friendly staff & personnel. It takes only 2-3 minutes to the beach, right at a nice reggae baeachbar for relaxed sit and drink on the beach. Clean and all necessary needs are there so take it.	Perfect. When I saw this site, I decided to go to Thailand. Before I transferred to other resort I always had a quick view in Sawadee to make my choices.

L avantage, c est qu on peut dormir tranquilement le soir ce qui n est pas le cas des hotels sur la plage situés à coté des bars!!! A 500m à pied du centre, superbe jardin tropical, très bon rapport qualité/prix!!	parfait, réponse très rapide!
Lynette 2009-03-26	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach LOVED IT! I felt as if I was there living in the true nature of koh samui. The hotel staff if very friendly and I had no problems at all. I would caution those who are not used to roughing it. there is no tv, phone, etc.-just the basics-toilet, shower, and bed. That is all you need when you are on an island. I am not a fan of overpriced hotels that are run by individuals who are not natives. It is slightly tucked but still extremely easy to get to the beach-The easiest way is through Amari Hotel s driveway.	PERFECT!!!

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location is within walking distance of Chaweng, but out of reach of the worst noise. The rooms are simple, but cheap. My only complaint would be the bad reception on the TV, but who cares about TV?

Away from the noise in the centre, maybe a little to long walk in the dark at night? The beach is just across the street 2 minutes away. Will definately stay there again if visiting Chaweng again.	Excellent as usual

Gillian Cooper 2009-01-13	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach Baan Rom Mai is a great little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff as well as a great choice of varied accomodation I do reccomend the air conditioned rooms or the bugalows as we had friends stay in the fan rooms and they sweated the night away! When you are in Samui be prepared for taxi drivers to not know where Baan Rom Mai is so when arriving from the airport take the transfer service Baan Rom Mai provides even though it costs 400bht. For the rest of the tri ask taxi s to drop you off at Your Place (another hotel) or the Amari Resort as they know where they are and its a quick walk down to Baan Rom Mai from there. When we arrived at Baan Rom Mai I was a little concered as it is tucked away behind a scooter garage on a dirt road and we couldn t see Chaweng Beach at all! But we soon discovered that it was literally a two minute walk to the beach along the pathway through the Your Place hotel (opposite Family Mart which is on the corner of the main road and the dirt road Baan Room Mai is on) Other then those few things Baan Rom Mai was a great place to stay with the cheapest and best internet service we can across on our whole trip - 1bht a mintue! with beautiful gardens and a relaxed atmosphere. If you are concerned about the safety of your belongings they offer safety deposit boxes at the front desk free of charge but we just kept our stuff locked up in our luggage in the room. The T.V was great as was the scooter rental they offer from the front desk We booked all our adventures with the front desk and they always obliged with a smile and with a genuine concern that we weren t getting ripped off! Have a great stay at Baan Rom Mai and if you are going in a big group (we went with 11 people) definately stay there as we had a great time relaxing andd drinking around the hotel. If you are going as a couple spend the little extra and stay in the bungalow - they re private and have a garden view - very romantic! Youll have a great time in Samui in Baan Rom Mai it s not the Ritz but for the price it s a wonderful little hotel!	Sawadee booking service was prompt and secure. we had no trouble with check in at any of our hotels.

Hayley Frank 2008-12-27	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach What an absolute delight and pleasure. For the amount of money that was paid on accomodation we were so impressed. The people were so helpful and friendly. Our room was small but clean, the aircondtioner was perfect and we had hot water. What more could anyone ask for?? The location for us was perfect as it is on the quiet side of the road, and we did not mind the walk back after dinner. The only advice I have is don t book a transfer from the airport to your hotel that cost us THB 400 and it should only cost THB 100 from the airport to the hotel with a taxi who are available at a snap of your finger. Stunning holiday.	Great service, I will definately use this servce again

If you are searching for a very nice place where can sleep peaceful, with a very nice garden, Baan Rom Mai may be your target. North of Chaweng, near Hospital, BRM gives you all basics you need at a reasonable price. Room clean, helpful staff. Few minute walking for beach, ten minute for heart of Chaweng. If I come back to Samui, sure I will stay here again.	Smooth, no problem.
Nilofer Dhillon 2008-12-19	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach first time to koh samui and what a awesome experience for me and my children! i must say - the love,warmth and hospitality we have experienced with the staff at baan rom mai is truly amazing! - they really made us feel at home - if you can ignore or overlook the construction works going on progressively in different locations around the hotel - and focus on the conveniences it has to offer within its vicinity - mart, cafe, beach, laundry etc this would be the place of choice for its hygiene, natural garden and great service - thank you puggi, sam and jaz for a wonderful experience and holiday!cheers nadia, ashley and julia

Miss Charlotte Hinks 2008-09-06	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach There are some building works on the roadside in front of Ban Rom Mai (BRM) but don t let this put you off. BRM is set back from the road, in beautiful gardens with tranquil water features and ample seating areas. The lady on reception is extremely helpful, breakfast is excellent value and the rooms are clean and have good facilities. Its only a few minutes walk from the beach and shops (if you walk slowly!). It has the benefits of being at the quiet end of the beach but with lovely beachside restaurants only a stroll away and nightlife easily accessible if that s your preference.	Quick, easy and effective.

As it is located far up Chaweng beach near the International Hospital, it is very quiet and peaceful and has a lovely garden. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the heart of Chaweng. The price is reasonable, but if you want to be in the middle of the action, I m sure that you can find somewhere for an equivalent price which is not so far out.	Excellent as always

The room was clean, the garden around the huts was beautiful, the stuff was very helpful and friendly. From our hut, it was a 7 minute walk to the main part of the street with all its restaurants, bars and shops. It is very close to the beach and a little bit more quieter then on the mainbeach, which was very nice.It was worth the money.	good

Perfect location: 2 minutes walking to the beach, walking distance from everything (which was not an unpleasant walk :) ) and still not in the center of drunken tourist area. Nice breakfast and a lovely little garden for relaxation.	We tried to make the reservation last minute, while orders were processed within 24 hours (which was way too late). But it was fixed in less than 1 hour! Great!

simon bearryman 2008-07-12 until 2008-07-18	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach I loved this place - we booked a bungalow with ac set in a beautiful oasis of a garden the bungalow although basic was completely adaquate for our needs, the bed was very comfortable, everything worked,the room was cleaned,the sheets where changed and the mini bar re-stocked every day, the staff where very friendly and charming with perfectly good service. Its location is far enough away from any noise of the busy part of town but near enough to walk to and the beautiful beach is only a 3 minute walk away. We had absolutely no problems at all here and will certainly be going back	Very good. The response to choice of available accomadation was very prompt - I chose my accomadation, made a small deposit on line, paid the remainder on arrival with no problems what so ever

Was also quite as off the main strip and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It s only about a 10 min walk to the nicer beach and bars which is quite nice as clears your head before going to bed! Also recommend going diving to sail rock, I went with Infinity Dive who were well organised and Academy dive looked quite well organised as well! The Ark Bar plays good music and the food is quite good as well!	Some of our group tried to down grade their room due to lack of funds! but you can only upgrade. Also you can t pay by Credit Card

The staff are very kind, but there english could bee better. Rooms are cleaned every day. Baan Rom Mai to the beach, you have to cross Chaweng Beach Road and then pass a building place and now your are on the beach with bars and massage shops. Sue 2008-02-19	Baan Rom Mai, Chaweng Beach it s very far from the city and anywhere else though its very near to the beach. not much things around the hotel and no great restaurants around. the hotel staffs are very very friendly and eager to help us which is very accommodating. the rooms are hotter than outside and there is no TV which we wondered why as when we reserve the hotel,and the pictures include TV as well but it does not matter..there are mosquitoes and we have to burn mosquito coil in our room. owners have 2 dogs with them which really scares us.	very fast and efficient. very convenient for us to confirm our traveling days. very good.

Since we have paid one night on the web and booked 2 more we asked & explained that we wanted to look at the room and the surroundings if we wanted another hotel. This was OK accordning to the staff. Well, a first glance at the room and the smell of mold hit us hard. The stench was unbearable but tired after the trip from BBK to Samui we slept 3 hours and when we woke up we both felt nauseous. We explained that we wanted to change hotels and by this time another staffmember worked in the reception. She wanted 1100 Baht * 2 for the nights that we booked. We then politely explained that we check in at 10 AM in the morning the same day and had already agreed with other staffmembers that we could check out if we wanted. NO, she wanted 2200 BAHT and that s what we did. After this they wanted to check the room and we were not given back our passports until we paid 10 BAHT for a waterbottle from the fridge. Talk about an unreasonable behaviour. STAY AWAY FROM this place. To add is that we stayed at several places in Thailand and this is the only place we have been treated like this.	very nice service.
