Coral Island is outstanding, and comes closer than most to fulfilling that seductive mental image, we all seen to have of discovering a remote, perfect, untouched island escape, where the sand is pure and white, the water translucent, the sunsets religiously inspiring and the crowds for away.
Coral Island Resort is situated 9 km off the south east coast of Phuket. The island is surrounded by colourful coral reefs, hence the name Coral Island. The island has two long stretches of white, sandy beach on one side, and a few quiet bays on the other. Only 15 mins. by speedboat or 30 mins. by ferry from Phuket, there`s total seclusion in this lovely resort. A short trek over the small hill and rocks will lead you to a small, quiet cove with a beautiful beach and an excellent hideaway during the day.

About the hotel:
Drainage of wash-basin and shower not good, tap water yellowish. Water pot outside the room not filled up with water daily for clients to rinse their feet prior entering the room. Not my first time there but seems bathroom condition worsen than last year, need to focus on more maintenance in bathroom.

good, but not every convenient as need to make payment twice for one booking, suggest in future charge total amount at one time.

The bungalows NEED to be renovated. Pool nice, beach ok, not much going on at all, only one restaurant so you have to eat there. overall stay 5 out of 10.

mooi eiland, leuk snorkelen, wel bij hoog water, bij laag water niet te doen simpele huisjes, direct aan het strand. eten goed, savonds uitgebreid buffet voor 300-500 bath

About the hotel:
It s a nice beach for snorkeling, with many different kinds of fishes. Don t forget to bring your snorkeling shoes. My remarks: bad smell from the bathroom, the food was so-so, very pricey internet, and the staff was not very kind.

About the hotel:
A wonderful simple resort on a beautiful beach. Bungalows are very basic, but clean. Food was good - a breakfast buffet in the morning. We generally chose something from the a la carte menu for lunch, and had the buffet at dinner. (Dinner buffet ranged from 299 to 399 baht per person.) The beach was nice, but snorkeling a little disappointing. Lots of beach chairs. Look for the Hornbill birds that come out in the late afternoon by the pool. The hotel charges 500 baht per person for the boat to and from the island - we thought that was a ripoff, but weren t sure how to arrange for a local boat. Otherwise the staff are very nice and friendly. They put on a fun new years eve party! If you are looking for a relaxing beach this is great, if you are looking for a party place, go to Patong beach.

About the hotel:
The location was just suberb. OK rooms, pool great and the water just crystal royale. Go to Banana for a lunch. The ONLY lack is perhaps the abscense of alternative wining and dining in the evening.

An excellent hideaway during the day. Fishing and a sunset sailing cruise can also be arranged. Watersports are available on the beach. Diving and instruction is available in English, Japanese, Chinese and Thai.

Coral Island is a village cottage comprising 64 very private one and two-bedroom villas discreetly scattered around the beach and Poolside so as to little as possible. All cottages are air-conditioned and private terrace which overload the sea, the garden and pool.
