About the hotel: We have stayed at Long Island in 2000 and 2007 and it still has that same wonderful appeal,peacful with wonderful staff and beautiful food!We are planing to go back soon and do as we did and spoil yourself to a beach bungalow,it is so social!
About the reservation service: Great service with efficient pickup and drop off at airport.No problems whatsoever.
About the hotel: I really advise against staying at Long Island Resort! When we checked in we directly saw that the pictures at Internet regarding the rooms didn´t correspond to the reality. After complaining to the hotel staff we where informed that the pictures was taken 8 years ago!! The room really sucks and is in a desperate need of renovation. We only stayed one night, and that was more than enough! I also wan´t to inform that the northern part of the Lamai beach is an old coral reef. You can´t bath in the sea here! In the morning is the low tide, and you then need to go over the reef about 200 meters to reach the water (not recommendable) and in the afternoon (3 pm) the water is about 0,5 m deep and dirty. Also the beach was full of garbage! We was lucky to be able to change hotel to Baan Talay at Chaweng beach and this was really a paradise. We recommend this instead !

About the hotel: Long Island Resort was brilliant - the room was nice, but the pool and beach were even nicer! Really good bar and restaurant as well and a cool pavillion for lounging on cushions and hammocks. We met some really nice people here and the staff were also really helpful. It s well worth the 50baht songthaew ride into Chaweng of an evening to stay in this resort - we wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely come back next time we re in Thailand.

The Superior air-conditioned bungalows are stylish and comfortable.
They equipped with cable television, air conditioning, fully stocked
mini-bar and a hot water shower. The rooms are perfect for couples
and twin or double beds are available. All Superior bungalows have a
terrace with seating and a table.
Superior Deluxe Bungalow Air, CableTV., Minibar
Superior Deluxe rooms have one large bedroom with a small living
area. They are located close to both the beachfront and the swimming
pool area. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have cable
television, air conditioning, fully stocked mini-bar and a hot water
shower. These bungalows would be suitable for a small family or
group. Twin and double beds are available and additional extra beds
can be added if necessary. All Superior Deluxe bungalows have a

101 is one large room and has a king size bed and French doors
opening out onto your private terrace. The bungalow has lots of
light and amazing views of the bay! This is one of the most romantic
bungalows in the resort! Facilities include air conditioning,
stereo, fully stocked mini-bar, cable dish television, hot water and
DVD player. Fresh flowers and fruit are delivered daily.
Beach Front Suite 201 Air, Cable TV, DVD, Minibar
201 is one large room and has a king size bed and French doors
opening out onto your private terrace. The bungalow has lots of
light and amazing views of the bay! This is one of the most romantic
bungalows in the resort! Facilities include air conditioning,
stereo, fully stocked mini-bar, cable dish television, hot water and
DVD player. Fresh flowers and fruit are delivered daily.
Beach Front Suite 300 Air, Cable TV, DVD, Minibar
300 is the largest suite and again has a master bedroom with a king
size bed and a spacious living room area. The bungalow is
beautifully designed and has the following facilities air
conditioning, fully stocked mini-bar, cable dish television, stereo,
hot water and a VCD player. The bungalow also has an semi out door
bathroom (don't worry you cannot be seen from the outside) and a
large terrace with views of the bay. The beach is below the bungalow
and the sound of surf is the only noise that you will hear when you
arise in the morning. Fresh fruit and flowers are delivered daily.
We recommend this bungalow for families.
Beach Front Suite 401 Air, Cable TV, DVD, Minibar
401 is a suite with a bedroom (King size bed) and living room both
with views of the ocean. The facilities include air conditioning,
fully stocked mini-bar, cable dish television, stereo, hot water,
and VCD player. An additional bed can be added if there are more
than two guests. There is also a large terrace with seating and
tables if you wish to dine al fresco or just have a few sundowners
in private. Fresh flowers and fruit are delivered daily. The
bungalow is 4 meters from the beach and very cozy!
