Malibu Beach Resort warmly furnished in modern Asian style, the interior decor creates the kind of peace you will welcome after a day spent in the surf or following an evening in the whirlwind nightlife scene its all just a few minutes walk from Malibu which is located directly on Chaweng Beach. All our comfortable designed rooms are nestled in tropical garden and provide all modern amenities.
About the hotel: The hotel looked good on the internet,i would only rate it a 2 star.The water in our room was brown throughout our stay also the smell of the drains was on times overpowering.The staff were very helpful and polite.The pool was excellent but there was no shade from the sun,the loungers had no parasols.You could have a massage on their part of the beach but from 4pm the hotel played loud music on the beach so one couldn,t consider a massage as relaxing after 4pm.The location was horrendous,sandwiched between 2 lots of jet-skis about 20m apart.Going into the sea was hazardous because you had to be aware of the skis.The hotel was only interested in getting people walking on the beach to buy cocktails from their table on the beach,the music was blaring from 4pm to 1am,the boys working on the beach were having their own little party,they loved playing the music so loud that come 4pm the guests would leave their loungers on the beach and make a hasty retreat.We could not stay on the beach after 4pm when the sun was not so hot.We stayed in the furthest but one room from the beach yet we couldn,t get to sleep till after 1pm because the music was played so loudly,we complained it was turned down for one night but that was it.We left the Malibu totally exhausted,we would never ever recommend the hotel to anyone over the age of 25.We work hard for our money and having our holiday ruined by the attitude of the hotel is to be honest enough to make one cry.The hotel is in dire need of some maintanance work,a fence was removed and renewed,the workers left the fence on the beach and there it stayed throughout our stay.There was rubbish left by the hotel on the beach,even the boys who sold the cocktails on the beach threw their cigarette ends onto the sand.
About the reservation service: If i had known what the hotel was like i would not have paid in full.Having paid in full stopped us moving to another hotel.
About the hotel: I booked a Deluxe Jacuzzi, double, and by the way this is not my first time to Thailand or the its Islands so I am aware of Hotels and Services in such places…The pictures of Malibu on the Website are WAY different than the reality, Very Narrow small Beach to start with, Bathrooms smells Sewage all the time, out of the Room the same smell makes you feel throwing up, incredibly Dark Rooms makes you feel depressed, Only Thai channels on the TV and Thai Menu setting if you even tried to adjust the setting. Air-condition is not that good, same sheets for “5 nights” they come into your room to adjust it and that’s ALL, there is a safe box in the room and they still ask you to put your stuff in another safe box at the reception (which leave a BIG question mark) and you have access to your things from 7:30 to 10:00 pm and not after that?!?!?!
The breakfast is extremely POOR, disgusting awful Coffee to start your morning with.
Honestly I am wondering how people put such high marks in their review!!!
Why? And based on what giving 9.2 overall satisfactions!!
As the ONLY positive thing was the Location “end of the Story” anyways it is my first and last time there and NOT recommended.
About the hotel: A nice , pleasant resort to spend your vacation in Chaweng. It combines in an ideal way quiet- even for day sleeping after the parties - and a very convenient position to the night bar and club scene.The beach is fine, without the overcrowded rows of sun umbrellas met some hundret meters norther on Chaweng Beach. Superior B Bungalows are roomy, convenient, pleasant and in a generally OK condition. Apart from that the air-conditioner was not effective enough,everything worked. The resort personnel are really helpful and kind and do their best in service,although English language is not the strong point of communication with Thais! The menu has a good variety at reasonable prices and food - aspecially Thai dishes - is fine.So the only criticism is, that -despite former request and confirmation- the room safe box was out of order, due to a renovation, and this caused the inconvenience to use the reception safe box.I would definitely stay again in Malibu Beach Resort next time on Koh Samui.
About the hotel: Such a nice place to stay if you are in Samui ...located right on the centre of Chaweng beach ...a private hut in nice location...swimming pool and then the most imp thing - Sea....i would say best beach area is along Malibu beach resort....massage parlour right next to beach...good breakfast..everything available and right in place...we had a memorable experience...will live there again . Highly recommended.
About the hotel: It was a good hotel. very well located in the heart of samui. people who want to have fun alongwith a pleasant stay should visit malibu. the staff was very cooperative, though language was a little bit of a problem. the ambience, food, hospitality was good. the bathroom needs to be much cleaner.at the end of day it was a good experience.
About the reservation service: Sawadee is simply brilliant!!!! It was simply a pleasure to deal with them. They just made life simpler then one could imagine!!!

About the hotel: gret location, center - good part of beach for kids, great walking distance in chaweng. very friendly staff and good organised from checkin till check out - back there at anytime ;-)

About the hotel: The hotel was great and right in the middle of all the action on chewang. The breakfast was good and all that would be expected of a thai hotel trying to cook an american breakfast but the eggs were individually cooked for you and there was juice, good coffee and cereal (what more do you need). We stayed in a standard A room 9 (room A1 to be precise) and it was fantastic very clean and linen and towls changed everday as well as towels provided for the beach. The bathroom is well used and could do with re grouting here and there but you only spend 10 minutes in the bathroom so who cares. Massage on the beach great and there are a number of massures who are very friendly and just at the bootom of the steps to Malibu. Deck chairs around the pool and on the beach easily enough for everyone. Overall very good especially for the price the location
