Mohammed shujauddin 2006-12-30 until 2007-01-01	J.R.P. Hotel, Patong Beach hotel was in a nice sort of 3 mins by car out of town location. around 10 mins from patong beach during day time. hotel was clean, safe, nice view but nothing exceptional. staff were helpful. the 5th floor super deluxe (or something rooms were best) cause of the view. didnt eat there so wouldnt know. left my hugo boss USD 700 jacket in the hotel and it was returned in 2 mins when i went back to the hotel. not much noise. perfect for couple, not so perfect for single guys. i had my girl friend with me so we were happy but my brother didnt have a girl, so he wasnt so happy. best thing would be to rent a moped/scooter. makes life more fun. i rented a 600cc bike so that was lots of fun, great riding around the island. i would return, prices could be more competitive. for about 1300 baht you can stay closer to town 5 min walk from beach, in a smaller room hotel but very clean and safe as well. so price was the only downside.	service was excellent

Hotel, Patong Beach The hotel location is around 15 minutes by motorbike (or 1 hour walk) from the beach, contrary to the 5 minutes claimed on the website. Similarly, rooms are basic, not luxuriously fitted as claimed. The bedsheets were unclean and basic amenities were lacking (soap, toilet paper, shampoo). Similar hotels in the area offered slightly better accommodation for around half the price. I will not stay there again.	I expressly reserved a double bedded room which was confirmed but small print on the booking voucher identified the room as a twin which was extremely inconvenient and could not be changed by the hotel staff.
Josef Dornicak 2006-12-23 until 2006-12-30	J.R.P. Hotel, Patong Beach Our room was large and comfortable and the service was adequate. However, the location is too far from the beach, so we had to take taxi (tuk-tuk), sometimes 3X a day to get from the beach back to hotel. It is not safe to walk from the hotel to the Patong beach and back, due to the non-existent sidewalks, narrow, hilly road and busy traffic. This will add at least 100 bahts to your cost, per each 10 minute trip to the beach
