The pool area while small is a beautiful setting. The place is spotless and the rooms kept clean. However, if you are into a really nice spa you probably will be disappointed. While the therapist was good the facilities are limited. Also, the menu of services is not that great eiher. Also. like some other reviews I have read the place is a little pricey for what you get. No water view and the spa not so great for the price. This hotel also has the power automatically shut off in the room when you take out the key. For what they charge per night it would be nice to have the a/c stay on in the room. While I liked Poppies and the service was excellent I didn t see the value for the money. I stayed at a variety of hotels in the 2 months I was in Thailand. From a 400 bath a night bungalow in Koh Tao to the Peninsula in Bangkok. I just feel Poppies is overpriced for what you get.	Went smoothly no problems at all.

David Adams 2006-02-18 until 2006-02-23	Poppies Samui Resort, Chaweng Beach Spent 5 nights at Poppies in February. It was our first hotel in Thailand so we did not know what to expect. The levels of service and the attention to detail were second to none. The restaurant was one of the best that we visited in Chaweng. We later stayed at the other end of Chaweng Beach. We preferred Poppies location as it was a little quieter. However, it all comes at a price. This was the most expensive of the 4 hotels that we stayed in on our trip. Don t be fooled by the comparatively low accommodation costs - they make it up with the meal and drink charges!	No problems at all

Service by the staff unsurpassed, Chef s menu at the top of the island. (I have had dinner there on prior trips, but first time to also stay. Note; last night next door hotel was exploding fire works late at night. I called front desk to complain. Amazingly, next morning without any prompting the desk clerk apologized to me- FOR SOMEONE else s actions!!! Never find that anywhere but Poppies!! My place to stay on future visits. The rooms are first class and the little extra touches that are provided by the hotel make for a rememberable experience. Poppies has the best stretch of the Chaweng beach by far. Excellent hotel for honeymooners.	This is the second time I have booked with Sawadee and I can not fault anything about their service.

My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon there and they far exceeded our expectations. Three days prior to our stay at Poppies my wife broke her foot in Bangkok and needless to say she wanted to return home. Upon our arrival at Poppies we were so overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery and great service that she changed her mind and very glad we did so.	Our booking with Sawadee was pleasant and efficient. I left for my trip feeling confident and sound.

Such a romantic, beautiful, peaceful place, despite being right in the middle of the Chaweng scene. We loved the dual existance of being able to walk to so many great restaurants/bars/shopping/activies, or just stay cloistered in luxury. The service was excellent and intimate, becoming like family members after only a few days. I hope to return many times.	Sawadee.com was easy to use, had the best price for Poppies, and provided excellent service for special requests. I would recommend them to others.
