GOPALAN THANGASMY 2008-06-13 until 2008-06-14	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach I will not go to this hotel anymore, their service is very very poor, they don t give a damn for customer s feelings. I had booking with breakfast but they refuse to accept even after I showed my voucher, they got the cheek to ask me how much I paid my agent for the hotel, I was at their whims. The hotel looks run down with very low occupancy, the ambience at the lobby level was very lousy and dirty.

Is very high building in Patong beach. Very nice view on bay Patong from balcony and windows rooms. Very good staff, breakfast and pool near hotel-very god also. Elevetors light in the dark-nice. Building very nice also. But only not more problem: this biulding - 15 years ago and some wall in room not freese, not good. But for my rest this not problem. Very good people live in hotel with me not noice, not young people - very calm. Very good big room, good balcony, bath room. Price very chiper in Sawadee.com site - 690 baht. Good location place hotel near big supermarket. If you wanna visit Phuket- begivning whith this hotel. Possible live littel time - 5 days and you understand my words about thios hotel is thru. Simon Soh 2008-04-10 until 2008-04-12	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach Location of hotel is perfect, few minutes to walk around Patong beach area. Hotel apperance in/out idealy will need improvement, in the room all basic things are neatly provided, we very much appreciated it. Other than comparing to expensive resorts or star-rated hotels this is a hotel to put up, nothing to complain about. IMO, I ll rate a 7/10 for score.

The room was old and dirty, the balcony door wouldn t close and I was scared someone would come in at night. The sheets on the bed didn t even have an edge on them, they were more like torn fabric. The hotel looks great on the website in the photos but is nothing like it in realy life. Stay somewhere else! Staff didn t seem to care that things weren t up to scratch. You could do so much better....especially when other hotels include breakfast and this hotel doesn t!	Sawadee are a great booking service, very efficient and friendly.

Shower curtain dirty. service is very poor. I left a pair of shoes and a brief case in the room. Nobody mentioned it to me when checking out.

But for such a cheap rate, clean sheets and new towels are all you really need. Don t take your girlfriend, but for a weekend with the guys, a-ok.	Good service, no problems.
Sotheary 2007-01-19 until 2007-01-20	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach This hotel looks impressive from a distance - do not be fooled!! The room we stayed in was awful, it was old and smelled like mould - as if the windows had never been opened and air never let in!! The building was like an old college / university building with small cramped dirty dorm rooms. We were so disgusted that we slept on our own blankets on the bed as we did not want to touch anything - we did not even shower or wash the next morning as the towels that the hotel provided were old, wet and smelly!! We will never ever stay here again. The next day we moved to The Nice Hotel across from Montana which was awesome (staff were superb and hotel clean and welcoming)and we also stayed at Pechnamuang Guesthouse (next door to Nice Hotel) which was brand new, clean and rooms huge - only 1100 baht per night.	I always use Sawadee and never had any problems. Great reliable service!!

The hotel needs a complete lifting. The corridor are quite dirty and the rooms would need new furniture. The floors and windows have probably never been cleaned... The surprise was that the hotel has quite a nice swimming pool...	Sawadee was perferct as alwasys. I will continue to book through your website for my next trip to Thailand
Kelvin 2006-12-16 until 2006-12-18	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach my room on 0815 ( triple room) was okay and big, nevertheless it is quite expensive for room rate at THB 2290 without breakfast and without other services such as bell boy etc. pillow was not so good. There is asign board indicating THB 1290 per night ????. Luckily the room was painted, still need further renovation or refurbishment to regain their past glory. certain floor still in bad shape, as you can see empty room, broken glass and also 14 floor may not be ideal as witness many charm on the room door. The building managment must take action to renovate and take effort to change the negative comment by taxi driver etc as they feed negative feedback when we told them we are staying in Montana Hotel. my first impression on the hotel was bad, after getting the suitable room i find it alright but expensive for such service and room. no water heater/ jug for hot water for drinking. bathtub water luckily warm, only 1 eceptionist to take care of quest. I can get better room nearby with breakfast with additional THB 400 for 3 person.( total THB 2700). If the room rate for triple room is within THB 1600-THB1800 during peak season i will consider staying again. Non peak season rate should be THB 1100 - THb1300.	no online chat available to deliberate when need to ask question or queries. experience 3 days delay in resopond to my queries on room cancellation or changes. Unable to obtain further information on extra payment paid.
Michael 2006-10-20 until 2006-10-27	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach The Montana Grand is a reasonably presented hotel in one of the side streets a 5 minute walk from Patong Beach. At first the impression from the hotel was as always when purchasing a room from the pictures off the internet where is the one I booked however after settling in and viewing price and relative distance to all amenities I found this to be of exceptional value. The staff were courteous although most lacked even basic English, hand signals ended up being the base language for us. Lets face it however, once you have unpacked there isn’t too much you need to speak to them about, 1 laundry trip and pizza one night was about it. The hotel itself is needing a facelift, both internally and externally, the best presented place being the foyer. The rooms had a late 80’s décor about them however it seemed to fit into the overall persona of the hotel. We visited the gym, quite amusing to use that word to describe what was there however once again it was a place we weren’t going to visit. The guests that were there at the same time were predominantly Aussie and we also met Japanese tourists, Italians and a Swedish girl at the time we were staying. Overall this hotel was acceptable and I would stay there again in the same circumstances (as a boys trip) however would look for something of higher quality if taking my partner.	The booking was very easy, although we had only 1 week to find acceptable residence this was completed in a timely manner.

Room does not provide complimentary drinking water . It cost THB70 per bottle !! Anyway , hotel location is pretty convenient. Just a few minutes walking distance to night market, restaurants , pubs as well as to the famous Patong beach.	Excellent and efficient.

Steve 2006-03-27 until 2006-03-31	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach Oh, what a mistake it was to book this hotel, I should have taken all the readers comments and advice seriously. All I can say is: what a dump. Really doesn t do Thailands tourism any good having crappy hotels like this one. To cut a long story short, my major complaints are: filthy bed linen, I assume I was sleeping on previously used sheets, at least that s what they smelt and looked like, shower hose didn t work, changed room and therefore didn t have any hot water. obviously the Hotel does t have an inhouse maintainance service. Rooms and bathrooms very poor to look at even had a giant cockroach in my room. Swimming pool didn t look very clean either. I wonder why sawadee.com has this hotel on offer????	efficient service from sawadee.com
Richard Tan 2006-02-21 until 2006-02-24	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach Hotel is rather basic and a little worn and run down. However, staff are very warm and pleasant, and location is pretty convenient. Only about a five minute walk from Bangla, which is a good place for seafood and pubs and shopping. One hint to future hotel guests. to get to the beach the usual way is a roundabout, fifteen minute walk. Or just cross the street to Patong Resort (pretend to look like a hotel guest of Patong Resort) and you will find it a more direct five minute walk to the beach.	Very good service, very prompt. ZHANG YAN 2006-02-13 until 2006-02-15	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach it s a large and high hotel in Phuket,but the guests are rather few even in high season.The room is a little old,the furniture are old too.There is a swimming pool and the water is clean,that is an excellence.The staff are kindly and helpful,but the hotel seems be short of managment. We booked a room for 2 days,after that, we changed a guesthouse,which is cheaper and nicer than Montana.To tell the truth,i feel pity for this hotel,it should be better according to its facility.I think i will not book this hotel if i go to phuket next time.

But when web page proposes Sauna , but on the reception they say sorry, sauna is out of order (and, because of a lot of travaux in the hotel, it seems, that it is out of order for a long time and will be so), it looks like (trying to find proper English word...) dishonest? lie? fib?	Impeccable.

The rooms are shabby, the sheets and pillow covers are very old, sometimes smelly. You really don t feel comfortable to sleep. Several of the Phuket bar scene toilets are better than the one we had in our room in Montana. I would definitely NOT suggest to anyone to stay at Montana Grand Phuket.	Sawadee.com has done a great job. Let s see if they will include my comment on Montana Grand Phuket to their site.

I requested a non smoking and yet I got a room that smell of smoke from the last tenant. I recommend that the hotel should be smoke free zone. Many countries like Australia have managed to have a smoking free zone in hotel. I can t see why Montana can t make it a smoking free zone. There are many advantages of have a smoking free zone like no smoke odour left from previous tenant, lower risk of fire, and many more.	Only the fact that we requested for a non smoking room and still we ended up with smell of smoke.

Gary Sweetman 2005-12-26 until 2006-01-04	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach Hotel was ok,no restaurant,Discotheque massage or sauna as advertised but u can find so many in Patong area it doesn t matter, hotel needs lots of minor repairs all over though, looks good from outside, but inside very old & tired, swimming pool was hardly ever used even though Hotel was fully booked in time i was there. good location about 5 min. walk to Bangla rd. & same to beach- just cut through the Patong Resort acrosss the road. Hotel staff helpful & friendly. will probably stay there again.	Excellent Service , no problems at all, will definetly use Sawadee again. have used twice now
Kris Steele 2005-11-18 until 2005-11-21	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach Hotel was a good deal for the price, in a good location, close to everything, the bed was comfortable, and I found the staff pretty helpful and friendly. The down side is the hotel needed a good renovation. It was a little worn down and dirty, the towels were kind of worn out, definetely nothing special about the room. But for Patong Beach I thought the room was well worth the price. I probably wouldnt book here again, but if you are looking for a good priced room, close to everything, and dont really have high standards, I would definetely recommend it.	Flawless, I used Sawadee.com on a couple of Hotel stays on my trip to Thailand, and will use them again. I felt as if the Hotels were expecting me when I arrived which is a great feeling to have when you first get in to town.

Leow Yoon Liang 2004-12-10 until 2004-12-12	Montana Grand Phuket, Patong Beach Very grand view from the outside, 1 of the few buildings that you can spot from far in phuket. The hotel staff were excellent, providing maximum information and service. However, the hotel doesn t fit the appearance, rather old-looking but spacious room and poor facilities ( only swimming pool, no massage, no disco.) But definitely you get what you pay for! 990baht in high season is a real steal. It s either the hotel system is too horrible that they did not receive the email from sawadee, or sawadee totally forgotten to book for me, upon arriving, they decline our booking untill i speak nicely to them and they manage to contact sawadee and said that sawadee has forgotten to inform the hotel. Whatever it is, this shouldn t be happening. I am unsatisfied with this.	the system is good. however like i said eariler, if sawadee has forgotten to book my hotel, bad!

You came to remind me of it again.Well if you want your review I say not worth a cent so to speak. Hotel staff not train in handling complaint and services.(Minus 30 point)Rooms has no phone service. ( Minus 20 point )Bathroom cieling leaking like moonson rain with dirty water all over you when the top floor ocuppant take shower.Nobody derserve to pay for a hotel room like that.( Minus 100 point) Room smell and stink. Lobby smells of earth work from construction materail. (Minus 10 point). Swimming pool not working properly as water filter not in service (Minus 30 point) espcially for off season where you are more safe to swim in your hotel pool.Hotel staff don t deliver your massage to your room when you have a urgent one.Then they tell you that you can only make phone call at the reception counter.Only interested to charge you in everything you use but don t know how to evaluvated the problem face by hotel guest causes by thier mismanage staff. Even after complaint of problem to them they just ignore that is thier problem. Room s wall water leaking strain by strain when it rain just like a horror movie as water get into electric socket and light swicth create disco light effect in the room. So if you like horro freak and all the unimaginable things to happen to you dream holiday s hotel room Well this is the PLACE to be.......warn ...and be forwarn......	I had use Sawadee.com before and are quite please the last time. But not this time as you did not update your reseach on Phuket s hotel scenario, I suggest you strike off Montana Grand Phuket fro your listing until they put thier act together to desevered a place in your Hotel Listing.We feel we are being cheat of a decent hotel room in Phuket. As for a 750bath a night stay there are plentyful of better rooms available in Phuket during the low season like this.
