maria 2008-11-11	Lolita Bungalow Samui, Maenam Beach Went in the rainy season, got a seafront bungalow. On the whole beach there were only two other couples (no kids !!! thanks God). Since I hate crowds I liked it. Very quiet, rural feeling. Bungalow pretty clean, but the aircon was just no use, it didn t provide any coolness and had the sound of a taking off jumbo-jet. On my leaving the managing lady refused to call me a minibus to the aiport, and was insisting on taxi (which turned out to be not an official taxi, but a relative/friend of her driving a pick-up car) so instead of 150 Baht it cost me 500 to get there.
Reto Tischhauser 2008-11-11	Lolita Bungalow Samui, Maenam Beach Lolita has the perfectly quiet beach, no other tourists, no vendors, the whole beach is yours alone. And no noise from motor vehicles, as the main road is far away. Like Chaweng used to be 20 years ago... And for those seeking shadow, it has plenty of palm trees very near to the water, with always a slight sea-breeze to cool you down. The bungalows range from 800 to 3500 THB/night, but even the cheapest are always clean and worth the money. And there are many bungalows directly at the beachfront, something you will not find anymore at Chaweng beach. The restaurant has a very nice terrace directly at the beach, the food is inexpensive but still very tasty. If you seek thrilling nightlife, Chaweng with all the bars and clubs is just 12 km away, 20 minutes by scooter. All-in-all, Lolita is the #1 choice for those who want a beachfront bungalow on an almost private and totally quiet beach. I have been there 2 weeks in 2006 and 2 weeks in 2008, and I definitely will come back.	works efficiently. No complaints.
Susanne Denkmann 2008-08-31	Lolita Bungalow Samui, Maenam Beach alles wunderbar! Wir hatten einen tollen Beachfront-Bungalow, der neu gebaut war. Schönes Bad, sehr bequemes Bett, Kühlschrank - alles sehr sauber. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Leider waren wir die einzigen, die dort gegessen haben. Der Strand ist sauber, das Meer herrlich. Es gab zu unserer Zeit nur wenige Touristen. Ein sehr erholsamer Urlaub in schöner Umgebung und Unterkunft.

Situated on a quiet beach, the pace is relaxed, the gardens are lush and Lolita and her sisters are warm hosts. Lolita s food is not to be missed - it is the real deal - delicious Thai food, and the freshest of seafood. Mae Nam village is only a short walk away, where you can find street vendors and market stalls. We had a great time there.	Very easy to use and prompt

A genuine mistake so no problem, but then we were asked to pay more money for the larger room she had available. After some arguement she refused to give in - it was late & we were tired so paid, but not at all impressed. Also, I asked the lady about ferries to Koh Phangan & was told everything was full. It was only the morning afterwards at breakfast that I asked again and was told a boat was leaving 200 yards down the beach in 25 minutes! I then had to run with all bags down the beach in the 30 degree heat. Maybe we were just unlucky but I wouldn t go back, even though our room was fine.	No room reserved for us. I think Sawadee need to add an extra step to confirm all rooms for guests. Also, Tom told me that I did not need to book the boat to Koh Phangan & could do this on arrival at the hotel, only to find the boats were full the next day. We sorted ourselves out, but didn t need this hassle thanks

Louise Brown 2008-06-16 until 2008-06-18	Lolita Bungalow Samui, Maenam Beach Lolita bungalows offer, apart from the clean comfortable beach bungalows, the BEST FOOD cooked by the two sister proprietors. Ask what specials they are cooking each day and forge about the menu ( which is actually very good ) and you will taste some excellent Thai cooking. Their Thai curries are exquisite and they did a fabulous king prawn dish with garlic and pepper that was the best thing I ate on my holiday.	No problems, all good.
Barbara 2008-05-17 until 2008-05-26	Lolita Bungalow Samui, Maenam Beach Lolita Bungalows are very simple but an absolute pleasure. If you re looking for 5 star decor - these aren t it - but if you take away the aesthetics and consider that all you really need is a large, comfortable bed, air-conditioning, your own private space - then these are for you at a decent price. Having walked the entirety of the bay, they are also in the best position on it - which is pretty much in the centre with a few beach bars and restaurants close by, plus all the local street amenities too. It is a really tranquil spot where you may only about 10 people within a mile of you (depending on when you go of course), but that shows the peace you can expect. The family staff are always on hand at the cafe serving food and drinks all day. We have now returned twice to this area and wouldn t recommend spending money on anything over and above Lolita as it really is all you need. The ONLY thing for me was that the showers do not have hot, running water. Not that they re bracing cold either and after a hot day on the beach, a hot shower is not necessarily what you want. But for those expecting that - it can be a bit of a jolt to the system! The trick is to dip in the sea and then come in for a shower as then the water is really warm! For my boyfriend - it was the fact that there is no beer fridge, of course! But with the cafe and the local store at the end of the driveway, it really isn t an issue either. Maenam is also a 10 minute distance from Bo Phut, maybe half an hour from the airport and Chaweng and about 45 mins from Lamai. All an easy, doable distance. Location, position and comfort is all great. They re definitely worth they re money.	Quick and easy.

However, can suggest to owner to switch on some lights in the night and have some direction sign to the c. Had some problem locating the reception area when we reach the place as there were little light and no one to receive us.	My reservations were prompt. The online payment transaction was hassle free and there was quick confirmations. I am very happy with in the way my reservations were processed and confirmed.

Good food - cooked spicy-thai-style or in tourist-european-style, you just have to say what you want. Clean Beach. Different guests (germans and austrians, brits, french and so on), about 50% young couples or families and 50% elder people (some longtime arrangements).	Top!

Bungalow balcony right by coconut palms then straight on to beach within couple of metres. We walked the whole beach of Maenam Bay and this is definitely the best place. Great food at the restaurant and friendly service from Lolita. Close to the boat to Koh Phangan which is handy.	Excellent and efficient.

Lolita was the nicest resort we stayed in while in Thailand and it is fantastic when you are travelling with children. We can´t wait to go back! (Restaurant was good too!)	Great.

I would very much like to have a little refrigerator in the room, just enogh to keep water or a beer. Lolita is ,as someone else mentioned, a little too eager to make you eat there all the time, but the food is OK, so it´s something you can live with. The beach on the other hand is not so good, quite dirty, and there are no sunchairs, if you like these. When we were there, it was very windy, and therefor not nice in the water. I would call it dirty.	Absolutely no problem booking with Sawadee!

The beach was wounderful to swim and walk ( nice restaurants at the beach ) The restaurant at the hotel was very expensive and the staff was not very friendly. But the area is more quiet then Chaweng!! Close to the hotel are some supermarkets and you can take a taxi to Chaweng Beach ( cheap ). Koh Samui is very touristic, so it was ok - but we liked Koh Phangan better.	easy, fast and we can highly recoment

Harvey 2006-03-24 until 2006-04-11	Lolita Bungalow Samui, Maenam Beach Very clean and basic aomodation straight on the beach, rooms had everything you needed for a good base for the holiday, but there was only one plug that we could find.Beach front bugalows were the best as you could open your doors right on the shore line. Great quiet beach for relaxing on but u may want to buy some beach towells from tesco lotus out there as they aarent supplied(only bathroom towells are).	Good but didnt realize we had checked out early even though we emailed you saying we were only staying for 9 days insted of 18!!

Booking with Sawadee was safe and easy! I was really surprised at how fast and easy it was, and thrilled that it all worked without a hitch.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und spricht sehr gut englisch. Nachdem wir Lolita erklärt hatten, dass wir gerne Thai-Like (kein Tourist-Food) mit Chillies essen, haben sie und die Köchin sich einen Spaß daraus gemacht, uns mit den tollsten Curries und anderen Gerichten zu bekochen, die teilweise auch gar nicht in der Speisekarte standen. Einfach super! Ursprünglich wollten wir nur 5 Tage dort bleiben, haben dann aber auf 11 Tage verlängert.	Unkompliziert und problemlos.

The owner however made it quite obvious that she expected us to eat there every night. We ended up staying 9 days and really enjoyed our holiday. Also there are lots of stray dogs around the streets and the beach which can be a real nuisance at times.	Very good and efficient

Directly located on the beach, giid restaurant, there are only women who work there, one of them, wants you to eat fresh fishes if she has some. Try them!!! Red Snapper with Currysauce or in Garlic is delicious! Perfect for nice unstressy holidays and if you wanna go to chaweng for night discos, just take the Pick Ups for 50Baht each person.

The bungalows are simple but in good condition. Provision with fresh towels and room cleaning had been carried out daily in a proper way. The staff is friendly and helpful. Nevertheless it seemed to me that there had been the expectation that their guests should take their meals in their restaurant only , and they showed their dissapointment clearly in case not. It is recommended that additional costs for meals and beverages will be paid directly. In case they are taken to the bill these costs should be plotted by the guest as well. In our case the staff added the breakfast, which had been included, to the additional costs for beaverages, laundry and meals. But that had been a minor item. All things considered it had been a great holiday in a nice place.	Simple booking with all informations provided promptly. The deposit for the bungalow had been allocated correctly.

Lolita runs this place really neat. If you want a quiet holiday away from mass tourism but still has it not far away , this is a very good choice.	Everything went as suggedted!!

We changed to newer one close to the beach, better standard with A/C and hot water (not needed +37 degr!) Calm, silent, clean and very friendly. Good cooking with excellent fish and self-service possible during daytime with softdrinks and beer. Easy to find and reach and good transport service. Very dark small road, 200m, from main road. We recommend this place to all our friends if not teenagers!	Smooth, easy and you feel welcome to this part of the world!
