Katie Power 2008-11-13	World Resort, Bophut Beach We stayed in a Beach view Bungalow for 5 nights. The resort picked us up and dropped us back to the airport at no extra cost. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast buffet fine. Dinner menu not great and restaurant closed during our stay. Two dogs in resort not good, but waitresses realized I didn t like dogs and kept them away from me. Too far from Fisherman’s Village to walk. Bungalow really nice and close to beach. Complimentary thai massage brilliant. Overall nice resort, if weather had been better could have enjoyed the beach and the walk to Fisherman s Village would have been ok. Way too many dogs in Koh Samui for my liking!	No hassle. Brilliant. Would have been nice to have the facility to contact hotel once booking made if we wanted to ask any questions or request something.
Vanessa and Ann 2008-10-21	World Resort, Bophut Beach We arrived early and had no problems checking in earlier than we were suppose to. The staff were very friendly and nice and did everything they could to make sure we had a pleasent stay. We were upgraded to a bungalow which was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend The World Resort to others when staying in Bophut. Fantastic.	very easy with no problems.
Mike, Na, Fa & Julia 2008-10-08	World Resort, Bophut Beach The bungalows are nice, had an interconnecting room. Good shower and clean. Nice quiet garden. The beach was ok, but the water is bad, not the kind you want on your vacation. There are better beaches elsewhere. Our children prefered to swim in the pool. Staff is great, friendly and smiling. Buffet breakfast is good. There aren t many shops and restaurant in the area, everything is expensive, so is fishermans village. The best we found was Mr. Poo s barbeque buffe 99B. Aroi, Aroi!!. All in all, The resort is great for a nice , quiet vacation with family. Eventough i prefer stay elsewhere.
Angela T 2008-09-18	World Resort, Bophut Beach Lovely quiet resort, well suited for families and couples. Service is very good and friendly and the staff speak good English. There aren t alot of shops or bars near the Resort, but this is arguably a good thing rather than a bad thing. On the beach, has a nice swimming pool, bar and free english buffet breakfast and there are travel agents close by to organise day trips etc. Convenient and insular. After a week it felt very much like a home away from home. Watch out for a couple of mossies in the bungalows though.	No probelms as usual.
Matthew Nash 2008-09-17	World Resort, Bophut Beach We ( wife and two children ages 5 and 3yrs) had the pleasure of staying at world resort for one week. The children had the time of their life, they were spoilt by the resort staff, and nothing was a problem, the pool area was great and the resort food was wonderful, we ate out a few times,the local fisherman s village, which is close by and had some good resturants and some little shops to look at. The beach area (if you are Australian)is not that spectacular,but it has no waves for little one s to swim safely in.The accommodation a little old, it is very clean and is a traditional Thai resort, the grounds are beautiful and the service is unbeatable, I would stay again.	It was great, no problems, quick and safe.
Katherine Peavy 2008-08-09 until 2008-08-16	World Resort, Bophut Beach This is exactly the kind of place we were looking for - natural environment, quaint bungalows, completely unpretentious. Also had all the services of a big resort such as massage, spa, swimming pool, room service, cable tv etc., but without the sterile atmosphere of the big/corporate resorts. We went with our 5 year old and he had a blast. There were also couples there too who seemed to be enjoying themselves. The beach is nice and quiet, but close enough to both Boput Fisherman s Village and Maenam town for short outings. I was worried about previous comments of the pool tiles cutting some kids feet, but the pool area looks to have been recently renovated. Great value for the money. Will definitely visit again - the sooner, the better.	Great. Really efficient at answering my hundreds of questions. Will recommend to friends.

Je recommande ce lieu à tous et pour les familles vous serez assurées d une tranquilité tout en ayant la possibilité, à très peu de frais, de vous déplacer sur l île. Bon séjour à tous.	Parfait. The only remark I can do is that the bungalow wasn´t ready for us when we arrived. We felt forced to eat lunch at the restaurant while waiting. The meals were good and the breakfast was the best ever.	Everything worked out very well.

Nous occupons un bungalow supérior sea side, avec une terrasse vue sur la mer, celui-ci est très spacieux, bien équipé et depuis cette année un petit coffre fort individuel dans la chambre. Ménage quotidien, entretien impeccable. A noter, serviettes de plage à disposition + 1 bouteille d eau (60 ml) par jour et par personne.Equipé d un frigo. cela permet de faire quelques petites courses. Le petit déjeuner est servi sous forme de buffet, très varié avec un cuisinier à disposition pour toutes les envies. Piscine sympathique avec un bar et les massages à portée de mains.Equipe toujours souriante, notre fille a été accueillie par son prénom et chacun est disponible pour les enfants. Restaurant très bon, choix varié avec pour les nostalgiques une petite carte internationale.Hotel où se cotoient de nombreux habitués, ambiance familiale et en retrait de l activité nocturne des lieux comme Chaweng.Village de fisherman s à 15 mn de marche.	Service de réservation très efficace, attentif à la demande et respectueux des exigences client . Transaction financière sécurisée et tarification détaillée. Perhaps, next year, fourth time .... French Customers very very happy. Valou (Paris).	Nothing to tell, all was perfect (we hope one number of bungalow (the same each year) , they made this for us.

The rooms are wonderful, the beach is perfectly quiet (ie not too quiet, but not too noisy either). Staff is wonderful.. our big surprise this year was that dinner was excellent. We usually eat at different places and opted to eat more dinners at World. Can t wait to go back

Unlike the reviews we read, BoPhut beach is not really the best place for young couples and singles. There s really not much to do in the area. The beach is nice, but secluded. It s great for families who spend a lot of time hanging out at the beach or pool. The construction right next door wasn t too bothersome. Another user wrote that there free Wi-Fi, but it s not free. And it s only available in the lobby. Do check with the hotel for your transportation charges. They picked us up from the ferry port for free, but we were charged a small fee for the transportation service to the airport.
Ralf Gieszer 2008-03-13 until 2008-03-22	World Resort, Bophut Beach Good - Better - World Resort!!! It was the sixth trip to Koh Samui, but the living in WORLD RESORT in this year was the Best. Bungalows were very clean, the breakfast and the food were very excellent, the beach was very nice and the swimming pool is also very nice and clean. Perfekt for families (we have three childrens). Martyn Thomas Fletcher 2008-03-12 until 2008-03-16	World Resort, Bophut Beach I stayed in the World Resort during March 2008. I found the reception staff particularly Tanyaporn friendly and helpful. We had booked a room in the main building but were upgraded to a bungalow for the same price which was really appreciated. The bungalow had all the amenities but I would say that the bathroom was tired and due for renovation. On the 15th March the resort had its 29th Anniversay and the owner laid on a magnificent free buffet, thai dancing and other entertainment. Bophut beach is lovely and probably more suited to mature travellers. They care about their guests at the World Resort and I would recommend it.	Efficient as always.
Pam Heaton 2008-03-07 until 2008-03-12	World Resort, Bophut Beach These pretty bungalows are more crowded than the web photo. Most of them are duplexes and are lovely if the neighbor is very quiet. We had a quiet neighbor for 2 nights, then a rowdy crew that kept us up. Spring break kids at the pool also partied loudy until I complained at 11pm. All this in addition to construction next door. Lovely staff, good breakfast buffet and pretty garden setting. I prefer Maenam beach for peace and quiet.	No problems, easy to reserve.

The grounds are lush, well-kept gardens that lead to a gorgeous part of the beach. The pool is wonderful, the bungalows are immaculately clean and the restaurant food is delicious and well-priced. We stayed for 18 nights and by the end of our first week, we considered World Resort our home. The staff was so friendly and kind (the desk staff ordered a cake, unbeknown to us, for my son s 6th birthday.) They made staying at World Resort a delight. It was like being with family, and when we left, we cried and promised to return. It is a very special place with a lot of soul. It is PERFECT for families. We had two interconnecting bungalow rooms that allowed us to bring three kids and a nanny and we were all very comfortable. There are fancier places to stay on Bo Phut beach but World Resort is the friendliest -- and that, in the end, is what matters when you want a place you can relax and enjoy with your children. The initial price was more than we usually pay, but the breakfast smorg is amazing, and there were lots of little extras and in the end, it was a bargain. There was construction next door, but the hotel compensated us with a free supper and free thai massage, so for us that more than made up for the inconvenience. The grounds were beautiful, the beach quiet, the hotel spotless and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I would go back in a minute!

Its location on Bophut Beach must be one of the best on the island being quiet and peaceful yet within easy reach of shops and restaurants . A superb buffet breakfast is provided in the delightful restaurant overlooking the bay and serviced by charming and friendly staff. We had been warned that construction work was in progress next door and my request for the siting of our bungalow as far away from the development work as possible was honoured and we suffered no disturbance from the adjacent development. We enjoyed the free Thai massage and the beach facilities. Our Superior Garden Bungalow was very comfortable and well equipped. Service throughout was good and staff well trained and helpful. Our only negative comments are that the room was a little dark as it was necessary to close the curtains to prevent passers by from looking in the room. Some form of net curtain or blind would have been useful. Secondly the bathroom,although perfectly functional, would have benefitted from some updating . Hot water to the washbasin and a few hooks come immediately to mind. We have no hesitation in recommending World Resort to anyone providing that they are aware of the neibouring construction work.	Booking service was easy over the internet ,took into account my requests having warned me of potential construction hazard. Excellant.

The hotel was lovely, was on a nice beach (still not too busy) and it had beautiful views from the restaurant. The food was fantasic and fairly priced. It was great value for money and the staff were absolutely brilliant, always smiling with great service. There was some construction going on next door but we still had a wonderful time. The hotel gave us lots of vouchers as compensation for the noise so that was great.I d definately recommend it.	It was greatand easy

We stayed superior cottage that is the next one from beach front cottage.It was so nice. Very clean and huge balcony where we could enjoy watching the beach and read books.Breakfast buffet was not the best because we did not have any steamed rice or boiled one. Pool was spacy and clean. Little bit far from the pier of Boput.	very good.
Marifie Vedder 2007-08-11 until 2007-08-16	World Resort, Bophut Beach The resort location was ideal for family very quite and away from the crowd and noise. The beach was nice and sandy if the tide is high. However, when the tide goes down the water was muddy underneath. The room was big enough for a family (a couple and 2 children)but they don t give you enough supplies for the shower such as shampoo, soap and towel and you need to ask for more. If you are lucky they come quickly or if not it will come the next day. The aircon was not working properly so we have to asked for a fan to supplement it. The food was a little bit more expensive than the other resorts in the neighborhood but it was a good quality. The massage is also expensive compare to the other massage service along the beach. The massage next door was better and cheaper. The pool closed early at 8pm and opened at 8 am which is too late if you want an early dip in the morning. The next time we go back again we might have to try to stay in Chaweng as the beaches looks nicer.	Booking service was great.
DESSEROIT 2007-08-09 until 2007-08-15	World Resort, Bophut Beach We had booked a family bungalow with 2 communicating rooms for 6 nights. After one minute in this old furnitured bungalow we have decided to search for antoher place. We have spent 1 night, paid 2 because of so called early checkout policy. Anyway, even though the restaurant is great, beach is nice, garden also, I did not want to spend my vacations in Samui in a so desperating bungalow. Ok there is air cond, but bathroom and furniture seemed to come from the 60s. Pool was also small and old, with work in progress just around... We found a much much nicer place in Chaeng Mon beach for less money...	Used sawadee on another booking: it was very reactive and smart.
Carla 2007-08-04 until 2007-08-07	World Resort, Bophut Beach we stayed at World Resort for 3 nights and we liked it, is a very nice and quiete resort, rooms are big and clean, there s a nice big swimming pool, a good spa, the food in the restaurant is good and the staff is friendly. It is also near at the fisherman s village where there are many nice restaurants by the sea, I recommend this resort to all doesn t want to be in busy Chaweng but at the same time not too far from it, about 10 minutes by car	Good service and very professional
Cecilia Larsson 2007-07-19 until 2007-07-26	World Resort, Bophut Beach Nice and quiet surroundings. We liked the luxuriant foliage among the bungalows. We had one standard bungalow and one family bungalow, the small bungalow was very nice and genuine thaistyled but the larger bungalow was a little bit of a dissapointment. It was to much cement and no thaistyle at all. The staff was very helpful and nice all the time. The beach was very nice, not crowded at all and had kayaks, jetski rental, salesmen with icecream, clothes, BBQ/fruits, tatoos and more. But there was no hustling, just polite people. There is a lot of dogs on the beach and at the hotel area, they never disturbed us but it could be good to know that they exist. We liked World Resort and the staff and the hole of Koh Samui. But, a warning! The swimmingpool has a broken floor with very sharp edges. Our son injured his foot badly on our third day of our visit and we talked to an other guest whose son had an accident in the same way in the same pool but two years earlier! There was also an other incident during our stay. So beware of the swimmingpool, everything else was nice.	Everything has been smooth and easy!
Yumi Kamohara 2007-07-15 until 2007-07-22	World Resort, Bophut Beach Good location. The bungalow, breakfast and the staff were great. The atmosphere of this resort is excellent. Unfortunately the water in front of the hotel was not clear, although the view of the sea was splendid. There were a few vendors on the beach but they weren t persistent. We recommend this hotel to families and couples.	Great.
G. Messinger 2007-07-14 until 2007-07-20	World Resort, Bophut Beach Resort needs some more fine-touch to justify the nice pictures in the website. Location is one of the main shortcuts- too far from the main attractions, you will no-doubt need to add transportation to your expense budget. The staff in the restaurant was outstanding and so was their willingness to adjust the menu to our taste. The ladies in the massage parlour, although more expensive than usual, were very professional and devoted, I will surely use their service again when I get back to Samui. My son (11yr old) was injured in the swimming pool as a result of sharp broken tiles, needed medical attention while in vacation, and couldn t enjoy the pool or the sea for several days. The rooms we got were very spacious, the joining door is a benefit. Mixed feelings about location and standards might cause second thoughts if I wanted to come again to Samui.	Booking service is very efficient. We got exactly what we expected regarding booking.

The restaurant is surprisingly good and staff is friendly and helpfull. We rented two motorbikes and spent a lovely holiday on Koh Samui.	very efficient

Had an incident with one of our children (she fell off the bed) and the staff were excellent at helping, drove us to the hospital and came and collected us. Excellent location with a nice beach. Only things we would have liked would have been a phone in the room and adjustable air conditioning (could only turn it on and off). But all in all, a great well priced resort ideal for families who want somewhere nice and quiet to relax.	Good and prompt, no complaints at all.

The resort is quite big but because of the layout of the bungalows doesn´t feel impersonal. We booked a buffet for the sonkran festival and we really enjoyed the food and the lovely music. Our accommodation was spacious and very clean. If you like bigger resorts without a corporate feel, I can highly recommend this place!	The booking service was very good. Would definitely use them again.

A little expensive but a lovely spot on the beach not too busy.We had a family bungalow next door to the pool..good size but unfortunately a nasty smell (sewrage)occurred a couple of days in to our stay. Staff were very helpful and moved us to another room promptly. The pool needs repair..a few broken tiles. My daughter cut her foot quite badly on a broken tile. This is a family friendly hotel , our three children 6,8 & 11 enjoyed their stay. At Breakfast a good selection of foods was on offer. Restaurant in a lovely location overlooking the sand and sea..food was good too. We did move after 5 days to Chalee bugalows ( non air conditioned but right on the beach just a hundred metres to the left down the beach) ..5oo baht per night for BASIC bungalow with toilet and shower ...(reminded me more of my time in koh samui 20 years ago!!)We stayed at Chalee for a further 4 nights. Lovely small family run ..just very basic..	Fine..no problems

We have stayed at 5 different resorts in Samui - all were nice however World is the only one we would return to for the following reasons - 1. Location - Bophut beach is wonderful. Quiet, yet not dead - World is located towards the west, but still in walking distance to fisherman s village and other restaurants (King Fisher on the main road to the left is a must to try as well as Baia Italian in Fisherman s village. 2. Rooms are great value for price 3. Size - the resort is not too big, but large enough to be able to offer diversity - included breakfasts, evening dinner & entertainment, and guests. 4. The guests - World seems to bring back many people, many people we talked to have been coming back year after year and love it. Attracts people who are coming to relax and respect each other. 5. Staff - unasuming, and quietly accomadating. All in all - we can t wait to return.	As always reliable and responsive. Thank you.. ko poon ka..
Zachi Laor 2007-03-05 until 2007-03-12	World Resort, Bophut Beach -The best resort in the best beach in Koh Samui.We came a family with 3 kids, intending to spend there a week and stayed 15 days because we had such a great time. The best things: the beach, the pool, the hospitality, the restaurant (great breakfast), the location in the Island (15 min. from Chaweng beach by taxi), the pool+beach massages. The only bad thing is the dogs that share the beach. We ll defenetly return to the resort, and we highly recommend it, especially to families with little kids.	The best.

The superior rooms need updating wasn t happy with this room at all particularly this bathroom far too small and dated. We would stay again but only in delux or honeymoon suite. Staff very good and the food excellent. Would be happy if the dog could get treated for his ear infection he was in pain with it.	Booked direct with the hotel, very good service

We were moved last three nights to the hotel building due to limited availability. The hotel was just as pleasant except for the noise from the street. The restaurant was reasonably priced with great food, with entertainment three times a week. Wait staff occassionaly missed details -- like briging a needed fork with desert -- but nothing drastic. A great resort for kids. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Would most definitely choose this resort again if staying on Samui.	no problems.

It was very easy to stay here with the children (10 and 12 years old). A wonderful garden and a paradisebeach.	We booked two hotels at sawadee.com and it was easy and pleasant. Everything worked out.
