GUILLAUME COURTOIS 2008-11-10	Papillon Resort, Chaweng Beach Malgré la pluie battante qui s est abbatue lors de nos 5 jours passés sur cette île, nous avons été très satisfait de l hotel. Les gérants français sont très sympas et leur personnel thaïlandais est également très bien. Seul hic, deux chantiers sont des côtés de l hotel avec des bruits de marteau de 9h à 18h tous les jours. Si nous l avions sur nous aurions surement changé d hotel.	Rien à dire

What is preferable is to add more channels, as now the channels are mostly on Thai language, only one channel is in English. Final opinion - good level of provided services.

Our villa was good and the staff are lovely and friendly. We enjoyed Koh Samui a lot better than the hustle and bustle of Patong Beach. Next time we will go straight to Koh Samui.	Booking through sawadee was simple and replies were instant.

The free breakfast is good, not buffet but a wide range of options. The rooms were clean and pleasant. The pool is really nice and clean and well set up. The massages were great. Highly reccomended value for money. A short walk along the beach into town, just cut through a resort.	Very prompt and easy to use and safe

Gilles and his Thai co-manager are very forthcoming. The small pool and lack of beachfront may put some off, but we felt the trade-off was well worth it.	Smooth and painless - good job
Oláh Daniella 2008-03-02 until 2008-03-15	Papillon Resort, Chaweng Beach This was our second time at Papillon, we enjoyed the same beautiful surroundings as before: palm trees, orchids everywhere, lovely pool and jacuzzi, right by the sea. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts, and good position if you have wheels - otherwise bit difficult to get downtown. If afraid of bugs, don t choose the standard bungalow, go for a superior or suite (we had a standard this year with huge spiders, black worms, and some undefined things, while last year no problems in the superior, except a gecco or two). Great value for money.	Excellent, no problems whatsoever.

The Superior Bungalow was very spacious and clean, the water power was a bit rubbish but that is a small criticisms . Sak the Thai manger was a great person and I thoroughly recommend visiting his restaurant up the road. Would definitely stay again.	Multi booked trip and not one problem. Very good company.

Situated in the north end of Chaeweng, this means you will not be disturbed by all the beachsalesmen that walks among Chaeweng beach.Managed by a Frenchmen, all the staff was very friendly and serviceminded, good food,good breakfast,nice pool,very good cleaning.We got new sheets every day!My family will certainly return to this resort next time we are in Samui!	Perfect as usual!

But the beach there is not as nice as the center of Chaweng. But very high value of money.	Good efficiency. But no reply from them when I wrote them email. Maybe the email address shows in the letter is wrong. But immediately reply once you make order on their website.

ANTONIO PROIETTI ROCCHI 2007-08-04 until 2007-08-18	Papillon Resort, Chaweng Beach Il Papillon Resort e una struttura fantastica, buon cibo europeo e Thai un servizio eccellente su tutti i profili. Locali puliti e un management di 1° livello- Consta di 24 bungalow di varie dimensioni per le svariate esigenze. Il mio il numero 23 era veramente accogliente a grande 30 mq reali, con frigo-bar, acqua calda, ventilatore da soffitto, aria condizionata, e un bel letto matrimoniale il tutto contornato da quadri e rifiniture di pregio. Ovviamente un bel bagno interno al bungalow veramnte perfetto. Vicino al mare veramente pochi passi. Poi chi dice che i taxi non arrivano ..beh dico che si sbagliano. con soli 200 bath si arriva e si parte dal Papillon per la vita notturna di Chaweng- Se poi volete ancora risparmiare in motorbike con l autista e voi dietro potete essere accompagnati per soli 100 bath. Se siete invece esigenti potete noleggiare un motorbike quest ultima ipotesi da me scartata per non esistono assicurazioni e se vi capita qualcosa pagate di vostra tasca. Un grazie ancora per il servizio al Management e ai titolari, ai ragazzi dello staff veramente amichevoli. Beh non vi resta che arrivare a Koh Samui e prenotare al Papillon Resort.	Il servizio del booking service e veramente perfetto . tutto praticamente in tempo reale. Lo consiglio per viaggiare in Thailandia. veramente perfetto. ------- The booking service is very perfect!! in real time u can book your hotel or bungalow reservation. Thank U sawadee . Nice quiet hotel, with good food and cocktails (albeit pricy for Thailand). Only downsides was the room smelled of damp slightly and there were lots of mosquitos and no mozzie net. However the receptionist provided us with a can of mozzie spray for the room, which we sprayed the room before heading out and killed the lot. Air con worked well.	No problems - worked fine.

We were a group of 7 people and all of us enjoyed our stay in Papillon Resort. Not to forget the excellent service and support we got from the staff of Papillon Resort. We highly recommend people to stay in Papillon Resort. Beautifull place for Couples to spend time..... If I got a chance I will definitely go back to the same Hotel.. The bungalow was Ok and you could choose between different breakfast, that was good because you could take a new breakfast every day so you want get tired of it. The only bad thing with the hotel was the location. To get to the center you have to take a taxi, and you could not catch a taxi right outside the hotel, you have to walk about 500 meter and there is a long uphill slope. And when you wanted to go back to the hotel, the taxi never drived to the hotel, they left you at the same spot as you catch the taxi, 500 meters from the hotel. But it was nice and quiet at night. I could really recommend this hotel it is very worth its price.	Perfect, very easy!!!

A bit of a trek to get into town but it was nice to be away from all the noise. Any problems with the rooms were fixed immediately & I have to mention our wonderful breakfast waiter who was teaching us to speak Thai.	Excellent

About a 15 minute walk from the centre of the action but a very cheap cab fare anyway. I think this is an advantage as you can relax in peace and quiet yet still get to all the action very quickly/inexpensively.	Very good

Location although slightly out of city but yet not too far with ample taxies asking above average prices.Location is good for relaxation and peace and the beach is good for swimming. Breakfast is excellent and the staff very helpful and always curteous with a smile.Accommodation was excellent and rooms attended daily. Excellent.	Easy to book and had no problems.

Food great and service v friendly and prfessional. Good sized rooms with lots of traditional Thai decor. Excellent breakfasts included each morning.	Excellent booking service, got reply from hotel regarding reservations within 24 hours each time. V reliable.

Pat Grant 2007-01-03 until 2007-01-10	Papillon Resort, Chaweng Beach We loved this resort. It is not 5 star in appearance but with the service and friendliness of the staff it felt like a 5 star. We were with our two children (age 4 and 2). Great pool for the kids. The resort is outside the craziness of Chaweng which makes it a nice quiet place to relax...but not too far that a quick 5 minute scooter ride gets you into the action. I rented a scooter from the resort...6 bucks (Canadian) a day...it was fun...but be careful in town...it is very busy. The food at the resort was awesome! When the tide is low you can walk down Chaweng beach for exercise as well as numerous beachside restaurants to choose from. Thai massage was good and inexpensive (10 bucks for an hour). Recommend this resort for families. For a family you can rent two garden suites that are attached...it will sleep up to six.	Great...no problems.

The rooms were large and well styled. Good shower. The restaurant s service is very fast and friendly, the best coffee! Tasty food. But the best thing is the management, they are very reasonable, they refunded us the money for the 1st night we missed because of flight delays. Most hotels would tell you to ask the airline for the money. The resort has a great vibe because of the French managers, they are helpful and friendly. We would defintely stay here again.	Easy. No problems.

Loved having the option of also swimming in a pool when the tide was out. Our complimentary massage was great. The room was nice for the price. The staff was great. Restaurant was great too. Our only draw back was no one met us at the airport when we arrived as was promised, but the manager made it up to us by upgrading our room. We would definetly stay at this resort again.	easy to use. Answer came back within hours of our booking. Only draw back was no one picked us up at airport.

The booking service needs some improvement - I added two extra days (just for myself) to the five days my daughter had already booked for myself and other family members, but when I arrived at the Papillion, they didn t have the reservation for the five days. Luckily they were very accomodating about it (and I brought along my confirmation printout, too).

We were upgraded to large bungalow no charge and staff was amazing especially Gill. Food was great. Massages are high quality with people coming from other places just for them. I would highly recommend for couples or families. Really got us quickly into the vacation mode.	Excellent.

If we are lucky to go to Koh Samui again we would love to stay at Papillon. This is a place I can really recomend.

We also liked the location.It is a bit away from the more popular night life spots but takes 7 min walk to get there.So you wake up in jungles and go to party.The stuff was very friendly and food was excellent.Will stay there next time again. We stayed a couple of nights then headed to Ko Tao for a few days and returned to Ko Samui for just a part day as we needed to get to the airport. They let us leave our bags and helped us with airport transport even though we were no longer paying guests. The walk to town is a little long, but I appreciated the quiet, away from the booming center of Chaweng.	No problems. Everything was in order when we arrived.

The French staff were polite and friendly (even tho we were English ;-)) The breakfasts were good - lots of choice and the service was really good and tea and coffee plentiful! Bit of a walk from anything on the main road though.. unless you can walk along the beach.	Wonderful!

The food and staff are tremendous, location could not have been better, if we are lucky enough to return to Ko samui, we shall definelty be staying here. Tremendous Value for money. The pool is nice and the rooms are good too. I found the location great, you can walk to all other resorts in North Chaweng and into town via the beach. The breakfast is not all that though, which didn t encourage me to eat there for dinner	good, no problem at all
