We loved our stay at Sandy! We stayed in one of the standard bungalows with good air conditioning, tv and fan. The air con was great as we could leave on all day, the fact that it was quite noisy was the only issue. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade, but for what you pay is adequate. The pool is awesome especially as the sea isnt the nicest. The restaurant has a wide ranging menu and great beach location. Bo phut is a great location with a really cool fishermans village and not as full on as in chaweng. The staff were the best and really went out of their way, especially if you are nice to them, be rude and you wont get what you want.

Sawadee, was really easy.

This hotel is alittle run down. I paid for a superior room but you get all the same stuff in there cheapest room the only diff is you might get nicer picture on the wall etc but you have to spend for that 400bht( i paid 1200bht and the cheaper room was 800bht!! )! The 1st from I was put in smelt really bad off damp so I asked to move rooms which they did no problem. The resort is about 30min walk from fishermans village which is the nearest village. I wouldn t recommend this hotel only because there are plenty more hotels on the island in better location than this one!

It was a nice place and very friendly, our chalet was cleaned each day, was basic but comfortable. Food was very good with nice views. Beach looked good but sand was coarse and water not as clear so not as nice for swimming but pool was nice alternative.

Great thanks

We had a very nice stay in Sandy Resort for 12 days. The appartment is simple, we knew this, also of the price. But every day they cleaned it and we get new towels. The resort looks very clean as well. The restaurant had very nice Tai food for diner. Also not so expensive. A very relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly people in the resort, a nice small swimmingpool and direct on the beach makes our holliday. So we enjoyed our time and if we go back to Koh Samui, we will book there again.

All the emails for booking were fast and the payement was easy to do on internet. Thanks

This is an excellent out of the way hotel very reasonably priced. We had a luxury chalet which was always clean and tidy imediatly we returned from breakfast. Breakfast was a bit lacking in choice. Food otherwise was good quality and very reasonably priced.

Excellent - No problems

Sandy Resort was recommended to me by two coworkers who have stayed there a few times. I don t know if management has changed since then or if they have less staff working there for the time of year, but the resort was nothing like I expected. From the time we arrived, my wife and I found the staff to be quite rude and unfriendly. The most friendly people there were the ones working the breakfast buffet, which was pretty scant itself (the same few dishes every day). When we got to our room on the first day, we were anticipating something much nicer. Our Deluxe Bungalow had a leaky air conditioner, mold in the bathroom, and was generally quite old looking and not well-kept. Furthermore, cleaning each day consisted of changing the sheets and emptying the garbage. The toilet and sink were not cleaned for days, and we had to ask for more soap. Finally, the icing on the cake, after a week there, was when we requested a transfer to the airport. Usually, you can get a taxi for 200-300 baht. Sandy wanted 300/person, or 600 for both of us, for a 10 minute drive!!! The hour ride from Phuket airport to Karon beach only cost 600 baht last year! When I asked the front desk guy for a break because it would cost much less for a taxi, he simply replied, Go get a taxi then, at 4:30 am. This is not how I, or anyone else likes to be treated on their vacation. In closing, I would have to say that Sandy Resort, though having a great location, was an utter disappointment. As I said, maybe they are understaffed or had a major turnover since my friends stayed there, but I and my wife were very dissapointed with the quality and will definitely NOT be staying there again.

The booking service was very easy and convenient to use. I will definitely use this again and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning on visiting Thailand.

We were not at all satisfied with Sandy resort. In fact, anyone of us has never lived in a hotel room as bad as this one. The room was not clean and had several spots of mould in the roof, the smell of mould was terrible. The breakfast was supposed to be open at 0630 AM, but it was totally empty on the buffet at that time. We were happy that we only planned to stay at Sandy for one night, one more night would have been a disaster.

Booking service through Sawadee was excellent.

Very nice hotel! Our room (a superior room) was spotlessly clean, very nice in general. Like in most other places in Thailand, though, they don t seem to have discovered the shower curtain or how to slope the floor towards the drain in the bathroom, leading to the whole bathroom floor being flooded after every shower. The pool is great, especially since Bophut beach is not so fantastic - it is a bit muddy, and the sand is quite rough. Service was also generally good, but for some reason the daytime staff at the restaurant seemed very nonchalant compared to the very nice evening staff. Anyhow, if you want a few very peaceful days, Sandy is recommended. If you want lots of people and nightlife close by, head to Chaweng instead.

Worked great, as always. Will definitely use again.

Tanks you very much.

Sandy s was nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beach on Bophut is okay. The sand is a little coarse, and at times there was practically no beach because of high tide. They have nice wooden loungers with pads and umbrellas. The pool was nice and very clean. The breakfast was simple but nice, the buffet style allowed for quick service.

We stayed in Sandy for 8 days. The place was wonderful. The rooms were fine.Clean and simple.Hot shower and fresh towels each day. Only the matras is too hard. This is a very nice place to stay for some days. The restaurant is good. The rooms and cabins are in a lovely garden. The pool is ok. But indeed some loose tiles and much Chloor. The price is ok,for what you get. But there are cheaper places. Even Laemset Inn has rooms for this price (1200).And that is a topplace.(only more isolated) Sandybeach was a very, very nice place to stay. The sea is fine, a bit muddy ground, but no one bothers. It is peaceful. Along the beach it is about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the village. One restaurant is great: Starfish and coffee.

booking is excellent. Only taxiprices to and from airport are to high.

Address of Sandy is far from both maenam and bophut town. Breakfast menu is poor. Shower cannot supply hot water and much blow. Sometimes no person is in the front counter. But linen service is ok. Also beach summer bed is confortable to lie down under sunlight.

very disappointing. the bathroom was dripping water constantly from every angel and this nature of course it attracts any kind of animals. That is not very very caring for the visitor. the houses are built in no good condition. the whirlpool was not clean and therefore not turned on for the guests. In room they put as decoration on the walls-dead butterflys, which is in Europe very unlikely to sea, and I think very tasteless. And the service for the food is so slow, it is like slow-motion. I am very sorry but this is my opinion.

worked out very well. but they should have told about the condition.

The hoel is a great place to stay for the price the rooms are old but clean and the staff very nice..... Its an excellent location right on the beach which is very quite with only a few hawkers which are not pushey....The complex also has a pool which is very refreshing after being on the beach all day.... with a poolside resturant which serves great food, a good resturant and cheaper is outside the hotel called a garden. The only thing that i would say is to check the pressure of your shower before checking into your room as some have little or no pressure... All in all a great place to stay for the money and we stayed an extra 4 days...... try it!!!!!

Excellent we will use again.....Thanks.

I have been in Ko Samui about 35 times before, and didn t expect to be planted in a room nearest to the car parking when i book early. We arrived 10.30am and when it was 3.30pm i was sitting in the hospital cleaning a big wound in my foot because the bottom of the swimmingpool was a mess of missing stones.Later i heard(from the staff) that about 5 people has been injured in the last 3 month in the pool. Why don t they fix it??I couldn t swim for a week and humped around for another week..The food was lousy and 60bht for a coffee was way overpriced..We booked and paid for 10days in advance, but we would have moved the first day if we could have done it witout a loss.. The staff was ok friendly, but we never go to Sandy Resort again. And you should nt either..we moved to coco palm resort in Mae nam instead and it was much better (same price, good food and beautiful pool in a peacefull garden).. In Sandy resort we could only hear the mainroad....Shame on them

no problem

Dont be put of by the slightly shabby reception, this is a great place to stay. Cheap, right on the beach, friendly staff, good thai and european food. We stayed for a week with our two year old and really enjoyed it. However you wont like this place if you are used to or expect international standards of accomadation, its more for people who are used to backpacking but want to go up a level.

very good

It was our honeymoon. The hotel is very very nice. Its green and romantic. We rent a bungalow with a/c and near the beach for 3 nights only. But after we realized that its the best hotel in Samui and we prolonged it 10 nights more. Its situated in a very good beach-Boput. The atmosphere is quiet. Of course if you like noise and crowds of people so Chaweng beach is for you. If not Boput is the best place and it takes about 10 min to get to Chaweng by motobyke.

Very nice, no problem at all

Our stay was just for one night, in transit. The front desk helped us get transportation to the airport at a very early hour. I actually never looked at the beach, but we were on the beach side of the street. The rooms were simple and clean. They looked a little like apartments around a grassy courtyard. Not a bungalow feeling. Hot water was nice.

I made a mistake on the first booking (booked one room instead of two) When I got the confirmation for one, I wrote back a return email to say there was a mistake. I never received a reply. I had to do the reservation process all over again. I m not sure if there is a better way to deal with something like that.

The nicely kept surrounds of Sandy Resort and the friendliness of the staff made our these bungalows our first choice as well as our last. Many other outfits were located in rather unattractive areas & after touring around on the scooters a bit we decided we were pretty lucky given that it was Christmas/peak season. The bungalows themselves are perfectly adequite for the price. I d definately stay there again if I returned to Samui. You can rent scooters from them too!

For the price it was ok, but the resort needs a total renovation. The room was quiet ok, but the bathroom was not acceptable. It would be also helpfull, if the stuff, especially at the reception could speek better english.

Beautiful place with top facillities and very helpful people. Loved my 3 days there. We then went on to KO Tao which I didn t like as much. Loo facilities bad! I would love some pics of Sandy resort as I have accidentally deleted all my photos - very upset! The sun loungers were excellent on the beach and by the pool.

Bungalows located in a beautiful shaded garden with bar, restaurant and pool overlooking Bophut beach. Very quiet and relaxing within 10-15 mins of Bophut village along the beach. Unlike neighbouring Chaweng, beach is pretty much free from hawkers. Bungalows are showing signs of age, check air-con, shower & fan. Restaurant is not as good as neighbouring hotels and beach bars. Overall very good value for money.

good qiet resort for the price right on the beach. Would not stay here again but we were only there for about 10 hours. The place is showing its age and needs an upgrade but hence the price. Not a whole lot around the hotel. Staff was excellent and very helpful.

easy during peak season like service will use again no question
