Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
The Resort was very good, a peaceful and restful holiday. However, not much entertainment in the resort for those looking for something to do. Restaurant and bar prices were a little expensive but on a par with other Hotels. Room were very good and kept nice and clean.

Booking via the internet was simple and hassle free.

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach

Perfect!

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
This hotel is crowded and noisy, good for families only. It is virtually impossible to get a sun-bed after 7am, they are all blocked by fat old people. We ended up renting sun beds at other resorts. The beach sand is very coarse, not nice to walk on like Chaeweng, the water is cloudy but at least it isn t full of sea lice like Chaeweng.

It was straightforward and easy to use.

The hotel was beautiful and the setting of Bo Phut Beach was perfect. I did have one main complaint, the front desk staff were very unhelpful. Their english skills were terrible and every time we had a simple question like how to get a restaurant or where to take yoga classes they responded with I don t know.

Booking service was great

We well enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Nice bedroom (super deluxe villa category) within nice garden and close to the beach. Nice swimming pool and restaurant with excellent food. Quiet place. We much appreciated kindness of all staff. We just did not like that many of the clients (german citizens for most of all) was reserving deckchairs at the pool or on the beach for the all day as soon as they were stood up.

No problems

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
Peace Resort is a fairly nice place with a very nice pool and pool area. The squiggle shaped pool is about 25 meters long and has a bubble pool area at one end, much to the kids delight. There is also a kids pool and a small playing ground. We stayed in a standard garden villa. It was quite small and there were neither any closet nor any place to put the suitcases. The bathroom was also smallish with no curtain for the shower. A strange detail was that the bathroom door had a clear glass window, and when lying in the bed you had a perfect view of that the partner were doing on the toilet seat. What on earth was the architect tinking of? Another bad thing was that the fridge was filled with overpriced crap that we did not want, and meant that it was hard to squeeze in the things we really wanted in the fridge. The resort is quite close to the main road, and we were unlucky enough to get a bungalow at the far back, so traffic was quite audible from the veranda and the bath room. The only reason why the traffic was not a problem in the bed room was because it was drowned by the noise from the unmodern aircon that sounded like a car was running its enginge inside the room, even at the lowest speed setting. The floor was tiled also in the bedroom, but we would prefer a wooden flooring. All in all, the standard bungalow was not at all what we expected at this price level. At Maenam beach we had a much larger and more modern bungalow with nice wooden flooring, bathtub and empty fridge for considerably less money. The restaurant has a squarish design of concrete and wood, and is more Japanese in style than Thai. It served very nice food, but it was overpriced, especially the drinks. And 10% service charge and tax was added to the already high prices. But there are several nice and cheaper alternatives along the beach if you walk in the western direction. And in the evenings we walked to the nearby Fisherman s Village where there are many restaurants and shops in a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the ambition level of the restaurants has declined since we were here 5 years ago. We visited almost all Thai food restaurants there, but at no place was the food of the same quality as we got for less money at Maenam and Chaweng, but the atmosphere is nicer. The breakfast were included in the price, and we found it very good. There was a large selection of food which was changed from day to day. The staff is attentive and nice. Is this a place we would like to return to? Well, Bophut is a nice beach and the pool at Peace resort was very nice indeed. But the small, rather unmodern bungalow is the reason why we would probably would try to seek out another althernative with better price/performance.

The booking serveice worked very well indeed, as always.

this resort is just amazing, very clean and everything is perfect.the garden around the villas are beautiful.the food at the restaurant is very good and people are absolutly kind. Now i have beautiful memorys about thai people and for this i have to thank the peace resort s stuff.they really take care of customers. the only thing i may complain,it s just that the stuff don t speak english very well, but i think is a problem everywhere in thailand;i ve been around and really few people could understand me..whatever i highly raccomend this resorts to people who want to feel at home even if they are so far away..

very quick booking service with sawadee web site.clear and easy to use.it helped me many times to find nice places and to get informations..congratulation

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
Pool, beach and restaurant was fantastic. However; I can not recommend this resort due to the fact that it is seriously over-prized. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow at the price of baht 17500 per night. At that price we expected luxury, comfort and privacy - but did not get any of it. The bungalow was worn down; windows and doors lacked paint and could not shut properly, and eventhough we locked the door anyone could open it. We had ants and bugs in our beds, the aircondition made so much noise we could hardly sleep, and the water-temperature in the shower was impossible to adjust. As for privacy and beachfront - well, just meters away from the bungalows porch was 12 sunbeds, with other hotelguests on them from early morning to late night.4 persons is way to many in these tiny bungalows - we could hardly see the floor or move around... We expected so much more regarding the accomodation.

Very efficient

Enjoyed my first stay here. I visit Bophut around 6 times a year and would rather stay here than my favourite being Anatara when comparing price.(Anatara only had USD850 suits left when booking) Poolside staff brilliant, just overshadowing the other highly focussed resort staff. Has a lovely long beachfront which provides great cover from sun and the imediate sea is protected from the ever increasing numbers of jet-ski s so a safe swim garuanteed. Thought the pool had far too many chemicals but I seemed to be the only one with very red eyes. Nicely located so a walk to Fishermans Village not too much trouble. Slightly disapointed with the buffet breakfast - they where trying to hard and failed and have had better experiances in places for half the money - this unfortunatley tainted my thoughts about food served there and I did not bother to eat at the resort for lunch or dinner, but that really does not matter as there are so many dinning options in close proximity. Annoyed as always with places stating they are environmently friendly that insist on changing towels daily when you take the time to refold yourself and replace on the towel rack. Along the beach there are many thrown togther salas offereing massages and manicures - they have this spot on here by locating not slap bang on the beach with every passerby watching as you get pulled and pushed, but actually just on their property offering some privacy. I didnt stay in one but the beachfront villa s do not offer any privacy, if that is what you require, when sitting and relaxing in your own space. Overall this place is a winner and will stay agian without question.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Peace Resort - the staff went out of their way to do everything they could for us. The accommodation was fantastic and cleaned every day, the pool was a welcome relief from the heat and the food was fabulous!! Highly recommended to everyone who needs a bit of rest and recuperation !!!

After 7 days of trekking in Umphang Jungle, was Peace Resort like heaven for us, very nice and clean bungalows, beautifull pool and garden, a good restaurant for all meals, and all staff was very smily and friendly. Only minus is the water by the beach, witch could have been more clear. Hopefully we will be back, sometime.

No problems, this was a very good way of booking

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Peace Resort for our 25th wedding anniversary. Our bungalow was just across from the office and was clean and stylish with a spacious bathroom but we didn t have much place to hang all of our clothes so we couldn t keep it as tidy as when we arrived. The beach was wonderful and excellent for swimming, the pool as well. The dining room was ideally situated but there could have been a little better bar area for sitting around and socializing. It was peaceful and well situated for our needs because we could easily get into the little fishing village for some shopping and restaraunts and avoid the insanity of the major beach scene. It was rainy every day but it didn t matter because it was warm and never lasted long. The staff were efficient but not particularly friendly or outgoing. We are Canadian and found that at the time that we were there it was mostly German guests and not particularly social. Some Brits did arrive the last day we were there. All-in-all we loved our stay and would recommend the Peace Resort highly.

Sawadee was excellent for our needs because we did not want to waste our valuable holiday looking for accomodation so I was able to set it up all beforehand. It worked for us.

Lovely! The bungalows are cute and clean, the pool is pretty, there are lots of chairs to look out at the beach- the restaurant has GREAT food and a nice staff. The only drawback was that the sand on the beach at Bo Phut is really spiky and hard and not pleasant to walk on! But the resort itself is great for couples especially and is not too far a walk from the Fisherman s Village town with restaurants, etc.

easy! great! though would be nice if there were always both the phone number and email address of the hotels listed so we could contact in case of emergencies....

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
I fully recommend this hotel for its location, service, and facilities. NO, this is not a biased plug for the hotel. We really had a pleasant experience. The staff was very attentive, pleasant and accommodating. We had the sea-view bungalow. It was very nice and pleasant. We had a patio that got a lot of use from us. And we used the pool a lot. The hotel is located in the best part of the beach. And it is a very nice beach indeed (I’ve stayed in Chaweng and Lamai). If you want to party, just walk up and down the beach for the late night bars and party scene. If you really want to party, then stay in Chaweng or better yet go to Phuket. This is a very nice hotel. It is not a five star hotel, not that they’re claiming that they are, but they are not lacking for anything. Nice Beach, nice facilities, nice staff, and great prices. It is a great place to unwind, relax, and enjoy the ocean. Highly recommended.

Excellent as always.

Peace Resort, Koh Samui, Bophut Beach
We stayed in a Sea Facing bungalow which was excellent. The bungalow was well decorated, very quiet, had a comfortable large bed and good sized accomodation with lots of space to move about. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The outlook was very pleasant, on to a garden area, pool, and eventually the sea! The bungalows are close together (as everywhwere on Samui) but are well planned to avoid overcrowding. Breakfast was O.K. Need to get the timing right to avoid queues of hungry northern Europeans waiting for the one cook to fry eggs and omelettes. Resort restuarant pleasantly situated by the beach. Direct access on to the very good beach, resort provides deck chairs for guests use. Resort is 15 minutes walk into Bohput village with it s good choice of eating. Resort staff and management friendly and willing to please. This is a good mid-range resort, value for money and we would stay there again if in Samui.

Excellent booking service. System worked very smoothly. We will use Sawadee.com again.

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
My wife and I stayed at the Peace Resort for our honeymoon. we both HIGHLY recommend this hotel as we found it to be simply excellent. The service, staff was great and most of all the beach was amazing. The best thing about this resort is that its a little secluded and you dont get a lot of tourists at the beach, so you have a little bit of privacy. The pool, the rooms and the resaurant are fabulous. This place is definately a 5 star accomodation even though it doesnt seem like so in the website. We stayed at the beachfront room and this was also great. We recommend this place to everyone who wants a peaceful holiday.

the booking was smooth and simple.

We had a beach front bungalow which had nice views of the beach/sea. The accomdation was clean a spacious. There was a nice pool. The accomodation catered for package tourists from Europe and provide buffet style breakfast which was adequate. The resort was fine and well kept but I prefer something a little saller and more intimate.

Very helpful and reliable and easy to use.

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
My wife and I loved our stay at Peace Resort and we were sad to leave. The staff was very friendly, the food was quite tasty, and the atmosphere was very laid back and peaceful. Along our travels in Thailand we heard some bad stories about Samui - always about Chaweng & Lamai being crowded, somewhat obnoxious, and over-developed. Bophut was the oppostie. It had a great local flavor and was quite calm . We would highly recommend Peace Resort and if we ever return to Thailand, we would stay there again without a doubt.

Our experience with Sawadee.com was absolutely without flaw! We wish every country had as easy and useful a resourse.

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
Peace Resort is very peaceful. No loud music at Peace or any of the neighbouring resorts or bars. We had a beachfront bungalow and could hear the sea while lying in bed and the views were excellent. The bungalows are spacious, clean and comfortable. The resort is very well kept. Staff are about early every morning sweeping and cleaning the grounds and bungalows are cleaned daily. The pool is beautiful and I would recommend the massage area by the pool. A large seletion is provided for breakfast in their lovely dining area right by the beach. We loved it, it was the perfect place to relax in beautiful surroundings.

I initially tried to book direct with Peace Resort but couldn t get a written confirmation so I went to Sawadee.com and asked them to confirm the booking for me, which was very easy. You pay half up front then pay the balance at the end of you stay.

Perfect. Away from busy Chaweng Beach. Cottages are immaculate, private and have AC. Staff is super friendly, attentive and speak English well. The food is excellent and cheap and served in an open air restaurant. Beach is beautiful, pool is large and clean. $5/hour poolside massages a real plus! Full, high end spa next door for other services is also top notch. Very family friendly. Rental cars available for $25 a day. We ll be back next year!

Wonderful facility in a great location. Clean, comfortable and a good staff. Rooms are new, very stylish and well cared for. Restaurant situated at beach side is great, with a good variety of Thai and Western food. The evening seafood BBQ was excellent. There are occasional vendors on the beach to buy treats from, but you are not hassled like at more popular spots. A convienent place for young children, especially the childrens pool for younger kids. Constant construction going on next door was an annoyance though. If I had known before hand I would not have booked there (my husband says it was no big deal). I should have been told and/or discount should have been offered because it is hard to have Peace when skillsaws etc. are working away all day and into the late evening. Also, why do they use such deceptive labelling with their bungalows? Most of the beach front bungalows can t even see the water, let alone give direct access to the sand as the name would imply. Sea facing ? Why not call it sky facing or Ground facing for all the real meaning that it carries... Other than these annoying features, a very nice place.

Peace Resort, Bophut Beach
First impressions when travelling in Bophut to the resort was `Basic, spread out and STILL UNSPOILT`. Peace Resort is very pleasant surprising, Bungalows are very comfortable and had AC, fridge etc. The grounds, pool, restaurant and beach were exceptionally clean and within easy walking distance of many local establishments for food and drink. Also only 15mints by tut tut taxi to the busier Chaweng beach. Peace by Name and Nature, the ideal retreat for chilling out and relaxing with cocktails while sitting in your deck chair as the sea flows around you. Definately the resort I will go back too gain and again before it becomes too commercialised

No complaints here, the information given on the web pages are very good.
