The room has that special Thailand smell of moist that takes some getting used to but other than that, super. A bit far from everything like the beach, the lotus and such but rent a motorbike and the problem is solved.	Sux that you have to pay in advanced to secure the reservation.
Casper Franciscus Harmen Holtkamp 2008-07-27 until 2008-08-01	Anchan Resort & Spa, Bang Tao Beach We stayed at the Anchan Resort & Spa in July, so that is low season in Phuket. Because of that we could enjoy a very nice promotion from the resort with a free cooking class and massage. Also we paid much less for the room. We can only say that this was a fantastic experience, we enjoyed our stay very much! The Deluxe room was excellent, very spacious and with a beautiful bathroom. The swimming pool is also very nice and clean and during our stay we were almost the only users of the pool. The staff is absolutely amazing in making you feel welcome and at ease. Only a few very small points for impovement; The breakfast was a set Thai- or American breakfast. Maybe this was only because of the low season but after a few days you get pretty bored with eating the same. They also offer a free shuttle service to the nearby beaches but this is only untill 5 PM, after that you pay a high price which is a bit unconvinient if you would like to have dinner somewhere else than the Resort (it s pretty isolated). The area around the resort is very quiet, almost no traffic which is very pleasant on Phuket! A place we can absolutely recommend to other people who are looking for peace and quiet.	Exellent as always

I enchant east place to us. Not so closed of the beach, but they drive you there free just take only 5 minutes by car. The place is calm, really relaxed. Habitation is just as in the Internet photos. We recommended this Resort very much. Thanks for this unforgettable days in Anchan, I hope that we return to this place soon. Hasta pronto and see you soon :-).	No problem with booking fast and easy, but the second time we booked, Sawadee.com miss our transfer to Anchan.

Only a small resort so you re not crowded in with lots of other people, but only 10 mins walk to the main beach, shops, restaurants. Accommodation extraordinary value for money - packages with free massage and cooking class make it even better. Very friendly staff, a few who speak good english interact most with the guests. We booked for 5 days and stayed 10.	Easy and efficient - all the details were accurate.

YT KIM 2008-06-02 until 2008-06-17	Anchan Resort & Spa, Bang Tao Beach On arriving Anchan R & Spa late night, SAWADEE Smile was waiting for me with breaksfast,foot massage & cooking class coupons. Stayed here for 15 nights. very calm & quiet place to take a rest.This resort has a very nice & comfortable swimming pool. Staffs are very kind & friendly. They are smiling all the time like Anchan (Anchan means a kind of thai flower). One weakness of this resort is far away from the beaches, stores & some restaurants. Mr.Kim & Ms. Maria at the front desk are very nice. They can organize your any request & plan very well. Thanks to all at this resort(Turn, TLE, Mr. Pa etc..) Evaluation point is 9/10.

Virginia (Ginny) Bishop 2007-10-29 until 2007-10-31	Anchan Resort & Spa, Bang Tao Beach Gorgeous place, great room, well appointed and decorated, clean, TV and DVD player (DVDs avail at reception), free internet, swimming pool looked great, spa was lovely, food good. It s pretty isolated though, so you ll need a long walk to a beach or use the twice daily free car ride, eating out involves walking or taxis. Also the staff (who do really try) have very very basic English which did get frustrating which was a shame as everywhere I stayed in Thailand (over 1.5months) all had great English.	Good as ever

The villa room was excellent and the pool area is absolutely beautiful. It is located 5 mins from the beach but in a rural setting. Bang Tao is quiet in October which means excellent service wherever you eat or drink. Highly recommend	Easy - will use again
daniela curca 2007-08-27 until 2007-08-29	Anchan Resort & Spa, Bang Tao Beach Very hard to find the location,the site map is not correct, is better to call to the hotel and ask somebody to came and take you-this is only thing we don t like.The location was very good and quiet,it is a private villa with a very nice garden,very nice pool,very nice villa,very attentive personal.Specialy thanks to mrs Pinky.Very good service at the massage center.Highly recomanded.	Very easy,correct and fast.We don t have any problem and we have 6 different reservation in 6 different places.

The resort is not near the beach unless you call 1.3klms close....The food is average and no other options close. The room pool and garden is nice....so if you are looking for peace and quiet with no beach this will suffice....	always excellent

This is an intimate resort with extremely friendly staff and a very nice ambience. The deluxe rooms are impressive and surround the pool and garden area. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded resort walking distance from the beach, Anchan is perfect.	Very easy to book and efficient confirmation.

The layout of this small resort is beautiful and has nice rooms. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful and they make great coffee and there is also free internet. The location is about 5 Minute walk to Bang Tao beach and a further 10 minutes walk past some resorts to some good beach side restaurants and bars and apart from that there is nothing much else around.	Good booking - no problems

Best place in the world.... did not feel like sharing my comments so that I can selfishly keep the resort all to myself ! Very personalised service and an excellent GM who waits on us !! Please remain the pure sheer paradise as you are !!!	Was very taken care off. No hitches at all. Everything went smoothly.

Camere spaziose e ben pulite circondte da un rigoglioso giardino (forse fin troppo rigoglioso!). Abbiamo prolungato la nostra permanenza di due giorni, qui ci si ricarica veramente! Tutto lo staff gentile e discreto. L hotel è a circa 5 min. a piedi dalla spiaggia (poco frequentata), dispone comunque di un servizio navetta comodo e puntuale. Consiglio questo hotel a chi vuole stare lontano dal caos e dalla folla.	ok!
Paul Milne 2005-10-23 until 2005-10-28	Tonsai Retreat Spa and Resort, Bang Tao Beach We stayed here for 5 nights, & thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing & tranquil atmosphere. Although it is a little difficult to find at first, & a distance from many other facilities, it is well worth the effort. The staff are very friendly & helpful, & with only 7 rooms sharing the hotel, relaxation was easy. The courtesy shuttle bus throughout the day got us to the local beaches & shops, & in the evening the hotel owner came & collected us in his car, if we ate out locally. Overall I would definitely recommend the Tonsai Retreat, & will visit again myself in the future.
