Samuel S. Lantow 2008-08-10 until 2008-08-12	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach Overall I thought it was nice. I first had a room in the mini suite and the air condition did not work ver well. The bathroom had a rescent remodel and was very nice. I had looked forward to relaxing in the upstairs sun porch and was ver disappointed to find there were no chairs, mats, or cushions as in the photo. This would have been a very nive porch if the simply had that there. Also, if they had some plants to give some privacy as it was just in front of other rooms in the next hotel. So, after one night we changed to the room tristan/hugo. It was perfrect and even 1,000 baht cheaper. Nice room and porch. Would stay again if booking the tristan/hugo room. Staff and service was fine. Could use more chairs at the pool and beach. If they were taken I would just lie on my towel on the beach. Really not a problem.	Booking has always been fine with Sawasdee.com. Usually I can pay in full and get an email voucher. For some reason I did not get the normal email voucher and could only pay for one night on line. Although no problems upon check in I would have felt better to have the same voucher I had received in the past.

D. Kettler 2007-04-28 until 2007-05-07	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach The room was comfortable, clean, and exactly as pictured in the web-site. There were great beachside restaurants a short walk away and at nite it was quiet but easy to get to the action. I d stay there again, no problem.	This is the 3rd time I ve used this service and the results, as before, were excellent!
P&MJ 2007-04-04 until 2007-04-09	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach Hotel is nice built, the rooms are cosy and furnished with originale taste (the TV is bit old and small). The tree in front of the beach provides great shadows and the greek salad were good Consider the relatively high price, a better service was expected for the following points Problems: - at check out they asked for extra charge of 3% for credit card payment (nobody advised nor in web site/ nor at check in) - for days a neighbour with evident psycho (or drug?) problems was left in his room doing a mess without any body doing something (since 6-30 am music in loud volumes, very loud crazy no sense shouting alone, launching and crashing of items (glass/ bottles?). We were scared - hotel staff hammering at 7 am to fix some hut frames - no enough beds for the guests on the beach The staff at the bar was fine/ At the reception staff was a bit too much inflexible (no 2 hours late check out as we were advised room would have been taken soon from new guests... room was still empty after 3 hours)	Fine, but if there is a 3% charge on credit card it should be said it soon
Ola Nilsson 2006-07-03 until 2006-07-10	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach Ok place, room was great for three kids family (good space for money value), stayed in 56sqm bungalow. Nice unusual (for region) design. Pool area was ok. The staff are really great, very helpful (didn t meet the owner though). On negative side: Resort needs some paintjob here and there, all chairs are in need of cleaning. Beach outside suffers from low tide in early july. Restaurant slightly overpriced but food was good. Summary: Ok value for money for a family who don t want to stay in central Chaweng	Great, will use Sawadee.com again
John Eirik 2006-06-25 until 2006-07-16	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach The Corto Maltese Room was a disappoinment; the electrical wiring was improper and produced electrical shocks upon handling. The rooms were wore down and badly required maintenance and upgrading to provide safe and proper housing. The bar/restaurant venue was regarded as an unsafe area as the support structure clearly was damaged by rot and decay and could collapse any time. A heavy lamp fell down and smashed a table while we were in the room; by pure luck nobody sat with this table during the incident. The most alarming was to notice the manager s attitude towards HSE at the venue; which explains why I would not recommend the hotel to anybody before major improvements are undertaken and implemented. The resort area was nice though, as was the locally employed service personnel.	Booking service was good.
A & A Haywood 2006-02-26 until 2006-03-05	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach Run down but going through slow renovations by owner. We stayed in the adjoining rooms. Many problems in 1 room: aircon old, no cable tv tuned in(we had to do it), power fault which was eventually fixed but very inconvenient. Bathrooms not the cleanest and drain smelled. Towels and sheets were stained. Breakfast was very basic and minimal variety. Pool and beach were nice. Wouldnt stay here again until the renovations are complete. Staff and cleaners very friendly and helpful.	Very good would use them again. If changing hotels throughout stay would organise own transfer, would have been much cheaper.
Jenna 2006-01-13 until 2006-01-15	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach After spending a lot of money on this hotel we expected somewhere really nice for our last nights in Thailand. But corto maltese was expensive and very bad value. The service was very poor for the price we were paying. The bugalows looked nice , but ours smelt horrible, with a mouldy ceiling. The smell contamnated everything in our bags. At lunch it was very quiet and our expensive meals took over an hour. When we were un-happy and asked if we could check out after the first night, all we had payed for, they were extremely rude and wouldn t let us, and would simply charge our credit card if we did leave. Especially rude was the snooty French owner who was watlzing around and wouldn t talk to us about our problem. Instead he left his Thai employee to take the wrap. In Thailand we have stayed in nicer places for literally a tenth of the price.	sawadee.com s booking service was good.

But what make this place amazing is the staff, I made friends with all of them, they are open, honnest, fun individuals... they are my friends ever since...
Marc. Simkins 2004-08-16 until 2004-08-20	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach Great!!! We loved it. The rooms were spacious and the staff was friendly. And my wife fell in love with the resident dog! We ll definately go back again.
Laurent Chagnon 2004-08-13 until 2004-08-17	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach We stayed there 3 nights and we have some comments to make. 1- There is pratiquely nobody at the reception so if you need something you can wait quite a while. But the manager when he s there is very efficent. 2- The room have seen better days. The picture on the website must have been taken many years ago. We can t say it was dirty but the couch, the bed and the room in general were let say old!!! Surely not as nice as on the picture on the website. 3- The pool is nice but very small 4- The main disappointement was the beach in front of the resort. You cannot really swim and the beach is not as nice as further south. We paid a certain amount of money and feel that we did not get our money worth.	good service, it take 1-2 days to complete a reseravtion

The kitchen was awerage and the food overpriced. Noise from 24.00 to 02.30 from the lokal outdoor-disco. But in total, a good value situated on the family friendly end of the beach.	smooth
Dr. Mustafa Akhun 2004-07-07 until 2004-07-10	Corto Maltese Resort, Chaweng Beach Dear Sirs, The hotel and the service were satisfactory except one thing: The hotel charged 300THB for the return transfer to the Airport on 10.07.2004 although it was indicated as 200THB. Their argument was that the flight was too early (at 06:00 am) even we had already informed them about our schedule.
Descamps 2004-02-14 until 2004-02-19	Corto Maltese Resort (one of Temptation, Chaweng Beach I like very much the bungalow and the place. The staff is too too much, if I come back next year I go again. Just one thing the beach in all Samui is very dirty I come since 1999 every year it is the first time I see that!!!!
Mrs Holloway and Mr Hammerton 2003-12-27 until 2004-01-01	Corto Maltese Resort - Koh Samui, Chaweng Beach Nothing like the web site pics (web site makes it look and sound fantastic!) Rooms second rate, expensive and full of creepy crawlies (my partner was bitten by a poisonous 6` milipede and we spend one night in Samui hospital! The owner (Patou) perfectly sums up the worst characteristics of a Frenchman - rude and arrogant! Checked out 10 days early and found a fantastic resort (Banana Fan Sea) just down the road for almost the same rate.	No problem - very efficient
