Marco & Claudia 2008-12-25	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach Very nice hotel at Lamai beach, which is a bit more quiet than Chaweng. Staff is a big plus here, very friendly, correct and extremely helpful(esp. girls at the reception). Rooms are OK, some look a bit tired and worn out. Small pool, but the broad beach is right in front, which is great. The sea is good to swim in. The hotel s restaurant is super. Food was very good and nicely presented. Defenitely go there !	Good, no problems.
Robert & Suzanne Buckland 2008-08-16	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach This was our 2nd time at the Golden Sands and the staff are a delight and make your stay all the more enjoyable. Although the hotel is a getting a little tired it is still very good value for money and we ll most certainly be back next year.	Very efficient and keep in touch
Udo Hartmann 2008-02-09 until 2008-02-29	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach We booked a glasfront bungalow. Dont do that, its dirty, sparkling, moody and very small. Dont believe the pictures on the webside. We change to a hotelrrom. It was o.k. Staff very friednly. Breakfast was o.k. The restaurant to expensive, go in other on the beach. For this prices you can get a better resort on samui. I will dont go there again.	No problems, good services
Jonny Dahl 2008-02-09 until 2008-02-17	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach The hotel is on a nice lokation, rigth to the beach. The beach is not a good beach if you have children. Big waves, 5 meters out it is wery deep. Rooms are a litle old, but ok. The staff is wery nice, and the maneger of the hotel is a wery nice guy and he is always around if you need help. The hotel is placed in the best end of the town if you need some peace and quired. But you dont have to walk more than 100 meters and you are rigth where the action is.	The booking service was wery good. At first we tryed to book on Thaihotels.com, but they were wery slow, and made a lot of misthakes. Then we tryed at Sawadee, and at once ewery thing was going the rigth way.
Anne Ruud 2008-02-02 until 2008-02-17	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach When we arrived at the hotel we got wery disapointed. We tought we were going to have wery nice rooms since the rooms to begin with were quite exspensive. We were offered 40% off since it was our first stay at the hotel, so we ended up paying about 31000 bhat per room for 2 weeks. When we arrived and entered our rooms it was wery weared down even though it was written on the hotel pages on the internet that it had been upgraded lately. We understood that the pictures on the internet must have been taken when the hotel was new. Several of the bathrooms had holes in the walls, and there was stains of mould because of humidity. There was no curtains in the showers so we had to move the toiletpaper everytime we were going to take a shower. We found out that we should not complain, because we were only going to sleep there, and that we would spend most of the time outdoors.The hotel-staff were wery nice though, polite and did all they could for us to have a pleasant stay. The room was cleaned every day and it was done well. New beach towels and bathroom towels were given to us every day and on my boyfriends birthday the hotel staff gave him a big beautyful flower-arrangement. The hotel restaurant had good food, but most of the time we were served so that the first person was finished to eat when the last got his food. Understandable when we were 12 people for dinner, but it happened also if we were 4 people. The hotel had a nice location, with a pool and only 2 stairs down to the beach. All in all a pleasant stay because of the nice staff.	Superb communication and easy way to order on the internet. Thank you.

Andrea 2008-01-16 until 2008-01-22	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach the Hotel is nice, neat and tidy with a quite good looking garden with big green lawns and palm trees. The pool is good and right on the beach. Service is friendly and very discreet. The only minor defects of the Hotel are: 1. bad acoustic insulation of the rooms, so that you can clearly hear what s going on next door; 2. very average breakfast. There are much bigger problems with Samui, not to be blamed on Golden Beach Hotel. The place has become quite ugly and noisy. Sea water isn t very good, the roads are narrow, trafficked, badly paved and muddy. There s a lot of restaurants and shops but the quality is medium low. What s been more annoying this time is the new habit of the fireworks, going on up to midnight and beyond. Huge blasts waking up my little son in tears several times between 10 and 12pm, every day! It was not New Year s eve, neither western nor chinese nor thai! I think that if Samui doesn t want to lose all the little baby guests and their families, they should do something to address this issue. Generally speaking, I ve been to Samui several times in the past but this will be my last time.
Marina Whiteman 2008-01-03 until 2008-01-09	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach Good hotel for the price. The bungalos with glass doors are better than the villas. The condition of the rooms is average and they need to be refurbished. The beach is nice, water was clear on most days. Nice breakfast. We have stayed there for the New Year Party and it is just great how the stuff prepared everything including food and program. Massage in the hotel was not too good, we used to go to the hotel next to GSBR.	Excellent and reliable service
Colin Shepherd 2007-10-01 until 2007-10-06	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach The Hotel is in a great location, the poolside area is nice and the grounds are lovely. The food was also quite good and service was OK but the staff, whilst pleasant enough, lack the level of trainig that would improve the tone of the place. Unfortunately the rooms are sadly neglected and in dire need of upgrade. We stayed in the glass front bungalows. You don t expect a lot at these rates but the mould and bad odours in the bathroom and the genreally shabby decor is a sign that the management is eaking every last buck out of the place before either giving up or investing in a reasonble upgrade.	Booking service was very good- fast and efficient.

The rooms wasn t far from the river and the restaurant is recommended. The room was nice but we think that they have to be renewed..	very useful and very fast i will you it again
The Andersson family 2007-07-05 until 2007-07-11	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach We stayed here for the 2:nd time in the Seaviewroom. They were ok but not more, could really need a refreshing now! Small bathroom with the shower next to toiletchair, you have the water everywhere! Nice pool with a small childrenspool next to it. The jacuzzi didn´t work. They have built a new restaurant next to beach and the menu is a bit expensier now. Breakfast was good with a lot to choose of. It´s very good to live close to beach and yet have the nightlife just outside the hotel. Quite in the evenings too!	No problem at all!!
Gerard McConville 2007-06-27 until 2007-07-05	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach Very happy with it. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the restaurant had lovely meals. We changed from a deluxe room to a superior room, because the deluxe room was noisy, with the air conditioning units outside it. We got moved to a superior room on the 1st floor and it was great. Access directly to the beach and a lovely pool.	Excellent. We only booked it a few hours before we arrived and it was all sorted out, including the transport from the airport.

Lee Christie 2006-12-28 until 2007-01-02	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach The pictures don t do the place justice. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and spacious, stayed in the glass bungalow. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great: close to shops, scooter hire, pubs and restaurants; beach front pool with jacuzzi overlooking the ocean. The new year s eve gala dinner was an absolute feast and the hotel staff really went all out. We would definitely stay at Golden Sand Resort again if visiting Ko Samui in the future.	Very easy, no hassles.
Norm 2006-08-11 until 2006-08-16	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach Overall, the hotel is great. Reasonable price, excellent location (quiet on the grounds, fun just outside in Lamai) and decent facilities. The bungalow we had was certainly showing its age but still cute and comfortable. The bldg/hotel rooms look nice but generic - I d recommend the bungalows. On the down side, breakfast was only tolerable - but at least there were some menu changes daily. 1 or 2 female staff at front desk were cold and unhelpful - but everyone else very nice. Pool was a little small and not so clean but still good. Only about 3 or 4 of the bungalows and rooms have a real sea view, but always close to beach regardless. For this price range i would highly recommend the place. P.S. They re building a new restaurant for Dec 06 and have a seafood beach BBQ most nights. Also many good eating places just outside. Rent a car for best fun on the island (CH Tours very helpful). Motorbikes are for the young and/or brave.	Absolutely no problems. Smooth and helpful.
Prof. Wolfgang Haupt 2006-07-27 until 2006-08-01	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach Great Hotel on Koh Samui and located on a wonderful beach. The staff is really friendly and professional and we spent a great family holiday there. We ll shure be going back there. Locking forward when the new Restaurant will be finished. The hotel was a very nice hotel with a high service level. The breakfast was a buffet and was very good. We had booked a bungalow with glass front, and it was very good. We had only booked 3 nights, but decided to stay 6 nights more. There were no problems in prolonging our stay and we got a wood bungalow, which we wanted. The bungalow was very clean. The pool area was also very fine. We had a feeling that this hotel recently had been renovated, and there still was works to do. We think that in future this hotel will be a very good hotel, and if we ever come to Koh Samui again we will defently stay at Golden Sand Beach resort again.	It was very easy to booked through Sawadee. And the taxi driver picked us up in the airport as aggreed. During our holiday we contacted Sawadee because we want a driver to take us around at the island. And everything functioned perfectly. The driver was a nice guy and had good suggestions for sightseeing to us. We were very pleased with the trip.
Greg Stewart 2005-12-24 until 2005-12-31	Golden Sand Beach Resort, Lamai Beach WHEN WE CHECKED IN THERE WAS A LOT OF BUILDING WORK, SO WAS A BIT CONCERNED, HOWEVER THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A FANTASTIC HOTEL, WONDERFUL SERVICE, HAPPY STAFF, SITUATED RIGHT ON A BEAUTIFUL BEACH AND LOCATED NEAR ALL AMENITIES. OVERALL THIS IS AN EXCELLENT HOTEL AND IN TIME CAN ONLY BECOME BETTER, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO STAY THERE AGAIN AND THINK I WILL.	BOOKING WAS EASY, RELIABLE AND FAST.
