Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach We loved this resort. Very peaceful, very good beach for swimming, no disco music and no motor vehicles. Beautiful landscape and pictoresque bungalows. The staff did not speak english very well but they tried their best. Rooms were very clean and had all the comfortables needed. Recommended if you want to relax. Not a luxury resort but very nice. Many steps and a lot of climbing so not good if you have difficulties to walk. All the shops and restarants are far away so if you like those things, this is not your place. |
Very efficient, no trouble at all. |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach Extremely disappointing. Have been there previously and it was good. Now that it has been sold for takeover in April nothing is being repaired around the place. The swimming pool has cracked tiles that are dangerous, I nearly cut my foot on one. Also for the duration of our stay the tablecloths in the restaurant were not changed at all, so all the food stains from previous meals were there the whole time. The standard of cleaning in rooms was adequate. If they are going to ask full price, they should be offering the same service as before. |
Sawadee was brilliant as usual. Never had a problem with them. |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach Resort met all my expectations but I was a little surprised that it consisted of so many units. We stayed in beachfront unit, great location and provided everything we needed. Staff very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was unto standard but at times staff were a little slow to replenish fresh fruit plates. The biggest thinf FOR resort maybe alos AGAINST , is it s isolation, as it is approx 15 mins from closest town (500baht return in taxi) but I found isolation and peace and quiet wxactly what I was looking for. Not a young person/s resport, more geared to families or middle aged. Without hesitation would return to Similana |
Trouble free and helpful |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach Similana was great! Very relaxing place. Spa services were good and very reasonably priced. Restaurant was also good and relatively inexpensive. If you walk 5 minutes to the left of the hotel on the beach tehre are 3 or 4 beachshack restaurants which have decent food and drinks for very cheap. Similana is probably 2-3 star hotel, but it is clean and is in a very natural setting if thats what you re looking for and is a good deal for USD $100/night in the peak weeks. They are individual bungalows set up on cliff overlooking ocean or down below right on the beach. |
Overall, Sawadee was great. No problems at check-in. I only suggest its agents improve written english skills for better communication when booking on-line. |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach We stayed one month in Thailand at six differnt places and this was our favorite. The setting, the beaches, the weather, the number of people, the staff and facilites all made this a very memorable stay. Miles of beautiful beaches. Great food at the restaurant and on the beaches. Still many Tsunami stories and the area definitely could use more business to help them. the staff was very atentive yet you hardly noticed them. This is where we will return to first. |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach One of my favourite places in Thailand. Superb location, if you like to spend your holiday quiet and a little bit isolated! Beautiful beach!Beachfront Bungalows very nice(but restaurant far to walk)and well-equipped. Oawthong restaurant at the beach nearly 200meters away with delicious food and a few small bungalows.Distance to Khao Lakh(Nang Thong) about 15km. Very friendly staff!Topspot! |
TOP! Dankeschoen! |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach Excellent hotel right on the beach, just a short taxi ride out of Khao Lak town. Good facilities and very friendly and helpful staff - would certainly stay there again if I was in the region. The beach tree houses really are fantastic! |
Very easy, trouble-free booking. Recommended. |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach Similana Resort is a great resort- new-big rooms- just lovly. We stayed 13 days - to long time. If you want quriernes it is a perfeckt plays. But not for chrildren - no to play with.Similana Resort are 20 km away fro Khao Lak city and it cost 300 Bath each way - no service with the transport, so that is a big minius. So if you want to shop and want differentes restraunts Silmilana Resort are NOT a plays for you - unlest you want to pay 600 Bath for a Taxi every time you want to go to the city. But the plays are lovly. |
No problems

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach what a lovely resort - a welcome change to all the concrete buildings quickly popping up all over thailand. we stayed in a deluxe chalet which was a grogeous tree house looking out to sea. beautiful wood chalet with a big window seat and balconey. the resort was quite quiet when we were there which was nice. the beach is only shared by two other resorts - Sarojin and Meredien which are far enough away not to even know they are there unless you stroll down the beach - which i highly recommend. the beach just gets even more beautiful towards the sarojin. the staff here are very friendly and it has a good masssage service by the pool at the beach. this place is agreat romantic getaway location. it takes about 10 minutes to get into Khao lak town though. we moved from teh similana after 4 nights to be closer to khao lak but were soon missing hte quietness of the beach and pool life at the similan. Khao lak is a great town and the food you will get her surpasses anything you will get at the hotel and for a fraction of hte cost so worth making the trip into town lunch and night times. Recommendations are Noms and Audaman seafood. |
booking service excellent - very accommodating and helpful with all extra requests. |

Similana Resort, Khao Lak, Pakweeb Beach This hotel is very tranquil in a beautiful setting right on the beach. It is quite secluded. There is construction going on but this did not affect us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. |
Very efficient. We needed to transfer from another hotel and Sawadee were very helpful and transfered on our payment to the next hotel. |
