Samui Mountain Village is perched on a tropical hillside above Coral Cove on Koh Samuis east coast. We are halfway between the two most popular beaches, Chaweng and Lamai. Our large property (4000 m2) has six individual villas, each with its own personality. Lonely Planet recommended us in their Thailand`s "Islands and Beaches".
We have six individual studio villas. They range in size from 40 m2 to 75 m2. There is a large sala poolside. Each villa has a large balcony or deck, sitting area, kitchen and bathroom. The kitchens are all equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, toaster, blender, refrigerator, cook top and all utensils.
About the hotel: Wonderful peaceful place with a heavenly view, far above the frantic activity of Chaweng. The hill is indeed very steep. Extremely clean and comfortable rooms and beautifully landscaped grounds and pool. We will be back...

About the hotel: An absolute gem of a place. Marvellous location, excellent and spacious accommodation, with privacy and ideal facilities/amenities. Attentive and friendly management team and all at a very reasonable price. Fully intend to return here next year.

About the hotel: what a fantastic find. after spending hours looking at hotels and villa s to stay in, my friends and I finally decided on Samui Mountain Villas. Definately not disappointed with the choice. When booking online you never know what you ll get, but these Villa s were everything as described and more. Don t let the fact that it s on a hill put you off. the view from up high is amazing, the sea breezes cool, the location is perfect, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng and Lamai, but close enough to get what you need. The staff and management are friendly and very helpfull, couldn t ask for any more than that. And if you do stay there, don t let the extremely steep hill put you off walking - it s a tough walk up, but you just have to do it at least once (does wonders for the calf muscles). We would defiantely go back

About the hotel: Second time to SMV (first in 2007).
Wonderful place, with fabulous view on the sea from your terrace (we are in Palm Villa n°6) and from the pool of course (see the picture...)! The team of SMV is friendship and very welcoming : more than an hotel, you feel like at friend s home. The spacious villa is full equipped and very comfortable. We spend 14 days and all was perfect (we will never forget breakfast on the terrace in every morning...). As we notice on this forum last year, SMV is not for the people who needs activities or noise (prefer for it the hotels directly on Chaweng beach...). But if you like peaceful and romantisme , it is for you ! And rent a car (ask to Bill by e mail : he will arrange all for you...). We are impatient to return there in 2009 !

About the hotel: We stayed here for a week at the end of our extended traveling honeymoon, and it was a perfect place to relax. The staff were so helpful and willing to take us places. They even gave us the use of their mobile phone to call if we didn t feel like climbing up the hill. The views are amazing and the facilities perfect with private deck overlooking the bay, king bed, cable tv with heaps of dvds, and a small kitchen which means you don t have to leave the resort if you wish. It really was an amazing place and the perfect escape.
About the hotel: What a magical place to get away and relax! Melissa and I were that impressed by our first visit to Samui Mountain Village in May07 that we snuck another visit back to SMV in December. We stayed in Villa 6 and we love the personal touch that the all the villas offer. They’re very comfortable, self-contained and just a short car/bike trip to some of the islands best places to eat.
SMV offers great privacy, priceless views (especially from the pool and Villa balconies) and also has a management and support team that are friendly and there to look after you, right from the moment you land at Samui International. They’re very knowledgeable on things local to the island. Just ask….
Everyone looks for something unique they enjoy or seek when on holidays. For Mel and I, it’s a place to relax, but also knowing that adventure and nightlife is just around the corner. If this is your choice of holiday also, then SMV is a great place to stay.
We’ll definitely be back in 08 for our honeymoon!

About the hotel: Great spot on the mountain - clean, quiet, fantastic ocean view, nice pool. Stocked refrigerator and full kitchen in villa make up for the lack of nearby restaurants and food shops. Appreciated the free internet and satellite TV. Good walking trails nearby. Good to have car or motorbike available.
About the hotel: Very friendly staff and nice quiet villas with exceptionaly beautiful views.
Not reccomended for families with children due to steep hill and location.

Way up the mountain from Coral Cove, this place has the undisputed best
views in Samui and boasts the largest verandas from which to enjoy them.
The bungalows have a kitchen and all the necessary mod-cons to make long-term
stays comfortable. The friendly owners also offer discounted weekly rates
and the fridge comes stocked with fruit, milk, juice and bread daily!
We are 500 meters from the Ring Road up a steep hill above Coral Cove.
Neighboring properties are Eden Rock, and Sandalwood. Sandalwood has an
excellent restaurant.
ACCOMMODATION
We have six individual studio villas. They range in size from 40 m2

Sky Villa 2 and Moonrise Villa 3 are 40 m2, including the covered balcony
and have smaller kitchens.
Sunrise Villa 1 has a small extra room with a separate entrance. It
can only be rented with Villa 1. It is perfect for two people traveling
together that do not want to share a bed or a third person. Or the perfect
place to work on your computer, it has a great view. This room has a toilet
and sink, but no shower.
Big Rock Villa 4 Big Rock Villa 4 is the
most private and is the only villa with an open deck instead of a covered
balcony. It is 75 m2 including the deck.
Fern Villa 5 Fern Villa 5 has the
most contemporary feel about it. It is 75 m2, including the covered
balcony and has a large open plan kitchen with a view.
Palm Villa 6 Palm Villa 6
is 70 m2 including the large covered balcony. Its large kitchen is separate
from the living area
